I mostly pack my Crafty lightly and rarely more than half full. Last night though I really jammed as much as I could in there before going to bed. I guess it was about .3 but I didn't weigh it. Damn it just kept going and going. That was with some Blueberry Diesel and the taste was great as were the effects :)

Sorry to hear that @gosaints420 , I have 3 hours on mines already and I tax the unit a lot when I use it for 20-25 minute sessions. Do you think we have anything to worry about? What kind of usage are you putting on it. Have you tried the factory reset on the unit?

I second 3 settings. With that this would be the perfect vape! To be able to get that range without touching your smartphone would be great

As far as I can remember this is only the second reported failure out of hundreds of Craftys sold. I would consider that pretty good compared to most other vapes especially when they are brand new.

18 hr in 21 days my sessions are mostly around 10 min.

I can't reset it because it won't turn on.

I chalk it up to "shit happens" I don't think doing anything differently would have changed the outcome. With electronics there will always be a failure rate I just happened to be the unlucky one.

There customer service replied to my email in less than 30 min.

One thing I can say about their Oakland location, it's a skanky neighborhood that's been upscaling over the last decade, adding condos and demolishing old not-quite-victorians. There are fewer drive-by shootings there, it's no longer fashionable. You can google earth and check out the neighborhood and their "office".

That's a very positive attitude!

I find that I only get like 6 big draws off a bowl at max temp ... Does that sound right?

Also, when you guys draw off the mighty, if you draw hard, you can hear lots of air coming through?

I'm trying to choose between the Firefly and the Crafty. As I've read, neither is pure convection. With that being the case, is there any reason to spend 140 more on the Crafty?

I don't know if there is such a thing as "pure convection", but it seems that the FireFly has less conduction going on than the Crafty.

I own both the FF and the Crafty (and the Pax) and after the Crafty I am planning on selling the FF. It's true that it doesn't take as long to heat up but the flavor with the Crafty is unbelievably superior. The abv is far more even and well extracted. The cleanliness of the Crafty makes the FF look like a hobo. The Crafty is truly portable whereas the FF not so much. Precise temperature control over coaxing the device like a musical instrument equals perfect draws every-time. And contrary to an earlier posters observation-I prefer to know the battery status to know when to charge over carrying extra batteries to swap out when the device just ups and dies without warning. To me that is one of my bigger grievances with the FF. Nothing like cleaning it up, packing a sweet fragrant bowl, walk outside, press the button for 10 seconds and then press it again for the light to go red and thus dead. IT's highly anti-climatic. True blue balls.

Great Scott!
And this information came from where?

I'm assuming he means out of people here posting about their experiences on FC. I believe I was the lucky winner with my failure at 6 hours the first time I used it while charging it lol. My new one has definitely over 6 hours, but I can't be sure how many until I see a friend with a 4.4.4 or older phone. App does not work at all on 5.0 :( Never finds the crafty. Same crafty will pair on the older OS's

I have what is probably a fairly dumb question: Do you vape until no vapor is produced? If so I am wondering does any vapor equal medicine? Or is there a point where all the cannabinoids are extracted but vapor is still produced and worthy of continuing. I usually ditch the chamber when the flavor tastes somewhat roasted and wondered if I am wasting good medicine by not vaping until no vapor is produced?

Dark, he said.......

To me, that statement has nothing to do with FC unless he's assuming that EVERYONE that bought a Crafty will report failures here at FC, which is ludicrous to say the least.

Anyone know of any discounts? Or think they will have any holiday discount codes? 400 just seems too steep for me rn.

Hey guys, me again. I've finally accumulated enough to fund my Crafty!! I'm about to order off the Storz & Bickel site for the next-day shipping... (though I won't get it until Monday or Tuesday) But is anyone aware of other authorized retailers with freebies? Obviously no discounts off that $400, but any goodies? Most sites (other than S&B) are saying they are sold out, but I do remember one site that had a free mini Tightvac. (although someone had posted that their shipping took forever and a day)

Anyway, free next-day from S&B is probably what I'm going to go with. Just wanted to know if there were any better deals that I'm not aware of.

Can't wait to join #TeamCrafty.

UPDATE: Couldn't wait. Pulled the trigger. :haw:

I still can't decide between the Mighty. I like the idea of a Crafty in my pocket, but I like the idea of not having to charge it everyday. The Powerbank feature is cool - not sure I'd really use it. I'd probably just plug it in. Im starting to lean towards Crafty since I can just plug it in and use it as a home vape. My Volcano is already packed up and in its box.

The other half of me is thinking completely different, as in a Muad Dib and some concentrates. I miss that sativa oil feeling I used to get from my pen that I haven't been able to get since.

I find I get better performance when I slightly press on the load gently to pack it.. Was so used to using a solo with a loose pack.

Did it say somewhere to pack the mighty more tightly? Have you guys found better performance with a slightly tighter pack on the bowl?

I always pack halfway to 3/4 full and use the liquid pad on top slightly pressed down. My ABV pops out when finished as a solid herb disc.
