Arizer Solo

Lonesome Planet
Hey Arizer Solo fans! Just purchased a Solo from the latest Massdrop that just ended for $119 ! I'm super excited. I was wondering if anybody has suggestions for a good water tool (if it's even worth it). I've seen people use the f-bomb water tool as well as the pinnacle pro's water tool.

Ditto. Here.

What adapter is used for the PP water tool?

idk if this was PV's intention .

But there's an expiry date on the bag of chips .
When I receive their goods , it gives me the sense
that I'm receiving new/fresh up to date products from them .
Not stale/old inventory , if you get my gist .
And of course , we get the munchies ...

Am I crazy or does the Solo get less hot when used upside down (for example when using through a water pipe)?

I get nice clouds on setting 4 when using the straight stem in an upright position, and almost never go higher than 5.

But when I invert it and use it through my water pipe, I don't get much at all at setting 5, and routinely use setting 7.

I'm not complaining, since I get good results both ways, and it makes sense scientifically that "heat rises".... I am just curious if my results are typical? Or maybe just the water filtration is affecting my perception? (Although I did test using the glass pipe without any water in it, same thing.)

PlanetVapes PVHET 18mm gong and a pack of Doritos?

Is that normal to get a pack of chips with the order? i figure its a cool way to pack something fragile rather than use air bags? I must say 6 days from Canada to Australia...Awesomely fast ad cheap!

Mine came last week with Cheese puffs:)

I remember the one reducer I bought from planet vape came with chips, why aren't more companies doing this?!!!

Picked the solo up for a quick session and realized my collection of vaporizers always has a space for the solo. It is such a tried and true vape that is dependable and always reliable for me at least.
I swear it functions better than my evo did....

I'm using my Solo tonight with some Bubblegum. A very nice vapor flavor too. Received my PVHES mouthpieces from PV today. I'm using my shorty reg bent stem. I ordered 2 reg shorty's and 2 turbo, all 4 are bent stems. I prefer a bent stem over a straight one. It's just personal preference. The PVHES mouthpieces feel thicker than the standard stock stems. Now if I can stop from breaking them.:cuss:

So i replaced the battery and my o ring and I'm having a much tighter draw on my Solo. Is this even possible? Did I do something wrong. Can anyone think of anything off the top of their head?

At a guess it's the o ring, it should loosen over time with use.

I'm not sure who suggested it first here, but I recently purchased 2 E-Nano GonGs for use with my Solo. They work extremely well and I highly recommend them as a PV alternative. I set the screen almost all the way against the oven and I can get a nice 1.5 big hit extraction out of it.

Finally got replacement stems for my Solo from Planet Vape. Broke my last one awhile back, which forced me to use my Pax. After several months with the Pax, I finally got it to "work", but still pretty much hate it compared to the Solo. Since I was smart this time and ordered more than one stem from Planet Vape, I also took the opportunity to update my Solo and purchased a new one through Vapor Seller for 129.95 free shipping from Georgia. The order arrived quickly ,the site says authorized dealer and the unit is top notch. My old Solo is still kicking although battery life is not as it once was and will be a great back up, but being able to use the new Solo's while charging it pretty nice. I just love the Solo vape and feel it is hands down the best portable out there and at 120 cheaper than the Pax I just can't see why people still buy the pax. Even stealth wise... the Solo is more discreet while in the car or at a club if using the Stealth adapter from PV and drink cup. There is nothing natural or stealthy about bringing your fist to your mouth and sucking....Does Pax have a better marketing dept than Arizer... probably so...but in regards to product function there is no comparison....again... LOVE my SOLO.

You're welcome!

I keep bringing it up every now and then but it always gets buried as people are just so familar with the PV gong's. I recently sold my Nano, but not the gong's for it! I've owned alot of vapes over the years, and keep on gravitating toward to the Solo not only for best bang for the buck, but also best vape overall.

I swear it functions better than my evo did....

I agree with this statement. I still have a Cloud+, which is more like a backup, but the Solo can pump out bigger thicker clouds and extract the shit out of the bud like no other!

my solo is acting crazy, the blue led keeps blinking even when is shut off and when it reaches temp it auto turns off, is this a battery problem or can I trow it out of the window?

I can't find it, besides the unit has fallen a lot and i'm from europe and shipping is expensive ( i've just shipped the lsv back because it was broken and it toke me like 70 Eur) if i can replace the battery or fix it myself it's fine if not i think i'll wait to get the money to buy another portable

Hey all, just got my step father a Solo last week and we had a first go at it last night. Little trouble with the first session, hope to get some help here. I couldn't get very much visible vapor with it even at heat level 7. The blue idle light was always lit, is that a problem? What does that light mean, idle? To me that means it's not in the mode to be used, just in the ready mode, like a car is idling at a stop light. Just never seemed to get that hot? I am used to my Pax which is an absolute vapor cloud monster- clouds big as anything, probably why the taste suffers so much. The Solo, I know the stem/bowl got hot because I took the stem out and almost burned myself with it. But the herb never got even the least bit brown, I couldn't seem to get a cloud of vapor no matter how slow I inhaled. We had it on for a long time, probably took 20 draws each on the stem at level 7 and the material was still as green as when we put it in. At least 10 minutes for this session. Barely got lit, and this is some seriously good cannabis I have right now.

We used the little metal screens that came with the Solo, and maybe we packed the stem too tight? I just can't explain why we couldn't manage to get a cloud out of the Solo? Grind a little finer? Disappointing to say the least.

The blue idle light stays on when the yellow lights are lit up. That tells you the Solo is on. Is the Solo fully charged? Even if it wasn't you should be getting massive clouds on heat level 7. Make sure your herb isn't too damp. But you would know all that. You are very familiar with vaping. The cannabis doesn't even need to be ground up. You can use nuggets.

You may have a faulty unit. Contact who you bought it from. The Solo is pretty simple to use. You just charge and heat up.

EDT
Out of curiosity try a different stem the other one that came with the unit. Unless you've already done that? Just in case.

Try dialing down to heat 4 or 5 if it's your first time with the Solo. I find I actually seem to use the plant material more efficiently taking slower/less frequent hits at 5 than at 7. I really only use setting 7 for hash hits through the water pipe; for direct-hitting herb my sweet spot is 4-5. I've even read people on this forum using temp settings 2-3 and getting huge hits by simply spacing them farther apart.

If you took 20 draws in 10 minutes then you aren't letting it heat up enough between hits. Don't be afraid to wait a minute or three between draws. The herb won't combust. :)

Also try packing the herb a little looser, and experiment with different grinds (including unground). Until I got my grind/packing just right, I had best results simply by loosely inserting a small unground nug.

(edit) Last but not least, I partly agree with the folks over at Magic Flight that, if you exhale a giant milky cloud of vapor, then you are wasting your medicine... some of the worst vapes give the most visible 'clouds' and the important thing is how the session makes you feel!
