Blisssville is definitely the people I should contact not Magic Flight?
The customerservice@blisssville.com email address is the email address for Magic Flight warranty issues. It doesn't matter if you didn't buy from Blisssville.

I just received my MFLB in the mail yesterday and didn't get a chance to test it's full potential till today. I filled the trench, pushed the battery in and waited for the vapor to build up in the trench area (looking through the plexi-lid), but didn't see any. So I took a draw and the vapor was hot and then I re-read the instructions and it said to look through the mouth piece to see the vapor build. Problem solved. I'm on the moon right now and so is my buddy.

The bottomline is that I can proudly say that the MFLB will be perfect for my portable needs. My EQV will take care of the rest. The MFLB is easy to use, efficient, tiny, cheap for the results and I have zero complaints thus far.

I plan on ordering the PA for it, but should I wait for the official release since I won't be needing it till May?

I've got a couple questions... I've had my MFLB for a few months now, and I've used it off and on with disappointing results.

At first I think I was drawing too hard... I never seemed to taste much vapor and wasn't feeling any effects... Recently I found out about the pyroman (?) technique, breathing through the nose while just making a seal but not inhaling through the mouth... While this seems to work better, and I do get a small puff of visible vapor coming out (maybe on the 3rd hit in a row) when using this technique... I still don't seem to be getting anywhere near as high as with a pipe/bong/joint with the same amount (or more) of material in the MFLB. I know that 'visible vapor' isn't a sign that you're doing it right, and according to the wiki you probably don't want to see vapor, I'm just using it as a gauge to measure output. Using this technique, I do see that the material is darker than when using a regular method to inhale, so I'm sure it's getting hotter. Should I see a large volume of vapor with this method?

My technique is: Grind herb using 4 piece grinder (I'm probably not getting it small enough), fill to top of trench, use fully charged battery for 3 seconds or so, then continue to hold battery in while taking a regular breath through the nose, probably for around 10 seconds... then repeating this several times in a row. It usually takes at least 3+ times before I feel any effect, so if I stopped after a couple hits I would feel nothing...

Any suggestions? The device seems simple enough, I don't see what could be wrong with it, so I assume I'm doing something wrong... :\

fc1400...I'm sure everyone is a bit different, but I get great results like this. First and very important is to finely grind your herb. I use a coffee grinder and it works great (some don't like coffee grinders of course).
Then I like to fill the trench about 3/4 full. Then with a battery I actually let it heat up around 7 to 8 seconds and then inhale through the mouth quite slowly/lightly (never found a need for the through the nose method) and adjust the draw for the type hit I want. Draw harder and longer for a nice deep hit with less visible vapor and draw very slow for a bigger quicker hit with more visable vapor. I use the power adapter at home all the time now and when it is turned up close to full blast I only need to let it heat up a few seconds due to it being able to heat hotter and quicker than any battery I have had. I love the PA! Long story short is if you try these methods and all the others and still don't get good results your box might be faulty? I've had mine for about 8 months and it is still rocking my world just as good as it did the first day! Good luck!

You should try a finer grind, but your description leads me to think that it might be your LB. Try the test described here:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...w_can_I_tell_if_my_Box_is_running_too_cool.3F

If you don't want to use a trench up for testing, try hitting it 8-10 times with 4-5 second pre-heat and 10 second really slow draws. If your load doesn't turn at least medium brown then the LB is not hot enough. Email Magic-Flight and describe your problem and what you did to test it.

Also, forgive me if I am stating the obvious but vaping isn't instant. If you hit it three times in rapid succession, don't expect a sudden rush.

I just got my MFLB today and have been trying to use it for the past 4 hours. I just don't know if I'm doing it right or not. I'm only mildly buzzed. When I exhale, I don't see vapor. When I inhale, I taste the herb.

Why am I not seeing any vapor when I exhale?

How "yellow/brown" is the herb supposed to be when it's cashed?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

tdavie,
Hey guys. I'm new to FC and this is my first post. But I just want to say that Magic Flight is the best company that makes the best portable vaping product available. I just take slow draws through the mouth and i get feeling pretty good after one decently packed trench. However through my own stupidity I recently broke my box. :( I know right? Yet with Magic Flights Warranty life will be good again soon. They notified me today that I have been mailed a replacement box and will need to mail my busted box back to them. After I clean it ofcourse ;). What other company lets people do that? None! So I thank you MF for being the company that knows that its customers make mistakes like everyone else and helping us out. Never have I felt so loved by a company. Thank you.

Been here since 2009
Magic Flight has hit a good balance as a company. Good performing product that everyone likes, significant consideration for the selection of the materials and the associated safety / health risks, and a very personal level of customer service that resonates with our group.

Clearly they designed a product with the end user's well being and satisfaction in mind. Many other manufacturers are simply looking for the quick dollar with little regard for the end user. I suspect that some of the questionable manufacturers that are routinely called out on this forum simply make the dealer profit margins higher to encourage the dealer to push one vape over another.

Consequently, aside from Blissville, I don't trust vape dealers. They are in business to turn a profit, which is fine, however that clearly means they have an agenda beyond me as a consumer. That's why forums like this are the geat equilizer.

So im getting pretty pissed now and Ive had to borrow a friends MFLB. Ive already wrote about this once in the thread but Ive now sent 4 emails to the Magic Flight customer service and still havent gotten a reply.

Originally I wrote to magicvape@gmail.com on 12/26 and 1/3 then I sent an email to CustomerService@blisssville.com on 1/18 and just recently on 2/9.

I had the screen tear slightly once before and they replied the same day I sent the email and I received a replacement a week later. Now what's the deal? I included the serial number, pictures of the problem, and included my FC username. Anyone know how I could contact Magic Flight and get them to actually respond this time?

@Thunder

Hmm... Usually MF is very responsive to their emails. I notice the address you have above is missing an "s". Perhaps you sent to an invalid address?? I'd resend the email with serial number & pix again.

This is the correct email for warranty issues:
customerservice@blisssville.com

Hello everyone! My first post! :)

I'm wanting to order my first vaporizer, and I think this is the one.

Questions for magicflight:

1. Is puffitup.com a reputable vendor that sells LBs with serial numbers?

2. Is the newer version of the MFLB (one made of maple wood and no copper plating on the battery coil) available for purchase yet? If so, where can I find it? If not, how long of a wait until it is available?

Not sure on #2 but puffitup is legit, and there boxes have serial numbers, and are warranty-able

Purpl3_Haz3,
Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I tried to read all 358 pages but just couldn't get through them all. Anyway I have had my LB for about 5 weeks and love it. My question is since I never owned a grinder I finally broke down and bought one. Not owning one before I was a bit overwhelmed but knew I wanted a metal one. There were ones all the way up to and over $90 and some nice ones for around $45 with pollen catchers. Not knowing what I really needed and the since kid behind the counter was clueless I got an inexpensive one for $25 which is a small two piece 'Aerospace'. When I grind it seems to be bulkier than when I was putting it through a screen before and I know that I have read it should be about the size of salt grains. Should I be using a better/ finer grind? And what is the pollen catcher actually for? If I decide to use my coffee grinder after cleaning it very well first won't this type of grinding heat the product up and cause damage to the product? Sorry for rambling, well you know....

puff it up is reputable but so is blisssville! get it right from them!
i just got mine in the mail from them (discreet packaging) and i can confirm it is maple, no copper visable on it so i think youre all good to go

this is my new favorite toy, the learning curve was easy thanks to this thread and vaporpedia. all it takes is time, mild patience, and to not be an idiot and the reward is astounding. i like this thing most of all of all the vapes i have tried so far (zephyr, vapolution, no2)

i know there is no comparison when talking bag vs whip and so on, but this thing just rocks my friggin world

As fine as possible. A coffee grinder will do much better than your other grinder, just be sure to pulse and not just make it spin all the time. Heat might be a problem if it heats up too much, but if you pulse it and wait between the pulses it should be ok.

The pollen catcher is to catch the broken off resin crystals, on convenrional grinders it's very slow to accumulate a usable amount, but a good coffee grinder will have it's top covered in resin (kief) even from a few grams.

for now hold the grinder upside down so the bud wont fall through the holes.

No need to hold the grinder upside down since it's a 2-piece. That is only necessary with 4-piece grinders when you want a finer grind. Just keep grinding with the 2 piece until the desired grind is achieved. If your grinder isn't the best quality, you may find this difficult. However if you use the "scissor in a shot glass" technique afterward you can get the grind as fine as necessary.
