@CentiZen did you not see the air tubes? You don't need to use the full length solo tubes. Not sure what the mouthpiece is made from though and I assume the unit includes 2 of those. Looks like plastic.

Max temp is 210c. Isn't that what solo max temp is? Am I missing something?
Man, I need to work on that reading comprehension thinger. VAS kicked in and all I cared about was getting on the train early. Those look great!

I'm unable to find many details, does anyone know how big it really is?

If you go to http://arizer.com/store/ and then press the right arrow on the cycling banner three times, they have a picture that looks like a pretty good scale of how the air compares to Solo and Extreme. The official measurements are 122mm length by 29mm diameter

Lol I think a lot of us are extremely giddy with excitement. All the info we have is right on their website. They did do the price drop quickly though as I saw the original and it changed fast.

@OF it's on the product page.

Thanks. I'd somehow missed it. Twice.

So it's about 2/3 the diameter (basically the size of the Solo oven OD) and a bit longer in the body. The stem seems shorter of course.

Interesting they went back to a ceramic bowl???? Although I guess the actual heater in Solo is ceramic, but the bowl in Solo is no longer ceramic......hopefully that won't lead to a repeat of the chipping issue?

Thanks again.

If it performs as well as the Solo, $199 is a great introductory price! They won't be able to keep them in stock.

So does this sale end on Friday? Not familiar with Black Friday sales.

I think it's cool that they include a skin and case!

So the only way to charge a spare battery is IN the actual Air?

@OF maybe I missed. Where does it say ceramic BOWL? Heater yeah but bowl too?

I can't wait to see videos of this thing in action, it looks so awesome! As a solo owner, it is hands down my favorite vaporizer I had ever used. Unfortunately my solo's battery lasts one session at most, so its basically my desktop unit since I have the power adapter. The air seems like a more portable solo.... I'm sold!

Jumping on the "Psyched Train" for this as well.
Like @exit and @CentiZen, I have faith in Arizer. I don't feel the need to wait for reviews. The Extreme Q was my first desktop and served me well, and to me the Solo is(as I've said ad nauseam)pound for pound the best vape around.
Like @u blade wunner, I've been looking at the Crafty(or Mighty, still undecided), but this may have just cut the line.

Wish they had/hope they will make PVHES Tubro stems the standard for this!

@OF Here's a (very)rough size chart.

You probably charge the battery while in the unit. Once charged up you could take out and charge up another one. That is how the No. 2 worked. I'm just guessing. Has anybody heard when Puffitup will be selling them?

I only see 2 LED lights on this device. Is it possible the air has colored LEDs in it to indicate temperature?

From the specs on Arizer.com, that does seem to be the case.

Level 1 (Blue) - 170°C / 338°F
Level 2 (White) - 180°C / 356°F
Level 3 (Green) - 190°C / 374°F
Level 4 (Orange) - 200°C / 393°F
Level 5 (Red) - 210°C / 410°F

This is a problem for colour-blind users and makes me re-think my reply to @dr demise earlier in the thread. He was unhappy about the lack of an LCD display and I didn't see what the benefit would be. Now I do.

Edit: I type too slowly. Temperature list removed.

Are they the standard 18650 batts . used ?

They seem to indicate not so: "High power, high quality, long-life Li-ion batteries, made specifically for use with the Arizer Air."

It looks like a 18650, but could also be say 17670. Not that some makers might use an odd size to lock you into buying from them, but some makers might use an odd size to lock you into buying from them.

charger included. importantly, battery is protected or not?

That's not how I read it, I think they're talking the same sort of charger included with Solo, not a stand alone unit like with say Cera or Delta 9 (or whatever the current name is) products. My guess is you'd need an aftermarket charger if you don't want to charge in your unit?

The protected thing is an excellent question, IMO. I can see advantages 'both ways'.

Time will tell.

I wonder how long until PIU and PV have them in stock......and were their price will 'settle out'.

Fun stuff. I'm still wondering if the stems interchange with Solo?

As a color blind guy, I fully agree here. I, like most color blind guys (and it's almost zero women.....) I have red/green issues. Meaning step 3 and 5 will appear the same.

This is a serious handicap for some (many are more extreme than I am), IMO almost insulting. It's not at all uncommon, there are about the same number of left handed men as red/green color blind ones (8 to 10% of the general population), how many left handed men do you know?

This is not a secret, competent engineering and marketing types should have considered it (although they may have simply written us off?).

It's clear to me that none of them work for Arizer, nor IMO to they really pay attention to this part of the market. Very disappointing, really. Not at all 'user friendly' but it does have bling.

Time will tell.

If you have the older non pass through Solo you should get a battery from @CentiZen get either one.
I have the standard replacement one and can run my older Solo 4 full sessions with no light showing. Definitely worth the price.

I called them 18650s because I thought I'd read that on the Arizer page, but now I can't find it. It could have been my imagination. They could indeed be non-standard and that would explain why the claim that the batteries are exclusive.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a post to edit.
