help help! pack solo in checked or carry-on? (clean. worried about lost baggage.) going international.

my worry is that the aromatherapy unit is not seen often and looks like a terrorist device.

If you're worried about lost luggage then put it in your carry-on and just keep the stem separate. It's not likely to raise questions but if it does, you simply say it's an aromatherapy device.

I have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the TSA doesn't care what you bring with you as long as it isn't anything posted. I just returned to/from Montana with my Pinnacle Pro, all seven metal bullets filled in its holder, water bubbler, 4 section metal grinder, misc. toolz and approx half a zipper NCal ODG. All was packed in Ryot Axe case inside the carry-on; NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Not even a glance. Really expected the SS bullets of the PNP to set off alarms....

Just be cool with them. They are human and will reciprocate!

FYI- not all the cops at airports wear TSA patches. It matters where you are. PDX runs pilot programs with DEA. I guarantee you they have a different attitude and "list" of things to look for. The last time I saw them at work it went like this: You have a long, very casual line at screening in a controlled area. Quietly they come in from behind and the sides, observing and cutting off routes of exit. Then from the front comes the dog which everyone sees. It goes down the line, slowly, sniffing each bag. Anyone who leaves line is detained. Its that simple. Things will be tougher around customs and immigration and international areas obviously.

Now up at Sea-Tac it is completely different. So you just have to know where you are at all times if you want to fly dirty. So for me domestic USA, not a problem. International? No way.

So I travel a few times a year on domestic flights in the US .
In the past I have taken a clean new one hitter with me and left it behind .
Now I have a Pax and I am thinking about just cleaning it well and throwing it in my carry on ( I never check anything ) with my old ipod and other electronics . I don't think I will have a problem .

Or do you guys out in FC land think I would be better of with something like and Imag-plus something more e-gig looking .??

I think tossing the Pax in with your electronic gear is a good idea. It should blend right in and not arouse any suspicion. Make sure it's as clean and odor free as you can, and maybe package it in smell-proof plastic to be extra careful

My new portable setup. Just tested for air travel, as well as carry-on capable. Flew out of Detroit into Boston and back this week with 1/2g Skywalker OG Co2 oil loaded into a Galactic OPen cart on top of my Vapor Bros Dabbler. Not one second glance from TSA at the security check point.

I go to the airport all the time to drop hubby off for business trips. (getting ready to drive to the airport now) I never even attempt to bring my Dr. Dabber through airport security because the risk is just too great, IMO. I leave it in the glove compartment of our parked car.

I have now travelled 7 times within Europe with my SOLO in my overhead locker suitcase, and never had a single comment. Last time I flew from Spain to Belgium with my SOLO, my PAX and a Bubbler, the D020, never a single comment! I also had 10 grams of nice bubble hash, but that one was well wrapped and sat between my balls, for extra flavour

By whom?

The consequence is that you're now on record as having been turned back, which probably will come up the next time you try to cross.
canadian border agents. Yea, they didn't charge me with anything. Just said to expect to be searched if I came back.
The us side wasn't aware of anything. It's strictly a Canadian thing.

So did you try? I would think a clean solo should be fine, granted it does look weird, put it with the wife's hairdryer.

I had to go to Germany for 2 weeks for tech training. I brought 4 grms of wax wrapped in a tootsie roll wrapper (mixed with some real tootsie rolls). The other tech I went with uses a E-cig so I bought a small Cali Vap that looks just like it ($40). I carried the candy, his E-cig, my vap and some E cartridges in my carry-on. Our stuff was scanned and they looked inside quick and off we went. I recommend bringing a outlet adapter because they run at 230V instead of 115V but apart from that I had no problems.

My $.02. Last year I (absentmindedly) brought a clearomizer full of Girl Scout Cookies ejuice from SFO to Vancouver in my carry-on with the rest of my ecig stuff. I would think anything in the form factor of an ecig is a good bet and flying from friendly to friendly locale improves your chances. It's probably largely a shit shoot - I knew a girl in college (post 9/11 TSA) who would fly with a ziploc of flowers in her purse. I thought that was crazy but she never got caught.

I don't see any issue with brining them with you to Colorado Malibu but for peace of mind, make sure they are nice & clean. Maybe in a nice ziplock w/ a Bounty sheet in the bag and have it in the middle of your checked bag w/ a few shirts/sweaters around them. I figure vaps can be used for tobacco/herbs so as long as nothing "questionable" is w/ it I don't see a problem. Carry-ons get more direct scrunity so good luck...

I've traveled with wax multiple times, never a vape for flowers though. Haven't had any issues. Traveling into Mexico the last time I flew down I was a bit sketched out... but didn't have any problems.

I recently flew to CO with my vape. I cleaned it well before the trip, had it in a so called 'smell proof' Ryot case & put it with some electronics in my checked bag. No problem.

I mailed it home via USPS (again, cleaned thoroughly) because I carried on some tinctures & didn't want a suspicious piece of paraphernalia to lead to more scrutiny.

I feel like if you're not bothering anybody, it is just one vape, and a little bit of flowers, no one is going to care.

Airport security has other important matters to worry about.
