This is a quick look at the lock on silicone from the heating chamber. The one to the left was the one that came with the unit about 7 months ago, and the right one was never used. I obviously never changed it in that time. I would not say it saw heavy use but it definitely seen regular use. I never noticed any change in flavor or performance, but not too sure why it turned brown. I think the rough edge is from a few over heats in that time, I didn’t notice any silicone on the metal washer though. Didn’t hurt anything that I could notice but just as a precautionary measure I’m gonna check it more often and probably change it before 7 months passes again haha.

Has it started to get brittle? This is the kind of deterioration I saw with the silicone sleeve on the Arizer Tuff Bowl for the EQ. It is an effect of the heat, not resin.

anyone else have success using the hammer as a nail? I heated mine for maybe a minute and it never got red hot. I mean I got vapor from it, but not thick at all. All that happened was now the silicone for the lock on stem is loose and will pull off when taking off the stem sometimes. Well it happens when the metal is heated, but only heated enough for dry herbs.

Can you combust? You may have to try looking inside the heat port at different angles. Only the flat plate in the center gets red.

Is your dial at 75% or above?

I definitely probably could combust, I just don't want to risk/ get close because the stem will taste bad after. Yeah it's all the way up, I guess I just have to heat it longer.

For oil it needs to be at combustion temps, or you can look inside your hammer. The stem shouldn't combust if you're using oil though.

I know mine is definitely heated after 40 seconds but my internal dial has been raised to the highest without sputtering out every time.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Ive been considering the indiegogo deal now for some time. @Head Tools any word on when they might be shipped out?

As I recall the he said they'd be in our hands before Christmas. The campaign ends in less than a week I believe so I'd guess he'll be sending them out not too long after that.

So it says on the Indiegogo page that production of the Hammer Pro's will begin when all of the early birds are sold.

What happens if all 50 of the early birds aren't sold? We are only at 22 out of 50.

How does the hammer compare to the vapman as far efficiency? Im in need of a vape that can perform with small amounts of material and can be used with ease while driving, and this seems like it may just be the one I am looking for. For those of you with The Hammer, does it fulfill my criteria?
