Well let's see I have owned the vapor genie(two kinds), MFLB, solo, da Vinci, inhalater 04, xp, And now 05, pnp, lotus, thermovape and I can't think of more lol. But ALOT!! Haha I woukd have to say the solo tasted the best. So from the consensus from it is as tasty as the solo but, better flow meaning faster easier vapor?

Much more voluminous amounts of vapor then any you mention above (with maybe exception of Lotus w/ correct technique)

Based on what I know of you @VapeNStone over the last couple years on the forums ... I think you'll like this one a lot! :)

Hi everyone might be a sill question but is it possible to vape waxes in the mighty? I'm thinking about getting one but price tag is very high and I'd like something versatile for that kind of dough i already have an Ascent which is supposed to work with waxes/oils but I don't find the results great. I'm wondering if oil on some gauze in the bowl would work

An oil pad is included for this purpose.

I am new to the concentrate game, my only experience being the very dark QWISO I make from reclaim and AVB. Previously I have run it through my Solo mixed with herb and it doesn't fully melt sadly, comes out like Hash :\ I shall experiment once the Crafty is in my mits :tup:

FWIW my Solo draws just fine. It works well with small and large loads, or with a pad. It's super versatile, temp is well controlled, battery life is good, vapor could be cooler. My Firefly draws well but is best sipped on. It cools vapor very well in the stainless steel channels and though it lacks precise temp control it rewards technique with exquisite taste. A MFLB is crude but tiny.

So? So a MFLB goes for $80, a Solo for $150, my pricey Firefly was $225 out the door. Some feedback to S&B is appropriate. In terms of contents, design and materials, a Solo's street price point is right on. A Firefly uses some very precise machining in Stainless Steel, expensive materials and finish, so the higher price didn't bother me. The MFLB is hand made in wood shop. I don't question the quality of the Crafty design or the execution, but charging $400 for a cast plastic vaporizer is IMHO predatory.

Of course it's all in what's more important to the consumer, let the market decide, but for some reason I don't feel good subsidizing gouging. A Ferrari is much costlier to make than a Fiat or a Mini. For all its cool a Mini doesn't go for $200k. Market is market but there's a subtle sense of fair play that shouldn't be ignored. How many of us here would price our products with no regard for what it costs to make?

A Volcano at $750 was way more than I was willing to spend, but when it came out it filled a unique niche. At this point the pricing on the new portables from S&B pushes my buttons the wrong way. It makes me dislike the company. I don't care how cool it is or how well it vapes, I'm not giving them a dime. Yes I know I don't have to, but am I alone in feeling this way?

i have been loving my crafty after getting in friday. every piece is so well thought out. i have been using it with oil pad as a spacer most of the time :tup:

2 questions. has anyone removed the oven screen for cleaning? seems like the only piece that i dont know how to clean.

is anyone plugging the crafty into the charger before plugging it into the wall? the manual seems to recommend this but i keep forgetting.

I wouldn't know if the Crafty or Mighty is worth the higher price tags. I don't own one . The consumer will decide. It's supply and demand. Since Storz and Bickel is a company that has a very good reputation I think that serve well for it.

When the Firefly came out I hadn't heard of the company before. You can't use the Firefly plugged in and you need to buy a couple of the costly batteries on the side. That does bring the price up a bit. Also the fact that you don't have very much of a temp range.

I thank the new owners of these units by filling us all in. It's always a gamble buying a new vaporizer right out of the gate.

It comes down to letting the customer decide.

Its pretty simple really. If you think it is too expensive then move on. It is not for you.

Do you ever need to stir the bowl? Or does it evenly vape the entire bowl the entire session with full flavor ?

I had the same sticker price shock you did when this thread was first posted, especially since I am an oil head. Then people started reporting their experiences and i have been following ever since.

I also broke my Solo out after this thread got me thinking about flower again. I love the first two puffs on the Solo but after that i loose interest and if i power through after the 4th full packing of the stem and 40 min goes by i don't care how much battery life is left I am doing a dab to get high. If I want to try and speed things up I go to glass and set at 7, hitting it hard drops the temp to below 3 quick and hitting it slow so it doesn't drop below 6 just gets me light headed from oxygen deprivation. the Solo is nice to sit back and sip on after a bunch of dabs for me. The Solo is very affordable and is something I recommend to many people but it just doesn't give me the quickness of extraction or the continuos flavor the crafty/mighty are reporting to give.

I look at it this way. I can afford to drive a Mercedes but choose to drive a Honda for my 10k miles a year, my buddy drives 100k miles a year and chooses to drive a Mercedes and I would too if I was in a car that much. When it comes to vaping I need a Mercedes, LOL.

I blindly think the materials used are not cheap plastic or will pose any health risks, it was conceived and born in Germany, thats all I need. I certainly don't need another vape that ends up on the shelf(s) either but for the first time in a while I am excited about a flower vaporizer.

I have had many vapes since I got my first vaporbros handsfree in 2006, and out of all of the vapes I have owned, I would say the Volcano has been my best value, its one of my oldest vapes, its definitely been used the most, and its never once had a hiccup. Even though I have backup vapes, dealing with warranties, and broken parts is really obnoxious for me to this day, and it was a huge deal back when I didn't have backups. If the crafty/mighty end up being as reliable as my volcano they are a good value to me. Will they hold up in the long run though? I hope so.

So far after two bowls in the Crafty, and one in the Mighty, first impressions are very good. I am able to get quite large/dense clouds, while still being smooth. I have also been having fun playing with the Crafty App, its pretty neat to hold the Crafty in one hand and then your phone in the other to see how your draw speed affects the temp.

I've been breaking in my Crafty this evening and am far too lazy to RTFM, so can someone tell me if there is a way to "un boost" the temperature after you've boosted it? Or do you just have to power it off and back on?

The one minute timeout is a pain in the ass IMO. My draws never seem to reset it, so I have to power it back on constantly. I wish the app let you change the timeout to more than a minute.

My initial impressions are very good so far. I'm gonna see if I can rig it up to a bubbler now..... for science. :science:

7.4. Reset to default settings

It is possible to reset settings (see Section 11.1. “Default settings”) which were changed using the CRAFTY App. The reset is made by pressing the ON/ OFF button for ten seconds while the CRAFTY Vaporizer is switched on.

If the ON/OFF button has been pressed for ten seconds, the signaling of the reset is made by the following running lights sequence: red/green/ blue/red/green/blue/red/green/blue. The CRAFTY Vaporizer also vibrates while the lights sequence is running.

Thanks, VV but I was just referring to un-doing the "booster" during a session. I tried the "double click" but it didn't seem to bring the temp back down to the main temp setting. It's no big deal to power it down and back up, but I was wondering if there was another way.

That said, I am happy Storz&Bickel brought their expertise to the portable vape market and because of the excellence of the products they have introduced Storz&Bickel forces the entire vape market to evolve. I like the crafty a lot, but the glass pipe aspect of my firefly is still winning me over. If the upcoming zenhopper pans out, my stealth itch will be scratched, and the evoke may even satisfy my "bluetooth curiosity" if it ever materializes. But I agree these new s&b vapes definitely have made their place in the market, and from what I can tell are already successful products and the new leaders in their niches.
