I have to say a few since it's been a year. It's obvious that no other vape company in the world will ever be crowd funded again IMO. I can see this thing coming to light soon, on the other hand I can see 3 kids in school having the brains, initiative, timing, and balls to make a run with indiegogo and the current popularity of the portable vape market. They made 350 g's in a month off of a video and a pic of a pen in a pocket with a hole in the jeans:tup: Fucking brilliant! They keep this community excited with pics of a clip, jar, and a box for a whole year! :clap:Anyhow I spent $250 and was like the 20 something funder. If I get this vape I'm happy! If I don't I'm happy to cause kudos to the overnight millionaires! I'm only pissed I didn't think of it first! :disgust: INH05 tried indigogo after they saw that $ but only raised 14 g's, maybe they should've borrowed the ripped jeans for the photoshoot. I work in Boulder and have nothing but time to see if these guys are even here. Who has a physical address for their shop?? I'm ready to Dick Tracy this shit!

...not sure if raising 350 g's in a month makes 3+ people millionaires, but I am old school and maybe that is "new" math. :)

...if you do gumshoe out where these guys are, make sure to take pic's of the boxes from one of the warehouse windows...I need to see boxes from some more angles...:tup::evil:

The grass hopper stuff has surely soured the vaporizer community on crowd funding but I think thats mostly because a lot(maybe just a loud minority) of people didnt quite understand the risks of crowd funding. Some how the evoke raked in over 200 grand though and they seemed a lot further away from a finished product than grass hopper did at least in my opinion.

...we all know what happens when we "assume" something...like assuming that the 'Hopper would be out the door in less than a year...or assuming that these guys all had 800g's plus in their portfolios before begging for more cash.

The issue is you have university students who know how to engineer a product, but they have no clue on how to mass produce, market or even sell the product.

They need another team to help them out with the producing part, because they are slacking big time.

I thought one of them was pretty older? No? Not that I am complaining.

Grasshopping is pretty much like a religion: some have faith, don't need to see it to believe it's real and just go by the holy box, some are more pragmatic and need true signs of its existence.
I personally can't prove wrong any of these two points of view so I'll respect them both and won't give two damn fucks anymore. :D

wait i though the release was for jan/feb of next year. I mean that is what they said, like I said before I expect end of 2015 release and I do expect this to come out.. why on earth would they keep us on the hook like this? if it was fake they would have taken the money and ran

Didn't they have an existing company or was that website bullshit? Making drones? Wouldn't that require producing a product if real?

That's what I recall as well. A serious 'we know what we're up to and how to deliver high tech products' sort of claim?

I definitely was not under the impression they were green students with fresh degrees and no 'real world' experience.

Different product and I think they were working with businesses and government with those, different ball game and I am sure those took a while to finalize also.

I disagree, the bulk of the issues (design, test, evaluation, documentation, sourcing, DMI (Detailed Manufacturing Instructions), inventory, facility, payroll, licenses and so on are the same no matter who the customer is. If you can design/produce/deliver/support a product for the military this market should be 'falling down easy'. At least it has been for the new product developments I've been involved in. Generally the processes are the same but the bar is lower for commercial products.

That's not saying they were never there, of course, but it's entirely possible they were not in positions of authority/responsibility. The guy bolting bumpers on new cars no doubt has some firmly held opinions of how cars should be designed and made, but I'm not sure I'd count on him to run an electric car startup like Tesla?

I agree, they should have learned the universal lesson of time lines. They should have known better, raising the prospect they did?

FWIW, I think a single working prototype in the hands of an objective reviewer would be most welcome and clear a lot of smoke....... Making even a fraction of their claims would make it "a different ball game" IMO.

What possible reason would they have to give a prototype to a reviewer at this stage?
I've been asking that same thing for months now, every time that comes up here.
They don't need to convince anybody- the time for that was while they were funding it, and will be again in the future when they are actually on sale to everyone else, by which time their will be loads of reviews.

Making the vaporizer is going to be the easy part. Considering this magic NASA battery has never been seen before that's the real part of this in question. I hope I eat my words but I have no faith in fairy tales. At first I was upset about not having the money to join the campaign. Now after thinking about it for a year or how ever long it's been I'm happy. I've had to tell the bad news to many friends when they show up with a new toy vape pens are for oil.

I AM still upset i missed out on the campaign. Like any new vape (or electronic product) I doubt it will be perfect, and something like battery is obviously always going to be exaggerated to the high end, but with repaceables the battery could last 30min and I'd still be pretty satisfied if it otherwise worked like a T1 with temp control and better insulation (that one is my only real concern actually, but I think its possible). If anybody wanted to add me to their order I'd be super thrilled, but I guess I have to wait for retail or secondhand... Weren't they going to open up preorders for everyone when they got close?
