So I received my A/C Swiss perc, works great! I like it a lot through a Sherlock pipe, the roor it produces is really satisfying, Harley style :rockon:

BUT it has weird black marks on the inside welds.

I wrote to the seller and that is his answer:

That is the charcoal when blowning. Really sorry for that.That is no harm.Do not worry about it.
Anyhow,if you do not like it,we will ship new replacement to you.

What you guys think of it???

Have you heard of that kind of things?

Damn, just read your post @blankrider, never spotted the drips on that piece, I'm really not keen either on that kind of art work on my pieces, sorry @Dangus but I might have to take one of the K's out, in any case two KK's do fit better with that double recycler :p

I was waiting till tomorrow to order it (as I often do as at night I find myself a little too loose with ze cash) But still itching about ordering it though...:evil:

Yea, I hear ya @oli & @blankrider - the drips aren't preferred...but figured I'm willing to compromise...

Asked Kathy to sub a 14 to 18 adapter instead of the bowls etc...I'd like to pair the lsv with it...

I'd think the angle of the joint makes dabbing a bit of a pain...at least I found the angle of the fab egg had this issue(for me at least)...but my clumsy ass knocked over the fab egg anyways...so not so much of an issue now that is broken... :\

@Dangus Yeah but for the dough, $46 for a double recycler, that's what dreams are made of, anyway time for me to sign off, but for sure that piece will be on my mind as I tried to get off to sleep...good night nice community :wave:

Is that an 18mm joint? I thought they came with 14. This has to be my next order I've been wanting the egg ever since @blankrider got the 1st one.

I ended up scoring two GB-186-1's from luka for $100.58 shipped. Yingmin gave me two 187's for $88 shipped as well. I just messaged him asking to confirm a few things and inquired about a discount for multiple purchases. He said he'd discount 5% and honored it so if any of you guys are ordering multiple pieces it's definitely worth inquiring about.

I'm planning on using SG to rid my 187 of it's label as well. I've heard it works well, so I'm going to give it a go whenever I can remember to pick up some Simple Green from the store. Does it need to be full strength or can it be diluted?

Get the concentrate. Think they sell both "ready to go" and concentrate form. Needless to say the concentrate is MUCH stronger. Very good for cleaning grunge on those pieces you don't clean enough or with hard to reach spots (even combusted grunge). I just fill as much as possible with concentrated SG, let it sit for a day or two, reclaim the SG and rinse till no bubbles (about forever!) before cleaning with alcohol and good rinse. Yes... reclaim the SG. I use it 10 or 12 times before dumping it. Whole gallon was like $10, and it's good for cleaning all kinds of crud around the house, car, etc.

Yeah @oli ... that is just from real sloppy production. Any impurities you add to the glass while working it either burn off or get really charred. I did the same to a mouthpiece I opened up on a D020-W. Had used an awl as a tool that had some crud on it. Had cleaned it well with alcohol first but must have missed a bit. Hardest part on that one was getting all the crud off the glass while hot. Probably won't hurt anything if it is imbedded in the glass (looks like it is), but I sure as hell would be asking for that replacement!

I diluted mine the first soak, not much though. It didn't remove all of the logo in 24 hours. Stuff is cheap, a bottle of Spray-able Mean Green (same active ingredient) is only $2. So much easier to clean my glass using a spray rather than pouring like with ISO.

That's why you get fake tracking numbers. Since the double recycler is brand new from Kathy I wouldn't be surprised if you get a fake number or it will be missing from your order.

It does, may need a little bit of experimenten with water levels to get a really strong vortex though. Function and quality of the glass is pretty good, depending on your location there might be way better deals around though. I'd rather talk to somebody like Distilled Glass first if you plan on spending that kind of money.

if the usable joint is 14mm than its all in the downstem. Just get a double 18mm downstem and its 18mm

should have been started/opened a while back as it seems that finally, the Chinese 'Recycler' machine has gone into Turbogear and is pouring out more goodies every other day/week...I'm not complaining:rockon:...but my wife is :cuss:, but I keep on telling her that all those goodies keep me good :nod:...well good and a half :brow:

Is Kathy more trusted now? Im interested in the fab egg, and would the ti nail be usable? Heard things about china nails. Anyway if not Id love suggestions on a cheap first time shatter setup. I have a BTOC Double barrel and a d020-w. I think im looking for less diffusion but similar or more volume of water and a long neck. Make sense? Should I just get a good quartz castle instead of china ti? Thanks for reading this.
