Are there some news about the Crafty app to be available for Windows ?
Not that we know of ... I did write a detailed article on getting it running on Windows with VirtualBox and Android-x86 ... you should be able to find the link to it further back in the thread.

Out of my ass, I think the mighty will always be able to work while plugged even on a dead batterry, while the crafty will need a battery replacement here and there. Too bad we cant do it ourself..
Unfortunately, the Mighty suffers the same problem as the Crafty, it requires some charge in the battery in order to use pass through.

Can anyone tell me how the bottom screen and bowl area is removed and cleaned please?

I've removed my bottom screen using a safety pin. I think S&B recommends a needle for the job which is the same idea. Once it's out, you can clean the entire chamber very easily. However, both removing the old screen and replacing the new one scratch up the chamber housing quite a bit because the screens scrape against the sides of the chamber on their way in/out. It's minor cosmetic stuff but still a slight bummer because I like the way the Crafty looks.

I would break it in with a bowl to coat the cooling unit if you have time before you go out.

I respectfully disagree because my experience has been the opposite. My Crafty performs much better with a clean cooling unit and a "coat" from one session doesn't seem to make any difference in terms of vapor density. BTW, @t-dub, your video demonstrating the Crafty output power is amazing. Really impressive performance.

Crafty maintenance features . . .

I love how S&B builds in the little "notches" so you can use the included vape tool to get the o-rings out. Most of you are familiar with the one in the cooling unit but I found another one that is not so obvious. I was attempting to remove the o-ring from around the filling chamber and was having difficulty. Then I noticed that both sides of the design are not the same. On one side of Crafty the ribbing doesn't connect straight, it slopes downwards. By inserting the vape tool and using that slope as a sliding guide, it popped that o-ring right out of there. Amazing attention to detail . . . :)

Edit: Looks like the fasteners are a torx T-6

Mine doesn't have that slope… Could it be a defect? Yours I mean… Mine is perfect! :p

EDIT: Not that hard to remove the o-ring without it though… :)

Vapor Sloth
If its an accident its a happy one because it helps. I also stand by my observation that my cooling units, when cleaned, reduce visible vapor, not effect, on the first bowl . . . :peace:

Thanks for the conformation. App works fine on my iPad so not a real big issue.

Gotta say the Crafty is amazing!

Damn straight. Haven't used anything else since it got here. EVO, cloud, nada.
The unused heaters were used with water tools.
Water definitely changes the high.

Mostly use < half bowl loose, packed with pot scrubber, 385 F, three hits to the brain.
Deceptively cool draw produces huge clouds and effect. Most effective relief of pain.
Here's what I can't figure out. It gets good clouds and excellent mouth and room notes
with Stokkebye Twist (tobacco). The VXL heaters don't. Any ideas? The VXLs do definitely taste better with the pain meds. Yes I taste tested all my meds before running pipe tobacco.

This is all home use. Battery has never been an issue. To prolong battery life you need to run it down past half and be able to cope for an hour or so while it charges. Rinse and repeat. Constant top off reduces lithium cell life for some reason. Running them into the ground I can see.

In summary...love the cordless convenience and massive cool unfiltered clouds. VXLs taste better.
the Crafty fits nicely in the hand and in the pocket. It can be discreet if you dial down the lights and the clouds. It's easier to carry than a solo, cool direct draw, bigger clouds on smaller loads(?), faster, precise heat. Solo has the edge on taste, and water tool compatibility. Plus you can buy three for the Crafty price of admission. Or a single solo and close to an oz.

The Crafty likely will taste better as its used more. This one here has been used for 11 days.

All that being said and all the above options (and more) collecting dust...I love this little fucker.

Thanks every one, you help me find the one!
After my first session(12 puff) im impress! Cloud look like the one i've got with my volcano and IMO with a better taste, closer to the FF one in taste!
I think ive could extract it more but i was to f*cking high to take more hit LOL

Great Scott!
Has anyone used the finest screen in the mouthpiece of the unit? Everything good there?

I just opened mine to clean it and OMG is it clogged up and messy lol...

Easy to clean though. I was thinking the finer screen would help keep the crap out.

The reason it looks so bad is I had already done a quick iso wash and ran water through it. I just disassembled it all and cleaned it all. Its not THAT gross normally, but thats a ton of buildup. Usually its dry at least lol.

So it's a better to drain almost then recharge for better battery life? This is great to know!

pretty sure there's an 18650 in there. Prolly shouldn't run it down to zilch. maybe 1/4 charge and cycle. Store for any length of time at 60 percent. No constant short cycle top off, limited trickle charge (overnight). Try to keep from overheating and you could get 4-500 cycles or more. I think. Lotta variables. Big one is what cell is actually in there to start with. Can't believe someone hasn't voided their warranty yet. There's some incredible mAh numbers to be had.

And when the onboard battery reaches end of life there is a super solid American branch of S&B to sort it out.

I use this portable USB charger (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009USAJCC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it recharges my Crafty 3-4 times.

Holly crap @t-dub !!! I clean my daily so they only ever have a stickiness and visible "shine" to them from a light layer of resin ...

@wootze ... since I hacked the Android App to get access to the diagnostics screen, I can tell you the battery has 2,650mAh (the diagnostics screen also gives you tons of other very interesting info ... such as the current mAh charge capacity of your battery)

Another interesting piece of info in regards to power banks ... the Crafty never draws >1.5A while charging (from diagnostics) ... so as long as your power bank/adapter has a charge rate of at least 1.5A you shouldn't see any increase in charge time vs the stock adapter.

Edit: @t-dub ... I've only used the fine screen in the cooling chamber/top-piece so far and it works wonderfully!

So what's the code for the diagnostics screen?
