@paytonpenn, do you feel like the off flavor is from your air pump?

Because I blew up a bag with an evo once, it worked great but the pump was brand new and all I could taste was it. I've been wanting to try it again with the pump that I have available now, which is well broken-in. I can see why the better bag vapes use a fan system, instead of air pumps with mechanical diaphragms.

I do feel it was the pump. But I don't think the Versa bags taste as good as hammer bags.

I seriously doubt they were "versa" bags, probably some kind of generic replacement stock.

I do wish chris was a little better with people, and had been able to make more friends around here!

I just love this vape he came up with, it's perfect for my needs. I really have no complaints about him personally, we got off to a bit of a rough start but as I mentioned he really did me a solid last time around. I hope he sticks with it, and is able to hook up with the right folks to bring the infinity to market properly.

I have a Hammer Pro the clean airpath is probably why I think it tastes better, but the non boost unit just isn't my choice for taste. The taste gets even worse at high temps but it may be the ceramic heater causing me taste issues.

I wish it was brought to the market I feel like I would thoroughly enjoy this beast. Oh well maybe in a few years ?

So what voltages and usage style are you guys going with nowadays? Still boosting?

Hows taste on higher temperatures?

I have both of mine packed away while I'm living in an apartment during the building of my house. I use constant boost though. Usually 55-65v always boosted. I pack very small amounts and usually get 1-3 huge rips. I miss not being able to use it.

Taste does suffer at higher temps though.

I boost in the 64v range. I used to turn up the voltage, but now if I want darker avb/more complete extraction I usually slow down my draw for pretty much the same type of effect.

I think the taste is excellent, the ssv may be the closest comparison if you consider the ceramic element and the metal screen being the only non-glass components in the air intake/vapor pathway.

I see, I'm normally around 90v with no boosting and my bags are normally 90 as well. Taste is great below the 70s. I do prefer higher temps and quicker extraction. Boost works on my unit but not as great as your units, I normally try and avoid it since the airflow gets blocked too much and can cause headaches for some.

I will note that boost works well on the nippled air base and I only have to plug a hole. Been using my bent Solo stem for direct draw, amazing flavor.

Are you guys using water at all.

I use water mostly with this unit. Either a hydro tube or a regular water tool. Really milks up my EFS. I find I get fairly quick extraction at lower voltage using boost. I like to use lower volts with boots because it keeps the unit fairly cool.

I'm the same way. The infinity can milk my blaze bong with an ashcatcher, it's the only vaporizer I've tried besides the sublimator that can do this. The evo can be coaxed to get close but not quite.

:tup: Me too. I used to run mine about 10-15 volts higher, but the taste improved and my unit is almost completely cool to the touch this way.

Yes, the concentrate bowl never did it for me, I found that a ceramic disk worked better with the versa, just not enough to change the ease of a torch and nail. I bought this for oil, it just is not easier then a torch and nail or a VB2 but I have been getting back to flower and remember just how well the versa did the job.

:tup: I really like my infinity, it just works. The all-glass design is elegant and it tastes great, it's a pro in every way except it's fragile. I really like that the bowl is easy to fill and dump, without any elb's or bullets to mess with. But the infinity's best feature is its extraction capability, which is first rate.

I hope mine never breaks (again) :science:
