The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

That post is so valuable in so many ways, not only the information in it, but it can be used by the Mods in the guidelines about posting as an example how not to post.

Edit: BTW, when I read it, it was on my phone, so it looked narrower/better.
And in the time taken to write it, the wall of text post could have been fixed :haw:

ok, you convinced me, will order a mighty tomorrow......

I like the crafty a bit more cause of its smaller size, but I can't get around that battery limitation....
...and I will definitely not carry another device like a USB power bank or so with me...!

I hate to charge so soon, and I think a device that demands so much juice will not hold the battery for long.
bought a solo last march and the battery life has already shorten a lot, that with 1-2 bowls per day.....and it has 2 batteries.

just my :2c:

tdriver,
Hey how many degrees Fahrenheit should my mighty be dropping? When I take a long hit mine drops 10 to 20 degrees I was wondering if that's uncommon?

Well I just took the plunge and ordered my Mighty! Hopefully it satisfies my VAS for the time being. Thanks for all the info everyone! Also all the shipping was free even next day air, does that sound correct and will it really be here tomorrow?

Got the Mighty yesterday. my first impression upon picking it up was "that is a lot of plastic", I was feeling it felt cheap and I would break this thing fast. So while it charged I took apart the cooling chamber and was sure it was going to break but it didn't, actually I was noticing how well it was made.

I have vaped many bowls of flower as well as some concentrate on the pad. I don't vape flower much so I am so I am on a learning curve but I have vaped more flower in 24hrs then I have in the last month and want more. Oil pads scare me, they always leak and leave a mess behind for me but I had to try. First I put a dab on a base of flower and made for a tasty herb/oil session of 15 hits or so. I got high and brave and went for the oil pad, there is that pure flavor. I was putting very small dabs on and get 5 nice hits before the flavor goes bad. I did many dabs through the night, this morning the pad was stuck in the mighty, heated the unit up and the pad popped out, the residue of oil left on the bowl wiped out easily while warm with a paper towel, looked brand new.

Back to the grind of testing the Mighty.

How do you remove the bottom screen? I don't see it in the manual.

someone pulled it out with a tool and replaced it . (in the crafty thread)
he said it's easy to do so but leaves some scratches from the screen in the chamber....

I think it depends on how quickly you draw. Faster, consistent draw will drop it quicker and farther than a slow, steady draw.

Directly from S&B, or Vapornation, there are a lot of other distributors stocking them now, just google it.

I went to vapornation. Out of stock. I guess I will have to go direct. I was just hoping that someone local would have one.

EDIT:Apparently they(s&b) ship from within the US as well.

Yeah, next day delivery.

Awesome.. Now I go insane waiting.. :freak:

Still wavering between the Crafty and the Mighty.

What are the reasons you choose the Mighty over the Crafty?

Battery life is obvious, but not sure it makes that much of difference if I'm never far from an electrical outlet or have the optional power pack.

What are the thoughts on advantage of on board temperature controls?

I chose the mighty because I figured I wont ALWAYS have my smart phone around me when I am using it. So if I wanted to change the temp with the Crafty.. Id be out of luck.. that is my MAIN reason I chose the Mighty. Also the extra juice is nice as well. Also the abilty to use it while plugged in without waiting.. another good feature.

After an extended session with both units, I have also just ordered the Mighty.

I was really expecting to like the Crafty a lot more. However, the size advantage is not THAT massive and, although I love my Samsung S5, I actually found it a real pain having to open the app each time to adjust the temp.

This, combined with the added battery life and slightly longer (i.e. cooler) vapor path of the Mighty, made me go for that unit in the end.

I should also point out that the flavor and density of the vapor produced by these units is VERY good. I was genuinely shocked by this. Not only it is much better than I had expected (based on the amount of plastic in the vapor path), it is almost as tasty as my Aromed 4.0. I never would have considered that possible!

Wow. I have an Aromed. That is a statement I cannot wait to verify. Awesome. I never got to try the unit so its nice to hear these things.

How does this vape smell when packed and kept in a backpack or jacket picket or something (Not turned on)?

I'm just assuming but it can't be that bad. Notice the o-rings for an air tight seal. I would think the only aroma would come out the mp. Is the air path cut off when the mp is in the closed position? If so I assume that the smell would be virtually non-existent.

Regarding smell, although I don't own a Mighty or Crafty yet(still can't decide), I put all of my portables into snack sized zip-locks within their respective cases. Most fit into the wide ego type cases which I imagine the Crafty will fit into, but the vape in the zip can go right into a pocket or purse.
For the Mighty, I would use a sandwich sized zip. Anybody find a good carry case for the Mighty yet?

I was 8 or 9 when zip-locks started hitting supermarkets, but these "Baggies" from the future were more expensive, so many families like my own, didn't buy them.
Now that we've arrived in the future, they are everywhere, even those big freezer sized ones.
So many great uses, just don't use them for your meds. That's what jars are for.

Oh, my god guys. I've just unpacked mine and tried it and I seriously have had ever never before such a great smooth strong buzz...wow. Wow. Just...

And then, the glass pipe shatter echoed throughout the history. The past was long gone, the future became the present and our hopeful wings flew our hearts' dreams towards the place of heaven, the future, again.

Ups is bullshit!!! Next day my ass I'll prob see my mighty on Monday at this rate, but maybe friday if I'm lucky. They "missed" my package at the pickup. Just in time to make me wait 2 extra days cuz of this dumbass holiday. I informed S&B to get their money back if they paid for next day because that's turned into 3 days. Y can't things ever go as planned. Murphy's Law nd all.

I use an otter box pursuit 40 for my mighty. It fits perfect and doesn't move around at all but you can't fit much else in there. I'll post a picture of it once I'm home.

I am really impressed with the Mighty's battery life, 8 slightly compressed bowls and two oil pad sessions and only down 2 bars. Battery life is why I chose the Mighty over the Crafty and I believe I made the correct choice.

Interesting watching the Mighty charge through a Kill A Watt. It pretty much draws 23 watts but spikes up to 30 if the unit is on and the heater kicks in, and when it gets near full charge it tapers the charge down to a trickle charge (7 watts was the last I noted while it was finishing the last bar of charge). I found while plugged in while using it would progress in charge faster then my consumption would drain it, this was another reason I chose the Mighty since it charges at a much higher watt then the Crafty. I have used 6. 18650 panosonic batteries with the Cera and a ecig handle that are over a year old with a ton of use, not draining fully or even below half, not over heating, and not over charging goes a long way for battery longevity (of these types of batts). Good chargers help to keep batteries health as well, seems the Mighty is managing the charge, I expect nothing less, lol.

Can anyone tell me what the Orange bottom of the filling tool is for? I am liking this tool for ground flower but more and more I am throwing nubs in and compressing slightly. The extraction is amazing no matter what I toss in. I have not used the supplied grinder but does it hook up to the filling tool for transfer?
