MiniVAP Vaporizer

care to explain?

Well, because the Mini dominated the high end price point in portables for awhile. Now the S&B portables seemed to be going after the same market, eh? At least, that's the way I saw it. So it would make sense for Mini to think, well if S&B is going after the high-end market and they're priced lower than us, maybe we should drop our price point to remain competitive. Kinda makes sense from a marketing perspective, eh?

Right, and the fact that both companies are located in europe may have contributed to an early heads-up.

Yeah, that's the other that I didn't think about. I would think that the lions share of their customers resides in Europe.

The Mini and Mighty definitely go head to head.

The one thing I've noticed now that I'm using my Crafty while my mini replacement is being dealt with is that the Mini is bud friendly. Much more efficient vape.

I'll second that. Now whilst I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable as some of you on here.. My vape experiences have been Arizer EQ, Solo, Vapocane.
I've never had another vape other than the MiniVap stop me mid session and have me question my body and brain if I actually need to finish this load.

Hopefully the price drops further. So I can cheap out on my inevitable second unit. I think if the green had been available over the last few days I'dve bitten the bullet.

Edit: sorry my actual point was about efficiency. The Solo if hit right was a great Vaporizer but i found that the taste dropped away after the first decent hit. Whereas the MV gives, to my pallette anyhow, hit after hit of tasty vapor. Even the end of load whispy hits hold more flavour than anything but the first Solo hit.
Fair enough the price points are really very far apart. It must be the convection! The solos Abv if taken as far as I can with the MV would taste pretty bunk. It's been a good long while since I hit my solo but i may get my mate to bring it round so I can directly compare now I'm an MV pro :ninja:

You read my mind kommyknocker! I too didn't like how the taste/flavor tapered off so fast on the solo. The MV doesnt have this issue as stated ,my favorite way to load a basket now is 2 small scoops of herb, and a small drop of wax. Efficiency is something I look for in most vaporizers. After switching from the Herbie to the minivap I can see I used quite a bit more with the
Herbie.
Now I'm stuck trying not to think about getting another one..

What do you think a basket of solo abv wired into an MV would yield. I'm gonna have to try that soon.
Just started the Crafty thread and there is so far much mention of the solo.
That's why it's on my mind.

Almost there...
X2.
I find it doubly efficient--- it takes very little bud and the great taste keeps on coming thru for hit after hit after hit.

Okay guys... Give me a break!!:D
MV is clean and packed up, ready to ship back for replacement.

Actually enjoying the Solo effects and clouds, at least it has been rock steady since it came to me!

I look at a stem of the Solo and then think, man that is two small MV baskets that would last me about an hour, Solo was done in 20 minutes...
Herbie is a weed hog compared to the MV but i am seriously enjoying her again!!!
Rock solid performance and massively tasty clouds!

But they are not the MiniVap...

I basically use the EVO to judge the ABV of other vapes that cross my desk. not that I think it is the "best vaporizer," but at higher temp settings I feel like it achieves a thorough extraction and leaves very little to nothing of value left in the ABV. whether or not my lungs can actually absorb all the goodies in those clouds is a different story... anyway

its not the experiment you describe but I have taken ABV from the solo and tossed it in the EVO and blown surprisingly large clouds with decently strong effects although flavor was quite poor. I then took ABV from the MV and tossed it in the EVO on the same heat setting. this produced very whispy vapor that was barely visible, flavor was almost nonexistent, and I felt little to no effects. impressive results from the MV.

I don't know about who can resale them, but that $519 is the lowered price I'm talking about. It was upwards of $700 - $800 before that, iirc.

This makes me happy. I think I have a load of solo abv someplace.
It will have been sitting in an hermetically sealed glass container.
You think that shit'll still be alright?
Towards the end of my solo usage I was definitely leaving a whole lot of actives in my duff. Think I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Gotta wait til Monday though. The MV effect seems to affect me for a long time. Baseline never seems to come Haaha.

My battery died today while just reaching temp on the red setting. I unscrewed the battery and put it on the charger. During this I proceded to take hits from the battery less MV. About 8 good clouds. I don't normally interrupt a session, but maybe this technique for people who like short sessions would give extra long battery life. IMO

I'll have to try this come Monday.
Was your unit fully up to temp, as in been on for a cycle or two and therefore fully saturated heat wise.

Yes. Full session on green. New large basket, changed temp to red. Stopped blinking, was solid prob a minute, then the lights shut off. It was a very open draw.

8 rips is bloody good going huh?
I'd have thought after the first one or two sufficient unheated air would have cooled the units innards substantially enough to have rendered it unable to create clouds. It is one pretty powerful little heater though.
