Any news, anybody? Did the mail come thru? Luv the woody.

I can really give Thanksgiving dinner a real workout, if we get it on time.

Will otherwise have to Solo it. Pax it. Flowermate. PNP. MFLB. Palm. Etc. Ho-hum.

Hello fellow vaping enthusiasts. After a lot of research on portable vaporizers on this great forum, I made the decision to go with the Imag+. To put things into perspective, I own a Volcano and a MFLB. The MFLB is great and I've been using it as a portable with success, but I've been wanting something with more stealth, ease of use, and main stream appeal, that's why I went with the Imag+. Here's my review of this great product:

I've been using the Imag+ for three weeks and so far I am very happy with the product. It arrived in only 3 days from China to Switzerland. Nice packaging.

Upon receiving it, I charged it for 6 hours like instructed and did several burn offs. This was definitely necessary, I could see and smell vapors coming outa the heating chamber. During the first use I could taste something, so it would have been better to do more burn offs and maybe a cleaning. After that, the taste is very pleasant. On the first setting (blue), the vapor is mild and thin, very tasty. Maybe not quiet up there with the volcano in terms of taste, but very close and certainly much better than expected.

Taste:
The first setting is good for a mild vape, perfect for my friends who only occasionally vape or combust herbs. The second setting (green), is what I prefer to use. It produces thick clouds and the taste is good, not quiet as mild as on blue, but I find it to be much more satisfying because it delivers and gets the job done. The third setting (red) is simply too hot, tastes like popcorn and almost produces smoke. Quit honestly, I realize that the Volcano and MFLB are top products, but since receiving the Imag, I've only been using this device, because its so comfortable to use. More on that below...

Using the Imag+:
Using the Imag+ is foolproof. I have used it on my couch, outside walking, outside riding my bicycle through town (no kidding), at a smokers lounge of a bar, at a smokers lounge of a hospital, at a concert, at a trainstation. It always worked perfectly, even while riding a bicycle. Its a little large, but still stealthy enough, because people think its a E-gig (test among some friends and acquaintances). The smell is noticeable while its heating and once you pull, but it does not carry far and is easily concealed by other smells. So really, anywhere, where people are smoking cigarettes, it would be nearly impossible to smell the vape. For loading the chamber, I use their packing tool and I like to give it a tight packing, as I feel that I get more outa the herbs this way. I can get about .2-.3 grams in there. A tight pack will last me at least two cycles. I do 2 cycles on green, and then one on blue. I feel that this gets every last little bit out of my herbs. After this procedure, the chamber is vaped evenly, the herbs look brown (almost like tobacco). This is where the Imag+ beats all other vapes that I have seen. It really is very very efficient and gets the job done consistently. I can vape all day and get the same consistent vape every time. Press the button, pull, that's it.

It does have a major weak spot however, the mouth piece. It does fit snugly onto the chamber, but when carrying it around my pocket, it falls off easily. Also, the mouthpiece gets pretty hot. Another weak spot is the area between the top of the chamber and the mouthpiece. If this part was cone shaped, it would be much easier to get all the herbs into the chamber. Also, the rubber at the top of the chamber seems to get a bit soft or something, it doesn't look smooth anymore, and so flakes of herbs get stuck to it easily. The bigger problem is the screen on the mouthpiece, which gets clogged easily. The picture below shows the rubber on top of the heating chamber and the sticky screen of the mouthpiece

However, the company is improving this feature, I've heard. Its nice to see that a company takes its customers seriously. So bravo for the Imag Team for listening to the reviews here and for responding with a (hopefully) improved mouthpiece. That's it however, other than these two weak spots, I am very very happy with the product. It works easily, evenly, and consistently (so far). It delivers big, satisfying clouds of vapor.

Battery Life:
The battery lasts longer than expected, but I haven't kept track of the amount of cycles one charge can do before dying. When I plan on going somewhere, I charge it completely, that will last me for the whole day. This is one feature to improve on, it would be nice to have some sort of battery-level
indicator, so you can plan the charge according to your needs better.

I think my review has already said this, but I am very satisfied with this product. I have been trying to stop combustion all together for many years with no success. Somehow I always missed the punch of smoke. But now, I have not smoked since getting this product, because this thing delivers satisfyingly thick clouds and truly gets me blasted every time. Hope this helps, and hey, maybe I can get in on the new and improved mouthpiece testers action.

Link420, how is the actual bowl itself? Have you tried using any concentrates by any chance? Maybe that's what the red temperate is for i would imagine.

Also, when you say that the mouth piece gets hot, is this after one session or do you use the device a couple of times.

Yea hopefully the new version's mouthpiece is better at staying cool as well, it would get hot with back to back sessions before.

The old bowl is stainless steel, pretty standard. New one will be ceramic, and I'd imagine that to be pretty standard too. We'll fined out soon enough...

Plastic, yes. And even FlowerMate's silicone sometimes actually. But I think the xmax v2 and T-Vape are a bit better at insulation

Maybe it's just cause I like thicker vapor or maybe there are some temp variances between units but I use the green/red on herb. The stock mouth piece will get pretty warm on red especially if you do two back to back heat cycles without giving the recommended 1 min cool down between heat cycles. I have never found it so hot that I couldn't use it just a bit uncomfortable at times when I tried to push it.

Oils..... I have tried oils with the concentrate can and while it works the draw is way too restrictive for me to consider using. Also because the airflow is so low I can say fairly confidently that the red temperature was probably not designed for use with the concentrate canister. I used mine mostly on blue and green.

@Link420 interesting review, thanks!

The MP seems to be the weak link in the few portables pens I have experienced, the bloody things keep falling off!

& were it slimmed down a bit to actual pen size, perhaps with a deeper cache, even the most fashionable would look, well, fashionable! Not like a C-gar totin moll, or some headbanger.

What are the differences between the + version, and the Plus version?

BTW! That is some awesome headgear, would scare even the Mo Hammit

How did they come up with the name, I wonder. Are there roots to its origin.

Oh-oh, double posted. again.

Imag Plus = Imag+

RelaxoTech are also developing Imag Pen and Imag2 in addition to the new Plus...

Imag Plus = Imag+

Identically? Why change something that isn't broken in mid-stream....

Marketing strategy seem a bit confusing IMHO, but glad the design is vaporization, and not bare combustion.

(On a side note, I put a honeycomb glass "screen" above the heating coil to prevent combustion, and small Cubic Zirconia (CZ) pieces for heat enhancement/retention, then a small metal screen on which I put "Herbie" on my Atmos Raw & Junior. & we are good 2Go)

Why "Imag"? I am interested in word origins. Imag-ine? Imag-e? icur-rious.

Lexus. Infiniti. Where do they get the names.

My understanding is that the new version has an improved mouthpiece and chamber. The manufacturer wants to really get this vape right imo. I also think they are thinking big, very big.

The actual bowl seems fine. I clean it with the brush after every session and think that the flavor gets worse if you don't clean the bowl regularly. Might be that I'm just imagining that last part ;) I have not used any concentrates, they're not common around here. Even if they were, I prefer herb, that's why I went with this product. The MP does not get hot after just one session and on blue its really not a problem. On green it does get pretty warm after the second session (without cooldown), but not so hot as to be uncomfortable.

I agree, lets hope that they buff out the few weak spots.

Anything is possible, but I think that the consistency of the herb makes a difference. If I have somewhat leafy, and finely ground herbs, the blue setting totally gets the job done. If its a dense flower, even after grinding, I need the green setting to get the job done properly. I just don't like the red setting, because i don't like the flavor of the vapor that it produces. Do you finely grind your herbs? Are they completely dry? I think that those two factors would make a difference also.

The MP fits snug and sturdy, but once in my pocket and on the move, it does fall off regularly. But really it could be much much worse. The Pinnacle Pro's MP for intance, falls off much more easily. I was at a Machine Head concert last Friday, right in the middle of the mash pit for a good part of it, with the Imag+ in my jeans pocket. The MP stayed on for most of it. So really, it can't be that bad, but could be improved on. That headgear is just a "Buff", its kinda like a multipurpose scarf/face mask thing, mostly used for snowboarding.

I've been on the fence about my next portable vape. Just sold my davinci ascent, just couldn't get good clouds out of the dang thing. I came across this pen but rebranded by cloud and way more money. I was about to buy the imag plus tonight and then came across the wulf brand digital vape and it seems similar to this pen but with full temp control. Haven't seen any reviews on it yet.

So I came back to the imag plus, flavor wise and cloud wise, is this a worthy vaporizer? Battery seems legit and the MP falling off is a bit of a concern but at least it'll fall off in my pocket. Any pros and cons would be awesome thank you.

While it may not be aesthetically pleasing, I have clear scotch tape between my PNP and its MP. Saves me gettin bummed out. Lookin for an errent MP on the dance floor can be a hazard.

Perhaps O rings to fashion a snug gasket, tiny but strong magnets like the Pax, or possibly spring loaded bearings with recessed catches. A screw-on MP. Deeper insert. Bayonet mount. A solution is possible.

Or make a shitload of after market 3-D printed MPs, and sell them on FleeBay.
Make some buxs, make the wifey happy.

Presuming the wulf thing youre talking about is like the wulf mods tundra, which is just a rebranded Titan, then the one you're talking about is probably just a Titan II... And thusly not so worthwhile

Also I would absolutely wait for reviews for the new Imag before buying the old one. Why not get the one that's already been improved?

FlowerMate V8 may interest you too as a cheap Ascent replacement.

Anybody else notice that the Imag+ works better outside in cold temperatures? I could swear that bowl lasts way longer when vaped outside.
