New Indica 18mm SonG from @Ratchett! This is only on green, I had a couple hits, one of which was too huge so I had to take a break... I'll try to post back with purple and (gasp) red later on

I tried to get cute and got the d021...I hate it. D020 is such an amazing piece for 30 bucks. How well can you milk the indica compared to the solo when comes to vapor bonging?

Not so much different looking on red, next time I'll have to start on purple, then another started on red...

Its about diffusion and cooling @DasBlunt , obviously its not going to work out and about unfortunately, but at home at least my throat and lungs can take a break (and i could never take hits this big dry as well)

@Spinuch I never tried the 20 or remember the 21 even, I had a 20-T and honeycomb ash catch but I sold them once I got this inline honeycomb from Kathy, its super smooth so makes it easy for convection and conduction too (I also have a new 10 arm bubbler coming for some variety), but I've actually never really been able try my Solo through water. I did use the straight stem in my old combustion bong a few times with decent enough success I guess sealing with resin (bleeeaahhh), but that bong is since broken when attempted cleaning. I tried trading for a 18mm solo gong for this piece, but it never arrived so I gave up on it...

Ah yes I just realized it doesn't have the birdcage. I have a zob with a shower head and straight pipe with a honeycomb and my favorite is this 30 dollar d020 from yinyizsdifgashdgasdkdkjg china.

Hello Guys, do you know a simple way to remove the lid of the Indica, even it's permanently ?

Thanks !

If you look closely, you'll see that the top is held on by a pin through the hinges. This pin is held in place by friction so you can remove it, although it might require a bit of force. I can't say whether you'd be able to replace it.

The top of my less than one month old indica noir is cracking. When I first got the indica it had a tiny dimple in the plastic on the top near the flexible metal piece that connects into the plastic top near the mouthpiece. Well the dimple is growing into a crack and I have treated my indica like gold.

My question is this is definitely a manufacturing defect, but the manufacturer could try and claim that I caused it. Although if I had dropped my indica you would expect there to be a dent somewhere on the body. Well there is no dent because I never dropped it. So is this manufacturer good at honoring their warranty or are they one of those companies that will try and blame the customer?

From what I have read on here they seem like an upstanding company, so I'm hoping they will replace my noir. The funny thing is despite wanting to do it I still never flick the indica closed like a zippo. I have heard other people say they flip it closed all the time, if I did that the crack in my indica would have reached the mouthpiece by now.

I have only heard good things about @Indica Vaporizer and that's why I chose to buy one for a family member, now I want one of my own.

Yeah I haven't heard of anyone having issues using their warranty. Also it is pretty obvious it was a defect it would be difficult for me to damage it in the manor it is damaged.

Anybody know the estimated turn around on a warranty replacement?

Should I risk it cracking more and wait until after the Christmas season to return it? I will be without a vaporizer while the indica is gone as my wife recently killed my Silver Surfer by severing the cord by closing the cord into a lazy boy chair foot rest (the metal parts underneath).

If it were mine, and it was still usable, I would hold off til after the holidays. Only reason I say that is because I would need it to get me through the stressful times of holidays with the fam. I would contact @Indica Vaporizer right away though and let him know what's going on.

I would also be splicing a new cord onto that Silver Surfer if it were me, it's really not hard at all. Just use a properly rated cord. Should be very easy to find at your local hardware store.

The Indica from what I have read on here have been very responsive to any problems that the members have had. I haven't noticed anyone having cracks in the plastic of their units. This is the first I've heard of this? I would send a picture with my email.

My replacement Indica arrived today. Got it in Noir, which I'm extremely happy about. Looks better in real life than it does in pictures! Gotta wait for that painful first 12 hour charge, then a couple of burn-offs just in case.

Thanks for the great service Mike!

(Not trying to go off topic here but do you know/can you tell us if the Indica company has any other vaporizer-related products in the pipeline?)

You don't have to charge it for 12 hours. When the light goes out, it's ready to go.

Yeah it still works, the crack is just growing very slowly. I got a PM from Michael. I will send him some pics.

I do plan on fixing the silver surfer. I'm not sure if it can be opened up so that a new cord could be wired directly in where the old cord was or if I should just seperate the ground, positive, and negative on each end of the existing cord and electrical tape each one back together. It will look hideous, but should work.

Thank you for the advice.

Sorry about the double post, I couldn't get this image to upload into my last post. Thanks to any mod that can merge these last two posts.

yeah, i have the same issue w/cracking on mine as well...
8TdjqhW.jpeg

not sure if its a fault with the lid hinge or caused by heat from within. the cracked pieces are being held to the unit by something sticky underneath. i called indica warranty over a month ago and they were supposed to have an engineer call me back. never did, it still heats up and works so i havent pursued it any further.

i've never dropped it and only use it at my desk so its not from wear and tear. its about 4-5 months old.

Yep same exact problem I'm having in the same exact spot. So indica knows about this issue, that's unfortunate that they are kinda giving you the runaround with getting a replacement. My units not even a month old and I'm not going to put up with cracks in the plastic despite whether the unit still works or not. If they tell me to wait for an engineer to call and/or refuse to repair my unit or give me a new one I guess I'll have to contact my credit card company. I really hope indica just does the right thing and fixes or replaces a unit that obviously has a manufacturing defect.

I understand your purpose, but this thread is not existing to hear your personal complaints on how difficult it is to get your replacement. It is unfortunate to hear your 1 month Noir is down, however there are many units performing without any issues.
So please PM Mike, and wait until he get back to you.
Good Luck

Not sure I got it right but if some part of the cable is still fine maybe you can just cut it before and after the part that had the accident and use a switch to get both part of the cable together?

Using something like that?

@dantheman420 and @Burn, There should be no more "run around"as you have now kindly alerted me to of this repetitive issue going forward. I have just discussed this with @dantheman420 in our PM and will personally communicate with customer service regarding the matter. If there are in questions in the future, it will be addressed with knowledge and urgency. My apologies for any past misunderstandings. If your Indica malfunctions within the year of purchase, we will honor the warranty.

@Micheal

I knew this was an upstanding company. I have complete faith that this will be resolved. Thank you for a great product Michael.

@vaporlee

Where did I ever complain about having problems getting a replacement?

Also I think this thread is exactly for pointing out flaws. The noir only is as good as it is because of the beta testers and positive and negative feedback on this thread.

@°k

The cord is in good enough shape to still be reused. I was just going to strip back the wires and braid and electrical tape them, but that device looks pretty cool. Thanks for the info.

That's not quite correct. We have a policy about complaints that allows users to post about once about their problem as long as it is done respectfully. The manufacturer or vendor is permitted one response. Any subsequent posts must include new information. All other communication should be done through PMs or email. The purpose of this policy is to stop FC from being a platform for unhappy customers to bully a company with repetitive posts about an issue.

This is the sort of post that violates our policy. You are not adding anything new about your problem, and you are extending your complaint by threatening to involve your credit card company. Worse, you apparently have not read much of this thread since you appear unaware of the way @Indica Vaporizer supports his product. No one is perfect and sometimes a problem falls through the cracks. Nobody got the "runaround" and as you now know, once it was drawn to Michael's attention he was quick to act. I hope you realize now that your post was unfair and you will be more careful about doing your homework in the future.

@pakalolo My post was adding something, it was adding the fact that this is not an isolated issue as Burn has the same problem, that was NEW information.

Also yes Burn was getting the runaround, "i called indica warranty over a month ago and they were supposed to have an engineer call me back. never did,..." Sounds like the runaround to me.

I was never rude and have read this entire thread, homework complete.

We already knew that Burn has the same problem so you added nothing. "Getting the runaround" implies that Indica was trying something disreputable, which is a quite different thing from overlooking a problem. Assuming that someone is trying to duck an issue is definitely rude. Finally, if you read the thread then you already knew that Michael responds quickly and satisfies unhappy customers (as you yourself experienced) so you were doubly rude.

Please don't play lawyer with me, especially since I didn't give you a point, I gave you a break instead and explained what you were doing wrong. Please also contemplate this rule before you post again:

Sorry if my original post was out of line. The fact still remains that it helped uncover a manufacturing defect that indica was unaware of, that should count for something.

I'm also sorry if I was rude or "doubly rude". I've been screwed over by companies in the past, and despite all of the positive reviews about indicas customer service, until I experience it for myself I can't be sure of their level of customer loyalty.

As I said in a previous post I'm sure everything will work out.
