Discontinued The Hammer Vaporizer

Flame control + would definitely need a larger tank, but would also mean faster heat up time? I feel like the hammer definitely uses more butane than say a torch lighter for the daisy or lotus would. Is there any dip in the heat exchanger so the oil doesn't just drip down the stem? If not an included wool pad would be nice like the volcano liquid pad. But I'd probably just use it for convection as to not dirty the exchanger.

Something that should probably be done for the pro is, if possible make it doesn't get too hot to touch.

The Hammer PRO does actually include few tweaks to the heat exchanger for better use with concentrates. However, the original Hammers will also perform the job without any issues.

If you haven't tried your Hammer with concentrates... You are missing out!

Seriously better than any rig setup you've tried...

Care to share these tweaks? After using my hammer as a nail I wasn't really impressed (no offence I know it wasn't intended for that anyway) . Def not comparable to a rig IMO

Looks neato, liking the warranty also, good work.

 Good stuff.

Interested.... not sure if I will replace my v1 with a Pro unit, but sounds nice.

Ditto but always interested

You need to check the heat exchanger is blowing red before to stop heating and start your dab, you can only do small dabs but it's smoother than a nail but not so tasty than a low temp dab+carb cap imo....

 Can you do a double-decker w/ a loaded stem, or would the temps needed to dab be too hot to do something like that??

I do that all the time, I load a stem with flowers to catch the excess of oil and it add some taste, the first dabbing hit I stop heating during inhale and after I vape my flowers bowl normally!

I don't use my Hammer a lot but each time I take it out I made at least 1 dab and 2 flowers bowl (i flowers, 2nd shatter and 3d flowers+oil), this treatment is devastating, don't plan to make something after!

It doesn't blacken the herb? I'll be hitting my hammer, and I'm pretty sure it's no where near hot nail temp and the taste will change and it will be blackened. Usually if I try to draw consistently for too long that will happen. (which isn't too long, just to milk a 12" straight shot and a little more really)

Or are you just using the hammer to melt the concentrate onto the flower and not use it to dab?

Alright @mrweed I have to ask here too, what is with that Hammer review you just put out?http://vaporeview.wordpress.com/2014/11/16/the-hammer-vaporizer/
I can't find any questions from you on this thread, so that us experienced hammer users might have helped you out with any difficulties or concerns you were having, BEFORE writing what I'm sure we can all agree is not a completely accurate description of the Hammer......"5 minutes of holding the trigger for one bowl"?, "30 sec for each draw"? Surely you've seen @paytonpenn's 36 sec Hammer session
......."Unscrewing the whole thing to fine adjust temp"? To adjust beyond limits simply push notches on inner ring of temp switch. Have you read the thread at all? Sorry if this comes off as offensive, I GENUINELY want to help you out, I fear some of your subscribers might miss-out on what is already honestly an AWSOME vape, Durable, Versatile, POWERFUL, with FLAVOUR (without butane;)) to match. It does what it's supposed to, and then some (nail), and can only get better with improvement.:2c:
:peace::)
Edit: I wouldn't normally complain about an internet vape review outside of the forum, but from one of FC's own....... I'm just curious if there's any thing we can do to help a valued member and reviewer member.:peace::):peace:

i've replied to you on my blog a few seconds ago @kahlilhc
i know what I've said abot the hammer. I don't think it's worth the money!
You can disagree, I know this would happen as I've stated myself that it has a lot of fans, but I'm definitely non of these. I prefer every torch-lighter powered vaporizer and every butane-powered vaporizer over this!
also I'm no fan of their campaign on indiegogog... seriously, this thing is already available, why do tehy need a funding?! this is a plttform for start-ups

Ok, you are not a fan of it but it don't need a 30s heating between each hit, I only heat it 30s for the first time and after you get crazy clouds with a 10s heating time max.

After that I'm agree with you there is lot of more usefull butane powered vapes...the Hammer is designed to produces large clouds and to be efficient, not really to be stealth and quick, and since it needs a long first heating time it's more a session vape than an "one hitter quitter", although the sessions are short (2 or 3 hits) cause it extracts the goodies quickly.

About the IG campaign I'm agree with you but it was the same about the VXL Evo, the Inhalater 05 and maybe others I don't remenber so it's not new

edit: they call it the hammer, it's not a gentle and sweety device, it's made to break your face with a massive extraction....and did you try it as a nail?.....trully enjoyable way to dab!

well, of course pre-heating reduces the heating time between hits... but what happens if you don't take one puff after another?! especially when attached to a bong, i doubt that the 10seconds are enough, because you will wait longer between the puffs, too. as stated here often, i always wait at least one minute between every hit and this is enough time to cool down a lot. so maybe it's just 20seconds for me, that's still annoying, when a simple mechanism that holds down the trigger automatically, would have fixed this issue!

and what I was trying to say about their campaign is, that the hammer pro must be produced, already. sicne they want to sent it out right after the campaign ends, so I'm wondering why they need the money?
vapexhale have build their own little factory, so that's not exactly the same.

anyway, no harm ment. it was not my intention to hurt anybodys feelings

mrweed unless you are vaping concentrates the Hammer is really a session vape not a one hitter it's designed to preheat first I think.

Honestly I keep my hammer tuned for 20-30 seconds heat up per hit 45-60 seconds for the first, I like it that way for slower longer sessions. I can "re-tune" it if I want and get the time down to 30 seconds for the first hit and 10-15 for the rest if I want faster sessions but prefer my hammer running cooler then that.

You Can Adjust it to suit your needs in how quick it heats and how hot it gets, pretty simple. I generally use the hammer outside (actually do 99% of my vaping out in the elements) so I've never even smelled butane nevermind taste it, The Hammer is truly one of the best tasting vaporizers I've ever used.

Just did a BB size piece of wax, dry with just a lock-on stem. It Was Pure Heavenly vapor and took all of maybe 1 1/2 - 2 minutes to finish. All in all I still say the Hammer is one Bad Ass little piece of kit that's unique enough to be of use in everyone's little quiver of tools.

:peace: FOR NO MORE WISPY OR WIMPY HITS, KEEP HAMMERIN' DOWN.

Don't worry brother,
All feelings Intact:)....
I agree a flame lock would be great for using it in the manner you describe, and it will hopefully be implemented in the pro.......I guess I was most taken aback at the vapor quality rating (less than IoliteV2:rofl:), when some of my Biggest, tastiest rips have been off the beast that is the hammer:peace::)

Edit: yes NO MORE WISPY HITS with the hammer, I'd actually stake my money the term "wispy hits" was coined by ioliteV2 users.

Not that I wouldn't want to see a flame lock as well, but I have doubts that it would ever happen.

Unless they found a way to keep the top of the unit from getting hot with extended sessions, I don't see flame lock as a possibility from a safety/legal standpoint.

It's just my thoughts on the matter, and I could very well be wrong, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I think they were having financial issues which is why they would like to do an IG. I can imagine them getting at a point where many had ignitor issues and they couldn't keep up with the demand of complete replacements.

I want a flame lock and bigger tank, primarily bigger tank, I have been using my Hammer with whip and bags, I am sure my model is not too different than the Pro at this point.

Would be great if my flame lock was replicated for other users.

I leave my Hammer on for around 6 minutes at a time when using it with the whip. And am very common to more than one back to back season.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

All this talk of flame lock is ridiculous. If you want flame lock just put something round the trigger! I've got the chain from an epik on there (from keychain loop over trigger) and I can slide it over the trigger badaboom flame lock. I'm sure a zip tie, piece of string or elastic band would have a similar effect.

Pah! level one mcguyver was primary school guys

At the settings I like, I do not even want the flame lock nor understand all the fuss over one. Unless physically disabled, is it that hard to keep your thumb down? IMO my thumb gets more a workout every time I sit at a computer, hold a remote control, text, etc...

If I were to keep mine locked, I would eventually combust every time. I am a big fan of high heat, fast extractions, slow heat up times, and long sessions;) Having a lock would simply not compliment my use.
