Discontinued The Herbalizer

I've experienced slightly differing highs with all my vapes throughout the years and attribute it to what I call a vape signature, unique to each vape. Now one could argue that this makes no sense given it's the herb that matters, so I tried to classify and use the experience. I have found mostly-conduction vapes to give more of a stoney effect, while mostly-convection vapes give more of a head high, or sativa effect. Every vape has its own combination of these types of heat and that's what I think lends to the slightly differing experience between vapes. This is all subjective, however, just as your opinion of the Herbie high versus the Volcano high is. I honestly think there are too many variables (including our own chemical makeup that fluctuates over time) to figure this effect out.

What I have experienced is a tolerance build up to a particular vape's effect. I call this vape signature tolerance. I rotate at least three vapes. Rotating daily keeps this tolerance down altogether and allows me to focus on a particular strain's characteristics. Sometimes I will use one vape for two weeks until that tolerance builds up and then switch to a different one. In this case, when I switch I almost always experience a more intense effect. If you guys still have both vapes it would be interesting for you to use one exclusively for a couple of weeks and then switch to the other, and vice versa. I also think your perception of Herbie vs Volcano (or any two vapes, for that matter) would be strengthened or challenged by rotating them out each day for a good comparison.

I definely understand that this is a subjective subject to bring up, but I feel like its an essential part of the overall experience. I just wanted to add my two cents, and I'm curious to hear other people's opinions.
I'm sure a rotation would be ideal. I'm just planing on doing mostly half crafty sessions and bumping up to full crafty or the plenty when I feel like it. I'm sure a rotation of different types of vapes would be better tho.

Try it out with the two vapes you have. Use the Plenty for a week or two, or until you notice the effects aren't quite as strong with the same amount of herbs, and then switch to the Crafty. Then wait til you build up a tolerance to that one and switch again (just make sure you are using the same strain). Or just switch them out daily and see if you never build up a tolerance. It's fun and, even though both those vapes are by the same manufacturer, they have different designs and should create slightly differing effects.

This vape signature thing may hold true subjectively, especially for moderate users, but I tried this exact same thing with MANY vapes - Cloud, Evo, Herbie, Solo, Nano, etc. and when your tolerance is HIGH - nothing helps/works except a long painful T-break. Sadly. IME anyway.

The vape switch is not nearly as powerful as a true t-break. It just keeps the t-break at bay!

Call it what you will, but I tend to agree with the idea that each vape offers its own unique experience. Much like everyone has already said, the Herbie gives me (YMMV) the cleanest feeling vape I've ever tried. Albeit, your medicine, grind/pack, and preffered temp, will alter the effects. My SSV gives me much more of a stoney feeling vape, and usually much denser clouds. That being said, switching between the two doesn't do anything for my tolerances one way or the other. Only a T-break can help that for me lol, which I honestly don't mind doing a week clean here and there.

The beauty of the Herbalizer is there are different inhalation methods producing different effects. Direct draw with a short glass stem, turkey bags, whip, freestyle mode, Hydratube, whip into water tool, Herbalizer tent, etc. Combine that with instant heat up, precise temperature control, and different temperatures at a touch of a button it makes Herbalizer dynamic and versatile.

Ah I used to do the ol tent trick when I smoked :puke:
Imagine just inhaling and breathing in some tasty vapor. hey Let's all meet up and put a bunch of herbies in a tent, turn on the fans and blast the hell out of it:smug:

I used to do this with the Volcano And 150 gallon bags a few times a year. Still have not done it with Herbie for many reasons. Might be about time. The thing is one person hanging out creates ALOT of humidity and condensation. I don't consider it sanitary to share tents lol.

I am thinking three Herbie's outside the tent, hooked up to whips, with the whips going directly into the tent. Throw a couple grams of hash in the mix, and hit some fresh filled squeeze valves inside the fully vaped tent. Ah good times.

I just fucked with the concentrate pad again this morning. Came damn close to combusting. Looked at the ABv under a 40x magnifier and it looked like the darkest Herbie ABV ever.

Holy hell where do you get 150 gallon bags? And how much material did it take to fill that up ?

I got my Herbie! This is also my first vape :D I live in San Diego so I drove down to the main office and got a demo and picked one up. Very prompt and professional experience with the ladies working there.

This is the first time I've given up combustion and I was hesitant to do so. Every other experience I have had with vapes was not enjoyable but they were all cheap.

I don't have any relevant vape experience to compare but I have been smoking for over 10 years and this herbie has no problem getting me where I need to go and much further. I've only begun to scratch the surface. For someone that has barely vaped this has been a great experience trying bags for the first time, whip, fan assist, not to mention I'm probably only using 25-50% of the herb I was smoking. A few days with this device and I haven't had a single regret about spending the money.

A vape noob question.. in between taking pulls or filling bags, I always remove the bowl and power off the machine and then power it back on 3-5 minutes later. Should I remove the bowl and whip between hits or just leave it on there hot? should I let the machine run at max heat for an entire 15-20 minute session?

What aftermarket products do I need to connect it to my bong?

Thank you :)

619-507-0085 It's on their website. I wouldn't expect a call soon though, my customer service experience has been less than stellar with failed promises of call backs. Now that I have sold my Herbie, I don't really care anymore, but I don't like false promises.
Hey All,

Just off the phone with Herbalizer. They are going to take care of my calibration!

I also discussed with them the fact that I'd submitted a support request on their website which went unanswered. They apologized profusely, explaining that this is a result from when their website was hacked. When the website was returned to them, it was returned broken, so it's been really flakey on if they received support requests placed online.

They also reported a new website may launch as soon as today, so once launched, online submissions wouldn't be lost. I asked their permission to share this with the FC community and they agreed.

Vape on and have an awesome weekend!

Engine bags. Takes maybe 3 or 4 bowls to really get going. There used to be some pics of me in the tent, but they have disappeared from existence it seems.

Its pure user preference regarding your first few questions. I usually leave my bowl on the unit if its empty. If its filled I take it off in between rips. I try to make sure not to turn off the unit when the internal cooling fan is running.

For attaching Herbie to a bong depends on which type of bong you have. This tubing is a good start. You can use it for many Herbie related things such as direct draw attachment or larger diameter whip.

Glad to see people enjoying the two aromapads on top trick!

@SlightlyStonedSD usually I will take my first hit remove the bowl tap it a few times (shake the contents in the bowl for proper and equal vaping) or open and stir.

I'll leave the unit on in this case however I will put the bowl back on when I'm ready for a hit. I'll take a few light dry pulls to warm up the herbs then connect it to my water tube.

I've had very good experience with jhanpixel's store here as he has a great rep around here. The UFO bubbler for $150 is a great deal. More importantly it's quality glass with warm water in the pipe and some vapor you'll notice a better experience at higher temps.

I've still stuck on this as my setup I was going to go for a hydratube but I'm just too happy with this current setup absolutely no flaws!

A Recycler with this vap is almost a must! However you just started take it a step at a time! Congrats on putting down the smoke and enjoying ALL of your precious herbs!

Much love FC you've made my life easier I love passing that knowledge to others!

PS:
What's the size (diameter and mesh density) of the screens?
Does anyone have a link to 50 of them for $10 some where?

I've used the first 2 for over 10 months now, time to switch to the second set that came with it. There has to be a better place to get them than the Herbie web site.
Someone please deliver $5 for two screens 5$ for two aromapads come on now!

I AM BACK my friends! I got super busy packing up my gear and saying bye to friends in sunny San Diego, and am now traveling the country visiting friends, showing off Herbie, and building new alliances. Anyone want to sync up and has a couch to offer, PM me! I have good stories to tell :brow:

You may consider me Active here again, but there will be short spurs of no activity along my journey.

The new website is taking longer than expected to launch - again - but my (former) employees Bob and Sheila are working very hard to get it up. As always, expect the unexpected. :p

So where we leave off? I believe I said I would answer @biohacker next:
Also, I mentioned in one of my posts that the speed of lowering temps is a little desceiving. For example. set temp to max. Then use the fan to decrease temp to min. Then switch to aromatherapy mode, and back to vaportherapy, and you will see that the temp isn't at min., but in fact higher. Is this a glitch, is it as accurate as should be? I also tried to physically blow air into the heater port gently, and see the temp fall fast, but after doing the "mode flip", it shows a higher temperature.

So here's the deal with this. The RTD temperature sensor lives directly below the hot air outlet screen. Yet the heat source is behind it, and there is a very short time delay between the hot-air making and the hot-air sensing because of the distance between them and the laws of convection. Further, because you can visually see the temperature sensor you can also blow on it and cool it down, but the hot air will re-balance and the temp sensor will come back to where it should be. That was anticipated, and the key to giving a great user experience is making operations simple and not confusing (thank you Steve Jobs). So the software programming was written so that the small temperature variations don't cause the temperature reading to move. There is always the objective to balance functionality with usability.

Then you asked a great question - about why the temperature indicator 'jumps' sometimes. Anytime you go into Vaportherapy Mode the indicator shows you actual temp. Sometimes it gets a little hot without telling you - but don't worry, because as you then draw air from the system it quickly recovers. So the short answer is, the system is working as intended and you found a way to trick the software. Good job

I am happy to be back! You all have been so freakin' important to me to Herbalizer. Any questions you may have, about Herbie or Herbalizer Inc., I am here for you with full transparency.

Woohoo!
