What to do with ran BHO weed?

So what does everyone do with the weed that has been ran through butane? Throw it away? Or is there a way to still even get the rest out of it?

lolz, i have been wondering the same thing. i was thinking of doing a bud run & then giving the bud afterwards to a combusting mate for a smoke report to see if there was any use to the combusting heathens.

I do single pass bho runs, then take the remainders (once dried/evaporated), and jar it up until I have enough to do a 15 second qwiso run.

I call it my 'emergency dab needs' stash, as the return isn't that great, but at least there IS a small return for 'those' times.

we did a few runs and put the leavings into the empty fire place.
a few days later when we started a fire in there, we didn't know that the smell of pot smoke was filling the neighborhood.
until the fire is hot enough, the smoke settles around the house instead of rising away.

I have been making BHO out of some lower grade hash with some friends. I decided to simmer the leftovers in some coco oil overnight and bake with it. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS. This coco oil is some of the most potent i have made and is a great way to get some extra out of your material. My understanding is that the butatne only freezes the smallest part of the tricomb off the thc, but there is still much of it buried inside the material itself. Let the medicating begin. Great topic!

I actually took some buds I did from my last run, ground em up more put em in my cloud and I got 2 solid rips off it before it stopped working so well. I was surprised that it didn't taste bad or anything. I don't plan on doing it again. it was an experiment. I'm worried i contaminated my weed so I don't know what to do with it either!

I dont know if the butane or ISO will stay in the material for long after blowing, but the cooking process would boil out the butane, and leave the rest of the contaminantes in water left over.

I usually just throw it away. Sometimes if yield is significantly lower than expected, I'll repack the tube and run it again. I have saved up a few runs (prob like 2oz total) and then turned that into qwiso. The resulting qwiso was so shitty I didn't even try smoking it, just put it right into edibles.

butane boils at -1 C so as long as your weed is stored above that temp it will evap out very easily. it's the other contaminants in the butane that are not in fact even butane (those pesky remaining 30-50ppm) that I am worried about.

I've vaped a bit of Post-BHO bud in my solo at 7.
I got some vapor, but not really that much.
I gave the rest to a combuster buddy and he said that it was fine to smoke.
It wasn't as good as normal bud, but it "got me[him] high after a few cones"

I don't know how much of that is just the combustion by-products, and how much is MJ actives, but thats my :2c:

I usually save up my runs and do a double run with my two extraction tubes of the grinded up second run bud.

I jsut got 1.9 fully purged second run wax from prolly an ounce and a half of second run buds. definitely was worth it! not that bad of quality.

took a couple dabs out of it but its on the right, one of the mango first runs on the left

that one on the left is nice. vie been wondering the same thing i make wax aswell an working off what i read here and what i plan on trying here when i have time is that butane is a positive salinity and something like isopropyl alcohol aka rubbing alcohol is negative. weed is positive so it get u much better wax with out get into the plant . thats why littler wax is better. but know this its two differnt ways off extracting the THC. SO if u put all this together you should on paper and ive heard of people doing this but never seen run it with butane then let it dry out then do the alcohol and it should work and come out pretty good on the alchohol becuase it makes a lower grade wax anyways... but ill try an mabey post a few pics of how it worked out for me if anyone ells has any other ways that u could make one bud into 2 differnt waxs or oils that be nice.

Funny this should come up, I was wondering the same thing myself the other day... I was entertaining the idea of throwing post-process BHO material in my bubbleator (basically a tiny washing machine that drains through bubble bags). It seems to me the water would take up any contaminents from the butane, but I don't know how good the end product would be, or what kind of quantity. I might have to give it a shot when I have some spare time.

Ok I totally forgot to update. I used the ran weed to cook with and bam!!! It works! I got just as high off of it as I do with my ABV weed. So you can infact cook with it after you have run it through.

My buddy just hit me up for some post run flowers... Results may vary, but he combusts them and said its like regie... Which leads me to believe all brick has been hashed at some point.

Alas, I didnt have any for him cause I ate it all!

I have been using this method for the last 3-4 days. (i cant remember which)
but if you save your abv and toss your run remains... Thats silly and wasteful imo.

I have also made brownies, chocolates and candies from edible oil made from bho run remains. Lotta good body seditives left in it for sure.

I give my herb that has had Butane shot through it to a patient that I know that is without income.
He combusts it, and says it is better tasting than "commersh"... and that it is "better than no herb".

Some great ideas in this thread here! I have truckloads of old QWISO washed buds that could still have tiny bits of goodness to cook into some coconut oil! I'll have to get onto this when I get the chance!

I beg to differ my friend. All of the below concentrates are QWISO (except the shards of clear amber absolute shatter which are LWET). A number of fellow FC members local to the creator of these fine errlz who run their BHO agree that this is tastier than their vac purged BHO!

I save my duff for a mate who mixes it with my rubbish leftovers and still pisses and moans that it is to much for him. I suggested he may want some lawn clippings to take the edge off.
Just quietly that is the one of the biggest compliments I have received as a grower.

Back on topic
I have often wondered the same thing as I feel the slugs that come out of the tami are a little tacky. It is just laziness that I have not pursued it. Next run I might cook one up just to see whats left.
