How fast is the MH-C9000 charger? How long does it take to charge the 2700mah battery? Is the Energizer 15min charger faster?

draw slower,,,,,,,,,,

I had to draw very slow with my old box, it also drew harder because of less airflow which seemed to give me thicker vapor. Now If I use even the breathing through the nose technique I get crap results. This thing just has way too much airflow now IMO.

Got my box in the mail yesterday, all can say is I love this thing!
Been getting pretty decent clouds from it, which I wasn't expecting
and I dig the stealth factor. Needed something to take to the
pub...Owned a Iolite and still own a VG and this little vape is
definitely more stealthy, great little vape!

Warranty story.

Got my box in January, read this entire thread and was on my way. Seemed like I was doing everything ok but was just getting mediocre results. Bought some 2700's which helped but then noticed my screen had started to separate at the left trench rim. I asked someone at magic flight about it and they said to try and push it down with a toothpick, which I did. It worked for awhile but the tear then expanded. I was getting weak hits and was ready to write it off thinking that small tear shouldnt affect the performance that much. Regardless, I decided to send pics to Blisssville and ask for more advice on how to fix my box. Instead I received a new one 2 days later. It works 100% better. I was amazed how much better than my original, even before the tear. Not sure if the old one ran cold or the new one runs hotter but I'm very pleased now. I'll be sending my old unit back in to maintain my warranty. What a great company and product. Thanks Magic Flight.

I dont know how to post pics here but I have them if anyone wants to see the tear and can explain how to post pics.

Amazing loyalty that comes with simply listening to your customers and making them feel safe. You really have to admire companies like Magic Flight. I'd throw iolite in there as well

I think thats exactly it. The old one seemed to give richer hits, where as the newer box seems to have a higher air to vapor ratio.

I tried the 2700 bats for the first time last night and I was still wanting thicker, richer hits like I used to get with my old box. I guess I will have to start saving up for the PA to get the hits I am desiring... :(

I know every box is different but the warranty box I just received yesterday provides much thicker hits than the one I originalky got in January. Perhaps they modified it over the last few months. I havent sent my old one back yet so I'll compare them tonight when I get home and report any difference.

Ed's TnT,
I have owned my Magic Flight for about two months now, and it is certainly a nifty combination of technology and simplicity. It arrived 3 days after order placement. I had read a lot on how to use it, yet I still had a bit to learn about using the box even after I received it. You can never know everything about it until you've tried it for yourself. This is my first vaporizer, and it's definitely saved resources. Personally, I would recommend this investment if you feel like you will be going through enough bud to deem it a reasonable purchase. One thing I've noticed is (and this is only a theory) when the batteries get hot enough, they run out of energy quickly. I now take every measure to keep my batteries as cool as possible when they're in use. If the batteries get too hot, they could stop working, so it's a good idea to keep them cool anyhow. I hope this helps to provide a better understanding about this vaporizer to those reading it. Happy vaping. :D

i thought the price looked off .
i notice its not the c 9000 but still a powerex charger. not a bad price.

also contact blissville for other types of wood.

they will run you 160. i believe BUT
if the box needs to be replaced you will get a birch replacement or maple or whatever theyre using.

if you do email them ask them if you had to have an exotic box replaced if they could fix YOUR box if you send it back( so if you get a zebra and it fails and you send it back will they fix it.?) id hate to spend 160 and not have it fixed.
i understand that varios woods are hard to get thats why im wondering.

take a hint from bus drivers in the north, to get their radiators running hotter to give more heat they put a canvas cover over the grille and partially restrict air intake, someone could surely come up with a workaround for the MFLB, perhaps a piece of tape over the intake hole with a hole punched in the piece of tape to allow some air through but not as much as without the tape. use holes of varying sizes to determine which yields the best results. ???
anyone else think this could work? :)

All you need to do this is your fingers. Turn your box around and examine the airflow. For comparison, here's what the old air intake looks like:

800px-Old_air_intake.jpg

Compare that to the new intake, particularly the area at the top of the cut for the contact coil:

800px-New_air_intake.jpg

It's subtle, but look at the top of the cut and you can see the shallow groove of the modified air intake path.

Basically air is taken in through that large contact coil cut. In the old design the intake was the same width as the cut for the contact for about 60% of its path, then it roughly doubled in width. You can see this in the second photo. (Because the new channel is so shallow, it doesn't show up well in photos.) The new intake path is wider and shallower and extends the whole length from back to heating chamber. I could be wrong, but I credit this with the smoother hits I get from the newer koa box.

You can choke this airflow by the way you hold the box:

800px-Airflow_partly_choked.jpg

Holding the LB like this reduces air intake considerably. If you want to choke it even more, you can cover part of the cut along the bottom as well:

800px-Airflow_full_choke.jpg

Modifying the airflow like this definitely has an effect. Whether it will make the new LBs behave more like the old ones I cannot say yet. As government is fond of saying, more study is needed.

PS The serial number in that last photo is fake. :ninja:

Yup. I've been charging my Powerex 2700s in my stock charger without any issue. Can't afford the fancy pants charger right now.

Hope this helps!

I have been using the charger I got from them--model V-818--to charge the Powerex 2700s. No problems, fast turn around time.

I personally use both my mflb charger and eneloop charger with PowerEx2700s. Both work equally as well at creating a full charge, I couldn't notice a difference anyhow.

I think all these expensive battery chargers are a load of hype. Sure, you can re-calibrate and all that jargon, but really what are you doing -- extending your life from 700 charges to 800? I have about 12 rechargeable batteries, that's about 14 trillion trenches worth. At that point 15 trillion trenches seems insignificant (but then again, I would never pass up on a trillion bowls). Anyway, the charger is fine. They all work the same way every time I charge them.

And if a battery ever stops working, well I can buy a new one for the price of some eggs. I think all of us vaporizing a few hundred trenches can afford a new battery by the time it's killed. Spending a paycheck on a fancy charger simply seems like a fun hobby for the tech geek in us, but your mflb charger will do the same shit without a fancy FullHD LCD to read 'DONE'

Thanks for the lightning fast replies! 4x2700's on the way!

word. i truly didn't fully enjoy my LB till i got the 2700's. shit is like night and day.

I agree. There was a time where I actually thought my LB was faulty cuz it just wasn't getting hot enough. That was when I was using the lame stock batteries. Now that I have the 2700s, my LB packs a punch.

Agreed my 2700's charge in under 3 hours on my stock chager nd I have 4 of them. Same power every time. Unless you are going through 8+ batts a day I cant see the rationale for the more expensive chargers. 4 powerex are $12. When they are shot I'll buy more, no big deal. Simplicity.....sweet simplicity. :2c:
