Talk to THC. I am pretty sure he has extra button assemblies to convert all the 8 in USA. My button assembly was lost during shipping. I will contact THC myself too to get the updated button assembly.

I noticed that too. What a scam! Gets you on the site pretty quick though.
Is there anybody besides W9 with a sale on W9 products? They want $31 to ship 3 fucking kiss carts to Canada.

Planetvape. and it does not hurt to ask for a price match!

Has anyone tried the ceramic donut for the kiss carts. No more exposed coils. I would assume flavor is outstanding. I put myself on the wAitlist at w9tech

I had my friend's head shop order them and he says it's the best taste he's gotten out of a globe. I have yet to try one but will snag one soon in order to see for myself. I've read several people here in the forums mention that the clouds are slightly smaller, but that you can bump the voltage to about 4.2v for a bit more vapor production.

When you first receive your kiss carts in the mail, do you clean it or use it right away?

Do you think it is healthier to hit out of the ceramic wick and gr2 titanium of the kiss cart for the Persei or out of the Haze concentrate tin cans (I believe it is made out of stainless steel)?

I don't have any experience with the Haze. But I am a fan of the KISS. However Stainless seems acceptable in many Vapes. My Hercules SR.-71 is SS. Solo has a stainless bowl. :2c:

You forgot to mention the import tax bill too! I got hit twice; Fedex sent the bill by mail after I had done my 2nd order.. I wouldnt have ordered again had I known you are garanteed to pay import tax. I think you are more likely to get and import tax bill with expensive shipping too, the only one avalaible..

And even ordering direct from w9 with an added 6$ handling fee not seen anywhere else, I got dead on arrival items in both my orders (im still waiting for w9 to prove my ti globe coils work to be fair, and I didnt try to fix them. I dont know how. I will learn with diehard kiss rebuild tutorial, but thats a future project. Both oem 18350 batteries in my 1st order). I guess you should specify you want w9 to test your items before shipping them as a solution

I would strongly suggest going with planetvape or another canadian retailer. Or your beloved local online retailer in general. No surprise bill.

Judging from the sheer size of this thread, I am guessing Persei is the absolute go to for portable concentrate vaping?

But then again, I used the same criteria to buy my Arizer Solo, and I was very disappointed with it.

What do you guys think? What are the pros and cons of this? (Too much thread to read through)

Why would you use the same criteria, that didn't work for you for choosing the Solo, to pick a new vape?
Maybe that is an indicator that you should "read" first, then ask the members any questions you may have.

Why I don't like the Arizer Solo: Too hard to pull on, and doesn't seem to get me as high, even though it makes me choke like a motherfucker (cough)

Does the persei hit smooth? Is it easy to pull on? Is it fun to use instead of a hassle. Is it efficient/ will it get me more high or less high then using a TI nail? Is it easy to clean/maintain? What are the pros/cons of it.

It'd be nice if their was a review thread instead of people just asking every question they can think of regarding the product (something they should be emailing the manufacturer for, but it seems like the manufacturer uses this thread as a medium to answer all questions. Which is why its 1000 pages. (You really expect me to read through all of that?)

You should judge nothing more by the size of a thread, than there has been a lot of discussion in its contents. I'm sure you could see that discussion could be positive, neutral, or negative.

Each person has a particular set of criteria they are hoping to fill with that next purchase. In the world of automobiles, a Ram 3500 Cummins turbo diesel and a Nissan GT-R are both great automobiles. They are designed to meet drastically different needs.

You were probably dissatisfied with the Arizer because it wasn't designed to meet the criteria you were trying to fulfill. The Persei is a great vaporizer. Does it meet your needs?

Referring to the Persei + Herc SR-74 combo, my opinion:

Cons: Initial learning curve (both in learning the sheer amount of options, and usage techniques, Occasional maintenance that can take a bit of time. The opposite of a simple pen vape.
Pros: Unparalleled flavor, vapor density. Easy to operate. You don't have to keep replacing cartridges, just clean/maintain the Herc. Extraordinary flexibility in configuration options (Wall powered with the Core, multitude of battery options, multiple voltages, SS kits..)

The cartridge options - well the Hercules is the powerhouse, the other attachments make for an extremely versatile system. the original EO carts, Kiss Carts and Globes and 1701's and Bender all glass herb chambers, Nibbler water tools and more...) The opposite of a simple pen vape.

Thank you VERY much for this detailed answer.

Seems like the pros outweigh the cons...couple questions though...

How often should it be maintained? And what does the maintaining process entail?

I haven't cleaned my Hercules SR-71 in at least a few months now, still works perfectly. After passing it around a lot and loading it up a few times during Thanksgiving, theres probably re-claim build up in the bottom chamber but I'll just scoop it out when I decide to clean it one of these days. It worked like a champ throughout the day, I used the smaller AW batteries then switched to the light-saber SS kit with the 2x larger batteries for the night and it was ripping even after I left to my buddy's apt. Had multiple sessions with a bunch of friends and went through at least a gram that night without problems. Load per session for best taste.

So i need a little help with the herc, I have had the 3.7 rod at home for a while and decided to swap it out and give it a shot. I decided to do a quick cleaning while at it. I noticed the bottom pin on the insuilator didnt have any spring it, it just stayed pushed in. I dont remember if thats how it was before or not. I also cleaned the center pin and put everything back together. I cant get the Herc to fire. I checked the rod length and a few other things. I am pretty stumped, open to any suggestions.

I've become a big fan of the Vapman with its concentrate screen but the Herc remains my goto device. The stealth provided by Herc (in my situation) is unparalleled. The taste is good. My ability to just fix it if the Herc starts misbehaving continues to improve. It's a bit of a pain to clean but I've only cleaned it out once in the last 3-4 months. It's a great device once you sort out what you need and figure out how to reassemble it. I shudder to think about all the sleepless nights I would be having without my Herc.

This was answered in the last few pages. ISO soak the center pin. Use a toothpick to try to help move the pin. The spring may just be gummed up. The fix that @THC SCIENTIFIC offered was to adjust the rod further out to compensate for the compressed spring. When this happened to mine I tightened the rod locking collar slightly leaving the rod sticking out more than necessary. (just enough to hold the rod firmly but still able to push in) then screw it together and let the rod find its own depth. Then unscrew and tighten locking ring. Be sure to test with a meter to avoid dead short. You should end up with the rod sticking out about 1-1.5 mm more than it did before. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, i did soak the center pin overnight because i saw the post a few days ago, ill try your method with the rod and see how it goes

ordered the 8 from vaporwarehouse on fri, received it today. That was fast.
When I talked to the people at vapewarehouse they updated the site to reflect price change. The 8 was $130 shipped

first impression, wow. If you were going to buy a persei I would suggest you look at the 8. The persei feels cheap and disposable compared to the 8. The weight and quality of craftsmanship is well above the persei. I havent received my sr-74 yet so I don't have proper cart to test out. I have a ruvaped skillet but I don't want to get threads covered in oil so I will wait. I did use my ejuice tank and I blow big clouds compared to any battery ive ever owned. I use itaste mvp 2 as a daily driver so thats what im comparing to now. I just wish it had some type of indicator light to show thats its on or working. Other than that two thumbs up

Will the 8 get its own thread or is a continuation of the persei?

The 8 has two caps you can use for it one 601 thread for w9 products, and a 510 for ecig use.
