...We often hear in these forums people talking about how various vaporizers have a "learning curve" that must be mastered in order to achieve proper performance. The E-Nano proves that the learning curve myth is nothing but a shallow excuse for poor product design that puts the blame on the paying customer instead of the designer.

Being able to use it well as soon as it arrives is just another great thing about the nano. It truly is simple and effective. But, once you get a handle on it you can enhance your vaping sessions with some simple tweaks. There is info way back in the thread on much of this, and I'm trying to work up a consolidated FAQ for some of these and other things nano.

In the meantime.... You may want to try adjusting your heat up or down a little, or moving your screen just a touch in one direction or the other. The dial is pretty sensitive (small movements give small changes in heat) and nudging the screen will alter vaping temps also. Wish there was a simple way to state it for all, but there are just too many variables in the mix. So playing with your own a little bit is probably the best way to see just what it can do. Finding your sweet spot and hitting it just right for your particular circumstances can produce some amazing results! Keep in mind that things like quality, fineness of grind and dryness of meds, type of bubbler used (if any), speed of your draw and other factors effect it in small ways too. Don't think anyone else has mentioned it in quite some time, so guess it's up to me... check out Caligula's two hit method on youtube for a good starting point. nano two hit extraction . He has some other great vids on there, too.

Don't get me wrong. Just using your nano however is easiest or most convenient for you is great! It will produce some of the best vapor available and get you there in no time with the smallest amounts of material. But, I still play with mine pretty frequently to get what I call those "Bingo!" hits that blow me away in flavor and effect. Getting a few of these on a night when I'm feeling a little playful is what really makes the nano shine in my eyes, and makes me know whatever other vape I may pick up out of curiosity - the nano will always have a very special place in my vaping arsenal and in my heart.

I have to clean mine every week @Tweak, but I suppose it depends on how much you use it. I also got a clip removal tool from Ed that helps me remove the c-clip and screen.Remove the screen and soak in iso along with the c-clip, and i like @Snappos suggestion of using a pipe cleaner and soaking in everclear or diff type drinking alcohol to clean inside of tube. I also use Ed's bombass butter to treat the outside of stem and nano. Its not to hard to do. I love this stem!
if i was to order a new one, (I have 3)... Id like to try a taller and wider one.

I love my 18mm wongs that I also enjoy as dry stems - no heat at all! They compliment the looks of the E-Nano so perfectly ....and with ultimate class! The E-Nano wears them so well!!!

Didn't realize it could get any better, but I guess that makes sense. There are a lot of variables, and then there's not. Love that it works amazingly well right out of the box. I have seen Calligula's two hit extraction, but I have to be honest (remember I new here :), what is the point. I know it sounds dumb but is it that most of us would take several hits to clear the bowl? :)

Your idea for a "best of E-Nano" compilation would be so valuable. I spent two weeks reading this thread before ever commenting or ordering mine. And I know there is so good info I have missed. Is it possible to sort a thread by the most liked posts? That might be a good start for identifying the gold hidden in thousands of posts.

And now it turns out that a substitute mail carrier really might have lost my Koa E-Nano. My regular femailman is awesome and she's on the case, so I'm still hopeful but irritated.

Yeah, the mods have been trying to find a good way to highlight 'best of' posts from every big thread. But there's no easy solution that works with this forum software. (There's a thread in the community discussion section about it).

I just realized I've been using the same screen in my Kraken GonG since I received it on October 20th! It's seen MANY sessions of use since then, and I haven't need to do an ISO clean or Torch yet.

What's my trick? Simple - I crank my Nano up to 10, let it heat up or a few minutes, toss it on the GonG, let it heat-soak for 30 seconds, then I give it a long rip! I usually get a nice cloud on the first pull. Immediately I remove the GonG from my bubbler, and then blow HARD through the other end of the piece to loosen the debris. Usually I repeat the process a few times, sometimes pulling hard, sometimes pulling slow.

GREAT idea...

I know because last night (my second session with my e-nano) I was not getting big clouds. I thought maybe I was packing too much herb. Anyway it finally dawned on me to check the temp dial, and sure enough it was down to 5.5. After raising it up to 7 it was happy time. Needless to say your tip showed up at a good time.

Caligula just has sickeningly big lungs. My 2 hit is much less material or turns into 3 or 4. No worries on that part, the important thing is to keep heat a little lower with a small load as close as you can get without touching the heater element. If you find it hard to load that little, just stir every 2 hits. But, keep in mind that the flavor and best effects will be in those first 2.

Yeah... the rubber band trick works well. My original dial was much more easy to bump out of place and used to do this. Don't seem to need it as much on my current dial, and never use a rubber band anymore. Just habitually check every so often. Is rare that it moves. Maybe I'm just used to being careful with it?

Like @max just said.... lower heat is some awesome taste and it also gives a very heady buzz. Couple ways you can use this to your advantage for maximum pleasure. Know it sounds like a pain in the ass, but this is very worthwhile.... Do a few small loads with lower heat (5.5 - 5.75 for me). When flavor starting to go, dump it out into something you can leave it covered in for a few hours. I use a very small bowl and cover with a card or something (small jar works well, too). Enjoy a few loads with awesome taste and a light, heady buzz. Later on that day/night, add a bit of fresh material to your used dish. Mix it up and turn the heat up (6.75 - 7 for me). Adding the fresh is to give you a bit of flavor and add back some thc in the mix. I kind of do this to conserve, but more for the amazing light buzz and flavor on the early run, and not wanting to dump hardly used abv into the abv tin for cooking later.

You can kind of get the same affect by turning your heat up as you do the load. Problem with this is that you really don't get to enjoy the light heady buzz. YMMV, but I find it takes 10 - 15 minutes for my buzz to really settle in. So, when boosting the heat on a load (or 3 ;)), you get the sweet taste on the first few hits, but never get to experience the light buzz I'm talking about.

Actually am playing this little game today, as I often do on weekends or days off. Have a bunch of crap I'm trying to get done and don't want to be totally stoned. Enjoying the hell out of my nano just the same! Tonight will be heading out with some friends to catch a band, so will mix my lightly used abv about 1/2 & 1/2 with some freshly ground and using it in the solo (on setting 5) between sets. Not that I'm trying to cheat my friends or myself later, but the difference with using the mix in the solo will be minimal.

Guess my point is that you can just rip away with the nano and use it like you would pretty much any other vape. It is great for that, and will always give a pleasant vaping experience. But, use your imagination and play with her a little and she will reward you for your efforts. nano! nano! :science:

Oh shit - almost forgot... one other quick tip from the archives I wanted to share before I forget again. If you find it a pain in the ass to use two hands with your nano and bubbler (to remove when you clear it), and don't have the $ or patience to get a carbed GonG, try this trick. Roll the silicone down over itself about 1/3 to create a ledge (pic below). When pulling the nano off the bubbler, let your pinky drop and catch that ledge. This will allow you to pull the nano and GonG attachment off with one hand while holding your bubbler in the other. Sounds harder than it is, and after a few sessions it will become second nature.

Just got a nano the other day when coming home. JUST after ascent stops charging. Lol.

Well any way, mail was late. .. some one forgot to drop it off on way through according to tracking. Lol bumber.

Any way it's amazing! Can't wait to get a custom Hi tops and vk. :)

You guys going up to 10 are crazy! 7.5 to 8 seems get it a lil closer to black then i might care to continue on to....

First time use, sure couldn't BELIEVE just how LITTLE it actually needed.

The next couple of bowls just REFUSED to believe that it yes it really did only need THAT little and stubbornly over filed both (yes both) bowls.

.... The next day, utilizing the small pinch or nug tampped down a lil bit.... magic happens. A lot of magic! Huge ninja hiding cloud magic! At 6.?<.5

Kept losing the key chain tool! Ha!

I attached mine to an old boy scout knife. I was losing mine too much. I've now had to make a little basket to hold all the E-Nano gear in one place.

Oil Painter
I'm dancing this wonderful morning with "Nano dabs"... I'm using a SS substrate with my JHook.

I have three.. okay, four... ways to dab oil

For fast, right in the middle of my head relief, I use the Health Stone or a regular torch rig
For amazing terpene, clear taste, and quick uplift, I use the EVO
For the same amount of oil to last me all morning, draw after draw after draw, with the same lovely flavor the whole way through, nothing beats the Nano. Nothing.
