I have started as low as 330 and just keep stepping it up throughout the session.

I wish there were some settings that bumped it automatically like the Ascent or Alfa. That would be a good update for the app.

@sweettooth, I start my crafty on 340°F with a booster of 25°F to finish off at 365°F.
IMO I find I get the best flavor and vapor with these settings.

After the booster temp I find my material perfectly vaped. The ABV looks the color of sand.

The crafty is a very efficient unit. I love the flavor of my meds and I get flavor and vapor on lower temps.

I also did a session last night drawing pretty hard and the 1 minute shutoff never occurred and I never hit the booster button once to reset the 1 minute shut off.

I then I did a session drawing very lightly and it shut off in one minute.

Has anyone else had the same results?
I am going to mess around a little more but it seems if you take significant draws the unit stays on.

I had a 5 minute straight up session with hard draws and no booster button reset.

I would love to know if anyone else experienced the same thing.

Thanks in advance!

I think that's the way it's supposed to be. Mostly works for me.

Hi Very high
Same results for me with draw speed. I know the meds are taking affect when my draw slows down and I have to start pressing buttons  my temps these days are starting 180C then boosting by another 20C. yummy:leaf: The 1 minute shut off was the only thing originally putting me off this vape, but now ive been using it, ive got used to it and think its an awesome feature! This vape is stoner friendly in my opinion....unlike some of the other vapes I have owned!

It's chilly in the mountains. The soothing waves of air sway the majestic Trees in dance. I suckle the Crafty and inhale these mighty pines. A glance down at the unit-a double take-I ponder: What strange arts alchemize this tree into warming sunshine and elevated earth?

The Crafty my friends. The Crafty!

I just want to say ThanksFORgiving, Storz and Bickel!

The auto turnoff works pretty well for me too... Might be the years of bonging with mates, taking the piss out of ya if you can't punch a cone in one go Lol

I am using the button like the dead man's switch on the Plenty. As long as I press it every 30-60 seconds, I know I don't have to worry about my hits registering. I'm pretty happy with 190°C with a 10°C boost.

:peace:

Such a great idea... I'm about to get mine on monday, I hope this feature works for me as well. This feature must be the next great way to conserve buds! I must say I'm hyped up now, in my personal experience it doesn't really matter how often I toke, but how much. The less I use per session the less clouded I get =)

Showed my Crafty to my grandparents (along with aunts and uncles) during Thanksgiving. My grandma is in the early stages of Parkinson's. We sat down for an hour or so while I explained the benefits of vaporization versus combustion. I expected to be completely disregarded because my family members are anti-drug (yes, even alcohol!).

This was the first vaporizer that they'd ever seen. My grandma's first response was, "Well, how can that help me?". But, to my surprise, she lacked prejudice in her tone, I saw hope in her eyes. The simplicity of the vaporizer was what won them over. It was so simple that they were confused. My aunt asked, "Is she going to have to cook anything or use a lighter?". I answered question after question while they fiddled with Crafty. I wish I could have recorded their reaction to the vape. I told them how marijuana can alleviate tremors, anxiety, nausea, and muscle stiffness. This will cut her intake of pharmaceuticals. My family liked the idea that grandma can control what effect she receives from the weed through strain and temperature. We want grandma to feel relief without turning into a (in their words) "zombie".

The only thing that could have made the introduction to MMJ and vaping better would have been if my grandma wanted to fire Crafty up right then and there! However, I didn't want to push it too far for one night. I didn't get any negative feedback, just curiosity mixed with hope! She wants to talk with her doctor(s) about obtaining a MMJ card. She was also concerned about marijuana mixing with her many medications. I'm fine with her taking her time. I rather have her get the green light from her doctor. I can't wait to see her medicate legally!

Thank you, Crafty, for engaging my family's interest in vaporization. Something about the device feels solid and trustworthy. It's very user-friendly. Press orange button. Red light means wait. Green light means go. There aren't any pieces to misplace. I feel like my family's reaction would have been different if I had pulled out my MFLB :mflb:with a battery and stem sticking out of it.

When my grandma obtains her MMJ ID, I will be giving up my Crafty. I'll save for another Crafty because her needs > my wants. COOL GRANDMAS FTW!:leaf:

I left my crafty at 180c and set a boost of 25c. I get a bit more vapour vs the 15c boost and the crafty is still cool enough :)

Just a little observation...
I was streaming music from my phone to speakers using bluetooth. And I noticed I could still connect to my crafty!

Maybe it's because it's uses BLE but I thought it was pretty cool. Was expecting to have to disconnect my music.

Yet another cool thing about the crafty.

No pics, was hoping for better results with the nugs but it seemed that the session wasn't nearly as good as the ground material. About half way through I broke the nugs up and finished it off. Had to even pack another one afterwards. Maybe it's just my strain, but I am going to keep on with the fine grind, seems to be a winner and no real loss on my side.

While we're at it: I stopped binge drinking with xanax about 2 years ago to treat panic disorder/anxiety/depression. I read marijuana is safer than alcohol and marijuana gateway to health and about 200 PUBMED research papers on CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC as an anxiolytic and gave it a try. Mind you I have been diagnosed with about 4 dis orders and prescribed roughly 10 medications in my life time. None have worked as well as cannabis. It provides the slight sedation I need and a slight lifted feeling of well being. No pharmaceutical has provided me something that works on both anxiety AND depression so well!

2 years later I sleep well every night, I've reduced Xanax from 4 mgs down to between .25 and .5 mgs. No Ambien. I feel great, I'm happier, more peaceful, and lost about 10lbs.

Along with this I started practicing meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness and I feel like a new person!

The beauty of The Crafty IMO is that it feels like a medical device and since Im taking cannabis for medical reasons I'm glad my device follows suit in look and feel.

So has anyone found a case they like that can hold the Crafty, a classic Jyarz, and (hopefully) the filling tool?

I'm quite interested in the Ryot Pack Ratz (medium).

800_SS-RPR-Glass.jpg

Don't have my filling tool with me to measure, but does anyone know the diameter of it?

It looks like the small Pack Ratz might be able to hold the Crafty and a classic Jyarz, but it would be a tight fit.

Not necessarily looking for something to put in my pocket, more for travel in my car/bag.

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

@Roth Check Walmart near the photo department.

They have a shit ton of cases for external hard drives in all shapes and sizes.

I'm sure you'll find something to your liking and much cheaper than RYOT cases.

Also they are semi hard cases to protect hard drives so your crafty will be safe!

Wow, I literally placed my order for the medium Ryot case 30 seconds before you posted this!

I think I'd actually prefer a soft-sided case, will need to think a bit on that.

Definitely appreciate the suggestion though. Will check out Walmart and see what they have to offer, and compare it to the Ryot case I have on order. Might return based on what Wallyworld has.

Thanks :)

Anyone try straight up kief in their crafty?

I got a mountain of kief and my crafty is staring straight at it!

Or is this how the Crafty takes it? :brow:

:science:
I am pretty sure Crafty can evenly bake anything you throw at it! Maybe even meat? :p
I am down to using just leaves these days and all I take is one hit actually. Found some kief in my shredder though and with a little gold dust sandwiched between some leaves I can have a proper session out of my crappy weed! :D Kief rules!!!

Krizzle

Hi Very high
@Vape Dr. so much Kief.....please share! I have a tiny pile building up in my grinder which I was going to sandwich between some herb just to save messing up the bowl chamber area. Please post your findings

I got my replacement Crafty yesterday 8 days from when I mailed the bad one in and thats including the holiday. No hassle no questions asked and they just sent a brand new unit so now I have an extra set of all the pieces. I wish all manufacturers were this easy to deal with.:tup: for S&B customer service.
