Yes, there is a top screen, but I found the top screen difficult to keep clean over time. You can leave the top in: but use the extra screen to keep the load in. I do not experience a decrease in draw at all.

i find that the oil pad serves as an excellent screen, similar to what you did! :D

Hi all!.Quick question to fellow Mighty owners.Does your unit always heat up straight to your chosen temp?,or does it sometimes hang at a degree or so lower for a while?.If I set mine to 185 I find that it hangs on 184 for a bit and then finally hits 185.

First Post figured i had to talk about the mighty
by far this is the best hand held vaporizer i have ever used it actually feels like this vape was designed in the future. Storz and Bickel really outdid themselves on this one i own a volcano and a plenty so im used to there products and this is something i was waiting for and they did not let me down in any way.
The taste alone from a portable is top shelf every time. I was using it last night with the mike tyson og as soon as i took my first few pulls at 370 it really was like i was punched in the face the cerebral high was so profound and intricate it was like a ride i have been on before but have not been on in awhile.
I really could not believe how easy it is to use i can throw in basically just some hand broken nugs and it vapes them perfectly till golden brown (perfect for going to watch interstellar btw no smell given off unlike the pax ascent wispr and theremovape) I have been noticing that i actually prefer with this vape for the kind of sedative high that i enjoy i like to have my friends take the first couple pulls on a fresh packed bowl then when its a little bit golden i take my pulls it still taste amazing and yet i dont get that racy sativa style buzz. We had a combination of a few different strain sessions with it and with the headband the high really just made me wanna get up and take a quick jog kinda hard when theres snow and slush but it would be perfect for early morning gym sessions. Lets talk about battery life design and portability. First off battery life is fucking insane i dont know how long other peoples last for but on a full charge yesterday i was able to use this in over 70 individual sessions with friends and it still had 2 cells remaining its kind of annoying with the auto shut off feature because a few of my friends cant pull on it hard enough for the vape to register use so it turns off. Now its not that big of a deal because u can turn it back on right away and its back to your previous temp in 8 seconds if that, so really a non issue some people who spend over 500 on a vape may find that annoying my words to you would be pull harder it may take some practice but hey theres usually a learning curve with every vape its perfect for people who are used to taking massive bong tokes because are lungs are able to handle long draws no problem blunt smokers i find they dont pull hard enough at all. If your somebody who wants to quit combustion and your a long time bong smoker like i was this would be your perfect vape for handheld unit (vapexhale cloud evo is good but its not portable look out tho they told me they are developing a hand held now just some info i had to share) As for portability i really thought i had to buy both the crafty and mighty due to the fact that from videos it looked like the mighty was to big and from peoples reviews they kinda downed its portability usage but in my experience as soon as i opened the box for the first time i was really surprised how small it was its not super small or anything but its easily something i can fit in my front pocket of my jeans its just a bit heavier then my iphone 4. Im not somebody who likes to advertise in public when im using so if im walking to work i try to walk a little quicker so people dont try and stop and talk to me about whats in my hand most people who do try and stop and talk to me know its a weed vape so there just inquiring about where they can purchase them but downtown is usually pretty busy so people for the most part keep to themselves. For casual patio sessions at bars perfect using in movies perfect i even used at an old age home visiting a friends grandma and nobody could detect a thing. if you live at home with your parents and need a vaporizer that will get you to wear you need to be with no smell its great then again if your parents dont want you smoking you should probably also inform them your not smoking your vapeing lol. The Design itself as i mentioned from the jump if your still reading is beyond beautiful its sleek and elegant it has the kind of weight you would expect it to have being a solid vape. Sometimes some weed bits fall into the front or the back of the vape so i have to take a pokey and just poke them out lol not a issue just had to mention it i guess thats why they give you the filling tool so you can fill it perfect every time but come on storz and bickel were stoners we dont wanna have extra shit to do we wanna pack it and hit it pronto. Best Vape of 2014 And they came out before christmas good job guys i had to snag mine before though when your into vapes like me its a must.

i Have a chip glass klein on the way im going to use with the mighty just connect a hose to the mouthpiece of the mighty with some extra o rings to make sure its tight and a glass on glass vape adapter to the other side its perfect ill let you guys know how that goes im sure im going to get blasted to the moon with some nice thick vapor clouds. Peace out guys fuck combustion

If you want people to read your posts then you will have to start using paragraphs. This is a wall of text that is difficult to get through.

I crunched my top screens, can't get them back in, did not order the tool from storz and bick. But I found a new method.
Step 1: well ground dry flowers
Step 2: fill halfway
Step 3: tamp down with an oil pad ( I cleanly tore one in half so there's two)
Step 3: put on cooling unit ( I don't even have a top screen in cuz I broke em).
I am getting lung busters from 185 c to about 205 c. Maybe 5 or 6 hits. Using a high grade flower.

Ok, I know this is getting off topic, but I can't help but respond.

If you don't care if people want to read it or not, than why post it up in the first place?

I wasn't kidding about using proper paragraphs. We do have guidelines about posting and I suggest you read them.

I have quit posting on this forum because I don't appreciate the moderation and the general culture of the forum. However, for the sake of those who want accurate information and are considering the Mighty, instead of hating on it like some people, I would like to mention the following link:

http://www.storz-bickel.com/shop_us/en/faq/#gruppe-01

p.s. I think that long post above was informative, and I take no issue with the author's punctuation choices.

p.p.s. Good luck FC Forum, I won't be contributing anything to your forum any further, because the way you guys operate simply ain't cool.

You quit posting here—except to come back and express your contempt and break another couple of rules. You're right to leave a culture that you can't abide, though. I return your wishes of good luck and hope you find a forum with a culture that lets you accuse other members of bullshit, argue with the moderators, and doesn't care whether contributions are actually readable. You certainly deserve it.

alright my fault pak ill come correct next time

To be clear, I want you to do this because as others have pointed out, there is value in your post. Thanks for your cooperation.

Just used the mighty for the first time and I absolutely loved it. This is the best purchase I have mad in a while. And others have said that it does not remember that you change the tempature from Celsius to Fahrenheit well mine does so I guess they fixed it.

Why don't you use the edit button to go back and make your post more readable by separating the wall of text into paragraphs? I would like to read it if it were edited to include "carriage returns". I'm sure the content is excellent, but it takes more effort to read a post like this for some of us including myself.

That post is so valuable in so many ways, not only the information in it, but it can be used by the Mods in the guidelines about posting as an example how not to post.

Edit: BTW, when I read it, it was on my phone, so it looked narrower/better.

Still wavering between the Crafty and the Mighty.

What are the reasons you choose the Mighty over the Crafty?

Battery life is obvious, but not sure it makes that much of difference if I'm never far from an electrical outlet or have the optional power pack.

What are the thoughts on advantage of on board temperature controls?

I chose the M over the C just because I liked being able to control temp untethered to my phone. I generally do not vape at hottest temperature initially. I start around 192 C (380 F +/-) and savor the taste a bit. I kind of suckle the mouthpiece as if it were a tobacco pipe: I'm constantly drawing small hits, using my mouth as a bellows. This allow a session to last longer as the Mighty doesn't reach its temp. setpoint. After awhile, I jump up to 210 C (410 F) to finish off. I haven't tried the C.

If you suspect you will not adjust temp alot, go with the C.
