at least we know now that even the re-branded ones might have these issues.

I picked up one of these babies a few weeks ago, partly because a got a screamin' deal on it and partly because I wanted to try a portable that's different from the Magic Flight. I read this thread and spoke with the retailer before ordering. I was assured I could return it if the smell referred to was "a problem". When I got mine (2 day shipping at no extra cost to me), I full charged it then ran it empty for enough cycles to drain the battery. On trying my first load, I noticed a smell and taste similar to that mentioned in this thread. However it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Before trying further tests, I soaked the 'pop top' mouthpiece in isopropyl alcohol for 12 hours, rinsed thoroughly and tried again. The smell and plastic taste were gone.

So far, so good. I like this vape (been vaping for about 8 years and primarily use the Arizer Extreme Q).

You soaked the plastic piece in ISO for 12 hours? That's a big no-no.

What's the problem with soaking in ISO? I thoroughly rinsed it after soaking, then dried it.

Pretty sure it reacts with many plastics and degrades them, just doesn't seem wise, warm water and soap, leaving it in for hours seems like it might have some negative chemical reaction, at least from what I have heard.

I just ordered a wulf digital vaporizer from gotvape, got it for $39 dollars on black friday. Figured I would take a risk with such a low price. I will let you guys know how it turns out!

You have a lot of nice vapes in the portable spectrum, what made you go for this over the other chinese ones with less issues(Flowermate,Imag,Atmos,etc...) or any at all?

For science?!

Pretty much for science! My expectations are extremely low, so it'll be hard to disappoint me! (And I never get anything on Black Friday, I gotta start small ;) )

Got the unit today! Came packaged very nicely, just used it for 1 session after a burn-off session, and I was not let down. I had pretty low expectations going in, and was pleasantly surprised by the unit. Only downside thus far is the taste. Tastes a little metal-y, but hopefully that will go away. Picking up some concentrate to try tonight. Will edit!

I actually picked up a titan hebe 2 wich i believe is supposedly the updated version of this vape or what not. I had low expectations. It did smell like plastic when heating up but i didn't soak but cleaned the heating chamber and all plastic with alcohol and gave it a few dry runs. No more smell , it has a digital lcd. Cost me like $45 and i just needed something cheap and portable for a few days due to life's circumstances. Oh did i mention the 1st unit stopped heating up after 1 use , got a replacement. 2nd unit works great for what i paid. Me and my buddy's had a vape off between the the mflb and pax and this and they all thought the cheap vape's taste was great. I am not saying for everyone to go buy 1 but it's not bad and now i want a better portable. It uses a 18650 battery inside that is not replaceable and def a cheap cell , i wish i could replace it but this unit is not made to be taken apart. Heat up time is about a minute and i like that i can adjust the temp to anything i'd like almost. It does only stay on before powering down about 5-8 minutes and it kinda eats herb in 1-2 sittings.
