:ugh::uhoh: That sucks! I hope my Noir doesn't die on me! I use my baby at least once a day (More now that I'm back to the gym - nothing like a post workout short session before heading home!)

I've be hard at work on these Silcione WaterPipe Adapters. My home made injection molding process is producing better quality SonG's (some bubbles require touchups, but the structural integrity overall of the finished part has improved greatly). Just cast this morning what I hope is the finished 14mm WPA - REALLY can't wait to use my Indica with the PNWT.

Apparently I had the pre production model Noir. It's shinny not matte. I was told that means something lol.

just received my indica noir from @PuffItUp and am very excited to get her going but this initial 12 hour charge is busting my balls. Very fine looking unit, i was surprised on first touch at the weight she carries, feels robust. the size as well caught me off guard, very stealth. the snow is almost starting to fall was -10 here today so the skiing is approaching which means vape testing in the conditions.

@rekrab : you are surely aware that freezing temperatures are the bane of Li-Ion batteries? Cold in itself is bad for them, but in a vape on top of that they need to work harder to reach and maintain the set temp. So it will put a double strain on them, I hope you're not going to ruin their life duration.

I'm not burying the vape in snow. Just going skiing. It would be in a pocket or my backpack while not in use. I live in Canada the cold is inevitable so if it can't handle that then I'm not sure what to do. A couple bowls out in the bush shouldn't kill it. My solo has lasted some cold dog walks as well as my mflb out on hill.

Doesn't have to be 12 hours. Whenever light goes out it's good to go. Should be a perfect t snow loading vape I would think...

@rekrab 3 to 4 hours is usually good for the initial charge as they do come somewhat pre charged.
The unit is fully charged when the blue/white light goes out.
If it has been charging for sometime, unplug the unit and plug out back in.
If the light flashes and goes out its fully charged.
Mine does this sometimes but works flawlessly. I think it may have to do with the new circuitry.
It will shine white/blue when the battery is fully charged and sometimes mine will be fully charged but the light is still on.
I unplug it, and plug it back in. if the light goes out I'm good to go.
Hope this helps.

pretty happy after my first few sessions. first bowl i packed maybe not tight enough. started on blue with little to no vapor and then kept bumping it up from their, purple and red gave me the best vapor obviously but just wondering what everyones loading style was like. do you put the spacer in? hard packed or soft packed? Dont have a scaled handy right now so Im just ball parking right now

I pack the oven loosely until the oven is full, and then I compact everything with a single spacer - that's usually the perfect density for me

I'm always impressed by the clouds I can get on even cyan and blue! But yes purple and red can be insane
Really depends on the strain. My last batch wouldn't produce visible clouds until green or purple!

Anyone else notice the V2 with the larger vapor path seems to clog much less than the stainless beta (or the V1 units)? I seem to remember religiously cleaning the path to keep it working.

Haven't had one problem with my new Noir (maybe once or twice a bit of material entered the path and clogged it, but much less frequently than my previous unit)

Rarely gets plugged, when it does a straightened paper clip down vapor path works wonders as a quick mid session fix. Even if its not plugged it almost always will increase air flow a little (or lot). Keep one in yer wallet, purse, murse, fanny pack, eh you get the idea....

Yeah of course strain, moisture, grind, pack all affect clouds and bowl length. But when it all does comes together, the experience is pretty incredible. I also think the larger vapor path clogs a little less, and is even quicker to clean.

I was thinking about another way to add value to the Indica for others, thinking about how many complain about session length and switching temps, so maybe it would help if there was a 6th setting, a yellow/orange LED before cyan or after red that js an automatic setting. It could start at cyan and do each of the 5 temps for 4minutes each, so you get a 20min session experiencing each temp and maybe it'd also be enough to finish a bowl with the right pack for people who like to be able to do that. (Even though the noir does seem to cook through a load quicker than the original, especially if you start at cyan and ride the temps, likely due to its enhanced oven and settings).

Does that seem like a worthy feature addition to people?

NOOOOOOOO! :uhoh:

You don't want to know how much grief we had during beta testing because the original design included a yellow setting—or "yellow" as we liked to call it.

Hahaha i apologize, my mistake! It doesn't have to be, I just though that was a missing color. In fact it should probably show the colors of the temps your on as it cycles through them. It just needs a separate starting color so people know when they're on auto or cyan

While still mostly enjoying this rig, I have been kindof circling around the proper packing density. I actually hauled out the scale and have been playing with .2 gram loads. I find that the spacer nearly always causes it to be too dense, restricting air flow. On the other hand, if I leave it too loose, it does seem to clog pretty quickly. I'm sure I will figure it out sooner or later.

Could be my current strains, which of course change (currently ACE Orient Express, Jack Herer, and some legal Washington strains purchased retail for the hell of it... "Little Green Gems" and "Shelton Sasquatch"), could be my grind (I use either a Mendo Mulcher or a SpaceCase, can't really tell a difference), could be something else.

Anyway, using the spacer as a bit of a tamper and then removing it seems to work the most reliably, although that does leave it loose enough that sucking a bit of material into the main path is a risk. Easy to clean after a session, but kindof a pain in the midst.

I've been using Ratchett's funnel from the start and now cannot imagine how I would deal without it. It makes me want a similar shield for unloading the oven, which I feel is the largest downside of this device.

Since noticing what makes the button stick, and avoiding that type of oblique press, it hasn't been a problem, but it would be nice to see it addressed in the future.

I agree with others also that it would be more useful if the indicator LED would flash while heating and then remain solid to indicate temp. It is very easy to miss, especially if one is mid-session when attention may not be as, um, rigorous... as it is while awaiting initial heat-up.

Still, great little unit. I haven't turned on my SSV in a few weeks. Current mode is to use a Flowermate as backup while the Indica is charging and to take the Indica on my walks. Similar to how I almost never use a desktop computer at home anymore, once you go wireless it is hard to go back...

Here it is my own Review , i hope you like

Just i can say im not the most experience user in FC but i have to give my opinion from newer vaporist.

I've got the funnel to load indica with herbs ( Ratchett tool, from first load im using )

Since the unit was in transit to my home i was very excited about have an experience and have in my own hands this vaporizer. I have to tell the size is perfect to fit in a pocket.
Finally i received and i plugged in for 9 h. ( it was at 80% and took a few minutes to full charge ) i asked to Mike and here at forum if was necessary to charge 12h. And he and people here told me not. When the lights off it is full charged. Since the first full charge i've got 5 sessions and 1 more of 3-4minutes and it's turn off automactly cause it has not charge. Im checking a few times charged and i've got the same , 5 sessions (50minutes).
I am checking every session and temp. Settings and here it is:

Battery 1
1. 3-4 m at purple and rest at red ( fresh bowl )
2. All at green (fresh bowl)
3. All at purple
4. 2 m at purple rest at red
5. All at green ( fresh bowl )
6. At green 3m and it turn off automactly

Battery 2

1. All at green
2. At green , last minute at purple
3. All at purple , im finish before 10 m
4. Cyan 4 m and blue 4 ( fresh bowl)
5. Blue 3-4 m rest at green

Battery 3

1. All at purple
2. All at purple ( fresh bowl )
3. At purple 4 m y rest at red
4. 4 m at red and finish before 6 m
5. All at green ( fresh bowl )
6. All at green

More or less always i get the same from full charged , you can see if i turn it off before the 10 minutes auto , later u get the same ... The charge can take around 2 h. Sometimes less.
Cleaning indica is easy to have always clean but you have to be constant to give to unit some love . In one way with pipe cleaner to the hole and the mouthpiece , i think is very important each session or two clean inside the piece cause i found a lot of oil and bites of MJ sometimes , with some ISO or something is fine, the other way the brush in the oven is a good way to have clean without bites, it needs sometimes to give a bit of ISO.

After 12 or 14 fresh bowls ( for me i get 2 sessions each fresh bowl or 3 depends of material ) my first using oven door is broken, is broken at the click of the closing of plastic, i will try to repair with some epoxy or something but i think no more than 10 days and it's broken one of the most important parts???? I have to use my second and last oven door !!!
I have to talk with Mike about this.

Flavor : i like it , i think it has more flavor for more draws or hits than solo for example ( i've got one ) but no comparison with vapor production , solo wins ( for me ) this, solo makes HUGE clouds than indica , setting two devices at same temps. , i have to say indica non produce same vapor but it's nothing harsh the amount can make so you can vape at higher temps. With less harsh than solo.
I believe i have to learn more about indica cause i think im not making the Big clouds that are making the people here , anyway i can make more or less big clouds, i think my first problem is the way of sucking, cause i normally use my solo ( conduction and convection )

One thing that surprised me was the electronic sound that is if you approach the ear and the clack you hear when is warming , i don't know if that is good for inhale.

I think just have one problem: is the battery, something tell me i have something wrong with my battery . And the problem with the oven door is very important i think cause are essentials parts of the vape ,i hope they will try to fix this little but big things

I think it's good vaporizer. Hard vaporizer. Soft vapor

Sorry about my english and have good experience!!

Edit : i think i followed the instructions!

^ I have nothing but good things to say about mike and the team at indica. Not only do they have a great product, they follow it up with amazing customer service!

I have to second this comment, Mike and the indica team are excellent. Just like Spinuch, I had my replacement unit in my hands within a few days and it was a new production unit as well (Thanks Mike). The new indica "noir" is truly a work of art.
