FYI, Goboof has stated if you use it before a full charge its ok, it won't effect the unit at all.

GotVape. It said it was in stock when I placed the order.

Hopefully it isn't out of stock, I paid extra for 2 day shipping

I emailed them last night they said they won't have units in stock until tuesday =|

Ordering one soon too. I just wish we had more reviews.

I think you want it completely charged the first time at least.

"The Alfa uses a lithium-ion battery, which comes partially charged. To charge, plug the provided power adapter into a wall outlet and connect the DC jack to the vaporizer. No damage will occur to the vaporizer or battery if used prior to a full charge."

Thats from the manual

I still don't believe their Li-ion batteries are different then any others in that they will last through a whole lot more charge cycles if you charge them completely for their first charge. There isn't really any damage per-say if you dont, just a shorter overall lifespan.

Did you notice the A/P mode don't give you all the time a well extacted abv, I suppose the sensor could be dirty and don't detect your hit all the time and don't increase the t° at each draw...., does it makes sense?

Although it's still one of my favorite portable battery powered vaporizer, I'm amazd how it taste good, imo it's where it shines (combined to the stealthier design)!

Where would you rank the taste compared to say a solo

Sorry but I never tried the Solo...but I can compare with the 05, the 05 taste better at low temp and beginning of session but the Alfa is great to don't degrade the taste too quickly (especially using auto modes), after level 5 the 05 taste good only for the 5 first hits and after there is a baked taste (but it's cloudier than the Alfa!).

I hated my 05 but I'm hoping this can be a nice little unit for me.

You say the 05 makes more clouds ?

So I used the alfa last night at a big party and shared it. It's not cloudy at low, but is at medium and high. The one thing I liked about my pinnacle pro is the bullets that I could preload. With the alfa, it's a pretty small chamber so having to refill it when out is a little more work. So I think it's best for 1 or 2 people. But taste wise and stealth wise, it's great.

How have you been packing it? Just pouring it in or also packing it down and adding more

Ha, I thought that was yours.

Btw, I had the alfa in my shorts pocket while playing a little soccer in my backyard, and twice it turned on to low by accident. This is a little flaw in its knob design. At least it has an auto shut off right?

I only had that happen once when I put it in my back pocket, and I think it happened because I had to squeeze it in there and the friction turned the wheel.

Normally a wheel switch should be pretty movement proof, and I haven't had it happen since I've been careful about holding the wheel when inserting in my pocket. I've been carrying it in my front pocket with my keys and so far so good, just be careful when you first put it in your pocket :2c:
