MiniVAP Vaporizer

If you're not bothered by the size and if you don't mind that you will probably have to use water tools to get the best out of it, it's an excellent choice.

I'm interested in the Crafty to complete my vaping set, that would be great to have something very small to go with my two MV's but I'm also turned off by the plastic design, not that I question the quality or the purity of the material, it's more about that it doesn't seem so sturdy. Maybe in a couple months.. I'm tempted of course :)

The MV is a tough piece of gear. Unfortunately, once mine has fallen from a meter on the wooden floor, came off fully working, without a dent. I'm not sure the new S&B stuff would have survived that.
Not that I don't like their products, I bought the volcano 7 years ago and it's a very reliable product, but the vapor experience is far from the MV so I don't use it anymore.

I'm not bothered by the size at all. Matter of fact I like the size of it. Just right for a nice portable home unit. I know most of you guys are using water to maximize your experience, but I just don't have that luxury right now. Also I have never been big into water pipes... call me weird I guess.. ha.

Would I still enjoy the MV without water? ... I think I could if I tried... lol

Yeah, with a glass water piece used dry ;)

It's totally useable without water of course, but the current default attachments may make it a little bit rough especially on the long run. Maybe you'll learn to love glass !

At home it's an awesome unit. If you check out my videos you will see I love to use it in the garden, and pretty much anywhere I'm comfy bringing my stuff around.

What would be the most reliable retailer to purchase the MV from? Is there anyplace that has it under $500? I checked out vaporseller, expensive.

2, 3, 4 heat cycles on RED and one tiny, minuscule puff of almost invisible vapor.
Place same load in any of my other vapes and massive clouds.
Something is wrong with mine...
It is now on it's journey back to VaporNation.
Hoping for a speedy return of a new MV!

Yeah sorry man. I was baked and my meaning came out wrong. I was meaning.. Man would ot suck if that was the case and the unit was just sent back.

That is wierd :mental::D
Glass and vaping go hand in hand in my book. Bong, bubbler or straw.. Only bags are used glassless for me.. And don't do them anymore. So..

:party:on! Laboratory for tonight.

Just another opinion on water pieces.

I use my miniVAP with and without water.
It has 4 heat ranges as listed above. I often use it straight draw with the 2" mouthpiece on
heat ranges 1-3 and then take 3 seconds to switch to a bubbler for 4/high range.

However, I do use it with direct hits even on 4 heat and find it ok. One could also use the whip for direct hits BUT with a longer vapor path to cool it more. Each person's comfort level with direct draw vs thru a water piece is different.

There is a "cheap glass" section you may want to explore that has info on very useable bubblers for very cheap--like $30. These often sell for MUCH more at stores but these are from China suppliers.

Did you guys get your MV from the official MV website? I just checked 'em out and they're out of stock on the portable unit.

Almost there...

LOL! No worries at all!
I was just stating the reason i sent my unit back.

And yes that would suck if the original unit was returned...
Then i guess it goes to Europe to get sorted out!

Going to rocking out with my best pal Herbie for a while!!

@EAG1E4 , I'll agree w/Roger D, that it can get on the warm side. But that said, I pretty much use mine dry ALL THE TIME! . I mostly use the flexi-cone+ ( the long silicone tube) with part of the Teflon mouthpiece. Also I like to use the flexi-cone & Teflon mouthpiece! ( which gives a shorter vapor path).
I've only used my waterpieces like 2 times, which was Wonderful!! But a lot of my MiniVap use is away from home so that's not practical for me ( using water tools). So I'm really used to using it dry. I'll just have a few sips of Water to ease any irritation of my throat after many draws. Like someone mentioned, everyone's tolerance to warm vapor will be different! I was new to herbal vaping when I got my MiniVap 1-1/2 months ago & I had to get used to it (warm vapor), as it was totally NEW to me. IMHO it's something each individual will have to decide for themselves whether or not using water tools is necessary for them!
Well that's my :2c:, hope this helps you in your decision. Now onto my Mini session to medicate before bed.
:mmmm:
Happy vaping all & Goodnight:chill::smug:

Even if I use it 90% trough water I enjoy to hit it dry!

But I noticed some times in the day are better for me to hit my MV dry without coughing, in the morning cause I, I think, the hot coffee helps to calm down my throat but most part of the time I have a not enough iron throat to enjoy it dry, I think it depend strain, ambient humidity and how you feel too!

When it's too difficult for my throat I can't enjoy the taste, so I switch to a WT with a big can and here the MV is alone to be able to taste better trough water than dry (but peoples are different, I would like to see a vids of Vitolo drawing hard on a MV at red setting:lol:)

Herbie always looks kinda like a camping potty to me. I'd love one though.
Or like a portable version of that self service sperm bank deposit machine they have in Japan..

Hi, do you vape on the floor?!!?

I prefer a more confortable place to vape, especially with a so high end vaporizer!

I thought the same thing as :whip:PPN. Then thought it must be a work bench table of some kind

Edit *
Random thought.. Nothing beats a shaft of direct sunlight into an otherwise naturally lit room to enhance a session no end.
It's always nice to have that almost exaggeration  of the visual cue for vaping.. Downside? Shows dirty soiled glass.. :disgust:.. Colour filter shades :cool:with switchable lenses would be pretty cool for this. :leaf:

:wave:Another.. As part of my ritual with my Arizer units I would always place the buds I was gonna be using that night on a warmish surface (modem powerpack, top of tv vents) flipping them every now and then with the end result of real super crispy buds, that are open to whatever grind you desired, albeit a more dusty one. I did this, as when I first used the Volcano in Amsterdam the dude in Barney's advised as dry as possible goodies.. He worked in a coffeeshop so I figure he's basically a weed :ninja: Anyhow I ended up stopping this for some reason. I think perhaps because the MV will still give loads of clouds and have a great and slow to diminish taste without bothering with the crisping.
Now I had my EQ out so fell back into that ritual and when I put some of the crispy bud into the MV.. I .. literally.
The taste sensation was back! Doubly so more than usual.
Fu#k yeah
Needless to say this part has been added to my MiniV sessions from this day forth. What in the hell was I thinking? :hmm:
You top shelf users have it good. What with being able to purchase top grade stuff, cured to perfection. I'd love that.

No, not the floor!
That is a workbench in my small workshop!
I now have a custom built room with comfy chairs and a table in which I vape! Even has an exhaust!!

Last night I was getting huge rips with MV off my bubbler. And it just kept going forever! Big basket loosely full on high. I was able to chain vape the Evo, Herbie and MV through water...fucking fun, I think, I don't remember some of it!

For reference on my hot vapor comments...I never go above 4 on the Solo without water as well. So if you dig the Solo on 6 or 7, the high temps on the MV will probably be fine for you. The real problem is that this thing tastes so good that I keep hitting it for super long sessions that later prove to have worn out my throat!

@EAG1E4 if you live in North America most of us ordered from Vapornation. You can use the discount code found in the retailer section for 16% off.....the 25% off code has expired, but at times they have a 20% off deal.

Vapornation acknowledged my return and their standard 72hrs to let me know the outcome.....replacement is the only answer I'll accept btw.

I LOVE vaping in direct sunlight. There's a certain time every day (less and less now that the time changed) that sunlight shines into my room. I don't think it's a exaggeration at all. The sun shows how much vapor your really inhaling. That's a big reason why I think smokers don't like vaping that much. They don't believe their getting a big hit. I showed a smoker friend vaping in sunlight and he was blown away with how much vapor he saw from just a wee bit of material.

When you have resin rich, thick, hard rock buds, it's better not to put too much of it in once, or use the small basket, it can kind of clog the air flow if you pack it hard with a fine grind. With fluffy buds, there is less ways to over-pack like this since the material is naturally aerated, so I usually top it off and push a bit. The idea of a perfect bowl packing is to trap the heat and let it penetrate in the product.

Roger could you post a side by side pic of the large and small basket? Is the difference between the two huge ?i only have the large basket and I need more so I thought I might as well get the small.
