Hey guys, I am planning on purchasing my second vaporizer this week and I have it down to two. I currently have a Vapir NO2 which is working fine around the house but I want a back up portable to use when I hang elsewhere. Which do you think is the better option? Stealth is not a big issue. Mainly focusing on vapor quality, enjoyable use, reliability, efficiency. The lotus definitely looks tried and true with the only downside being the learning curve. However, the flowermate also looks promising and is intriguing by how simple it is. Should flavor be a concern? I don't really taste too much (much more than smoking tho) with my NO2 so I'm not sure if that's just something I haven't experienced due to the quality of the unit or if I am just not sensitive to taste.

I can get the Lotus kit for $110 and the FlowerMate V5.0S for $85

Any advice would be awesome! Thank you

My opinion on reliability: The battery in your V5s will deteriorate after 2 years of use and that kind of handicaps the portability and performance of the unit. Portability because you would need to find an outlet. Performance: not getting as many sessions as you once did. With the Lotus, the performance is always there. Torch powered vapes will always be more reliable than electric. Furthermore, I would be scared for the V5s if I dropped it. Not the case for the Lotus. For me, durability is a big plus.

I think the Lotus would be a great compliment to your NO2. It's like having a manual and an automatic car at your disposal, as opposed to 2 autos. Manual can be inconvenient or fun, depends on the person. I think the Lotus is fun to use. Plus, awesome flavor.

For me it would depend on convenience/ease of use, so the FM suits me, and especially at almost half the price- under $60.

That's a guess, since it's a new model. I've got a DaVinci that's still using the original batteries after almost 3 years, and since the FM lasts longer on a full charge than the DV ever did, the batteries may well have a longer lifespan as well.

I want the temperature control options of the V5s if I went with the FM. Batteries can be a little bothersome, as I've learned with the NO2, which is why I was exploring flame powered options like the Lotus in the first place. I guess the main thing I'm looking for is better vapor quality than the NO2.

The Lotus is great! IMO you won't be disappointed.. It has great flavor, great vapor production, and is completely under your control as far as temp goes.. It's a convection vape and can be used on demand so it won't cook off your load w/o you... I've never used a FM BTW, I probably never will either.. The price is right though.

Just to be clear, there are only 2 FM 5 models- the V (single temp) and the V5.0. The S on the end of the V5.0S just means it has a silicone mouthpiece, vs. glass.

Thank you I didn't know that, I guess I am looking at the V5.0 with the three temperature options

The Lotus is an amazing device, but IMO it's best when you use the WPA through a cheap Chinese bubbler. I never use it as a portable per se, but at home I use it all the time

That's not true. The 5.0S introduced the glass mouthpiece and only ever came with a glass mouthpiece it's also now standard on the V. Fixed or Variable temp is the only difference now.
