The MiniVap is obviously not very stealthy so you'd hope it would excel around the house. In my opinion it does.

I like that it stands up sturdy when you set it on a table and it is solid to pass and carry.

Mrs. G likes it too cuz the smell is low. She doesn't normally partake but she will take a small hit here and there with the Mini. Said she really likes the taste. This is usually in bed at the end of the night when the kids are asleep.

I like the taste as well but I especially like that these baskets seem to last forever!

I am not getting huge clouds but I am getting longest lasting "taste sessions" I've ever experienced.

I am tearing off a small piece of a nug and dropping a little grind around it. I give it a poke with some tweezers a few times and it keeps going and going.

The MiniVap is becoming my ultimate "lounge around the house" vape! Great before  like now.

How are you mating the adaptor to the cap?.. And I take it that isn't the flexicone + coming up through it but some tubing attached at the top. OD seems off in the picture.

My replacement arrived yesterday. Love the gold version.

I put it through several runs because the first was so good I wanted to make sure it wasn't my imagination that this unit seemed to perform better than my black unit did. And it does. Is this because my first unit was 'faulty' (were talking before it went downhill) or that this is a newer version where some temperature 'tweaks' are in place?? Don't really know or care.....I just want this unit to be a keeper and if it continues to perform as it is now, it will be.

First of all it seems to reach temp quicker to my initial Green and when I then go to Red the time is noticeably less also ( I hope it's not my imagination since I haven't been without for that long...at least I hope so). The clouds at Green remind me of my old Red. Red hits real strong now and will put me into some coughing fits if I take too big of a hit. That's a good thing of course. :tup:Honestly, this unit is making some real significant clouds at Green and more so at Red. Yeah!

The battery light on this one actually works like it's supposed to. My other unit only showed Blue and never changed to Green.

The glass adapter works with the lid but only if the stem portion of the adapter is halfway inserted into the flexicone. If you put the adapter stem all the way in, the flexicone doesn't seat itself properly in the cap. The partial insertion gives it a little flexibility and that's good for the stem portion since it's the weak point of the adapter. I can see it snapping off if it were too rigid and one wasn't paying attention. So happy I bought the adapter from @mestizo since no worries with the way he designed his. And it's Delrin with a stainless steel insert vs glass.

Since I have been using my Crafty almost exclusively throughout the exchange process I wanted to do an experiment. I took the same load I use in the Crafty and put it in the Mini. Not only did it last about 50% longer the medication was different. I'd say considerably 'stronger' or maybe a better description is more 'intense'. Again a good thing. But why really? Is it the extra hit's I get or is it just better extraction? All I know is that the Mini has earned it's place back as the go to vape at home. Hand's down easily. That's not a swipe against the Crafty because it's a killer unit also and I'm very happy I bought it.

I'm gonna go find a piece of wood to knock on and give the Mini some good Karma so it knows I want it to keep working just the way it is now.....for a long time.

Ahh I see  Thought the outer diameter looked too big to be the flexi +.. I was wrong.
How about hands free use with just the lotus adapter and the flexi? How sturdy we talking? t's a cool looking adapter

@Smknbud
Awesome news bro
Makes me wanna get a goldy just to make sure my unit is up to scratch. Though the fact I had to stop halfway through my second basket last night as I was close to tapping:zzz: out speaks volumes.. Gonna revert to my Teflon liner tonight and hit the pure taste sensation. Bought a big new bong today so will try and get some cloudy pics laters.

And @Smknbud.. What on earth is that device to the right in the background?

Thanks, I'm pretty psyched....

I may take your suggestion and try the Teflon liner again since I don't recall there being a big taste difference between it and the decarb kit. But, being wrong is not something that's not unfamiliar to me, as I'm told often.:)

That device in the background on the right is a Baratza Forte overpriced bean grinder the woman of the house 'needed'.

Haha, I can see your reflection in the "screen" or what ever that reflective surface is..damn she needed a touch screen to grind those beans huh
Edit-glad to hear the dry mouthpiece makes the vapor cooler @stickstones , is this on the red temp or something Lower?

Just noticed the reflection....now that you pointed it out. Good thing it's blurry.:haw:

The display lights up also ....if truth be told, it's pretty cool. It's perfect for coffee centric households.

Twice today with the Gold Mini and I'm more convinced then ever that it's functioning at a different level than my old unit ever did. Seriously, I know I never got the clouds like I am on Green now. The strains haven't changed at all. I'm in a happy spot right now.:leaf:

Not making it any easier for me to hold off on my second unit :disgust:

Edit.. Finally some total worry free as well as hands free MVing.. Albeit in a slightly larger than necessary rig. My smoke shower does such a good job already and will always be my favourite of these two. Really nice for vape newbies to have a blast is the biggy.. It's even possible with the batt attached. :goon:

My current material ain't so resinous so not so much man. Gets me messed up really good though. Nice clouds.

@Smknbud.. I improved my tinkered setup. Still using my "modified" :lmao:Flexicone.
It's the top part I made far far tighter to the cap. I feel it has just enough of a sturdy and rigid jiggle to negate any worries of it snapping. :o

Here's without the reducer.

And here's the mating.

Note also that I've kindof got the flexi - (as in the cut flexicone ) pinched up into the cap a little with twisting.. This along with the tightness of the silicone retention part make a very usable adapter

Heyyyy batter batter batter shaawing! :goon:

Your modified, whether by choice or not:brow:, flexicone setup looks like it works perfect.

Holy :shit: .....quite the rig.

What did you do with your lid you made into two parts? Glue it back together?

I believe it's called best method or some such. It's as fast as they can possibly get it in your hands. I order from the UK and it is about 12 or that 13 gpb fwiw iirc.

Nothing yet.. The retension bit holds the two parts close and tight to a degree but I still have to grip/squeeze that thin rim that is the actual screw on part. Hermes have designed a real easy money maker for themselves.
Anyone mill me a solid metal one piece?
That shit would sell a bunch if quality.
I could see a lot of people busting their caps(not in any asses) tinkering.

Edit.. You think normal glue would be fine?

I know I would go with a high temp. epoxy.

Just ordered some parts last week. $18 is the standard shipping fee it seems. I did get the items in four days though. I was shocked how quick it got here by DHL.

Just purchased the silver minivap. Thanks for the Black Friday discount. I hope this vaporizer is worth all the hype.
First, welcome aboard.

I honestly don't think it deserves the moniker of 'hype', and yes, I understand the context of your comment, I just felt like responding:peace:.

To me, if anything it's been overlooked by many, myself included for quite some time, and it deserves more attention. I think some see that it's been out for some time and that the assumption is that it's 'dated' when in reality nothing is further from the truth. It may not have a phone app like my Crafty or a digital screen to 'wow' you like it's class competitor the Mighty, but it has better taste than any other vape I own and it's such a great bud miser. The bud miser part may not be important to all, but it is too me and I'm sure a great many others. Really, my point is that I think you'll appreciate it more than you think....as many would if they gave a true convection vape like the Mini the opportunity. (hows that for a sales pitch?)

Enjoy it when it arrives!

My unit isn't powering properly when I switch on in the correct manner. Aka dual button press and hold. Instead it instantly sits solid on whatever colour it was last on and does the same when clicking through the temps.
Functions perfectly when I power it up with the twist.
I'll need to try it whilst being mains powered.
Anyone else experienced this?
