Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I have the same issue every morning for the past week with the flashing red light, i think it does have to do with the temp change lately, it gets really cold in the morning and i sometime leave a window open. I just have to power it on and off then it heats up as normal the rest of the day. For the vxn search back to some posts by Enchantre, she seems to have the best method i've found so far. Starting with a cold unit power it up to 11-12, once its green toss in the vxn. look straight down into it and watch it melt and vapor start to rise. Put HT on, wait a few seconds, long slow draw will get you close to complete vaporization. Keep an eye on the green light, once it goes red turn the EVO off totally. After your hit turn it back on, crank up to max and burn off residue (takes 1-2 minutes). Doesnt work well for multi dab sessions. I've never had the vapor drift down like that. I'm careful to get all the concentrate to the bottom of the nail, dont overload it and i usually use non gooey material, either solid shatter or cake batters/crumble. I clean the vxn's every 2-3 days with ISO also so theres no residual stuff that can drip off.

Why does it go red? What's the purpose, and why would turning it off to finish hit then back on to burn off make sense? Why not just turn all the way up after hit?

Only rarely can I get good hits and I have good shatter. My bamboo is filled with oil because it seems most hits it goes red then the oil gets out the slit somehow. I'm loading tiny amounts so I don't understand

Hit it at about 10 - 11.

You turn it off when it goes red so the blast heat of the heater doesn't burn the oil. This makes it taste better, longer.

Try really gentle draw...real slow, tease the vapor into the HT... when it is nearly full, pause a moment, make sure the switch is off, and then just draw it in.

when it starts to thin, you clear the tube, so that you don't get the icky taste of the heavier residues.

I've overloaded mine terrible, but never had it overflow... though I do use a bunch of long swabs & 99% iso ever week to wear away at the residual "ring" inside the bamboo. I get all the way down to the bottom, too. It's way better to use less.

Just a quick question... is it the 2nd or 3rd time that the EVO starts blinking at you that you realize you've been distracted?

TommydCat,
Mine never goes red when I put my nail in? I just make sure to pull to clear when I see the vapor thinning otherwise I get the burnt taste.

After almost a year of solid use, my indiegogo EVO has stopped working properly. Combustion now occurs at noon, time to send it back. Good thing my OG ticker cloud is still going strong after almost 3 years.

Did you check for cracks in the bamboo? If you can't tell visually you can plug the bottom of the bamboo with your finger and try blowing into it to see if it's air tight.

On an unrelated note- I just tried turning the unit off after dropping the nail in for the first time. I was blown away by what a difference there was in flavor! I never tried this method because I thought it would reduce the vapor density, but this wasn't the case at all. If anything the density was greater because I was able to let it preheat a little longer than normal without overcooking it.

Are the international pre-orders still valid?

My prepayment has disappeared from PayPal and now I don't know whether the price I got at preorder will still stand?

@stonemonkey55

Thanks

Just to clarify, my pre-order didn't require paying for. They set up a pre-payment in PayPal, set up to withdraw the funds just before they shipped the product. But I think the pre-payment had an expiry date on it that has now passed, and so there is no way for the payment to be taken at the moment.

I think the Indiegogo funders are the only ones who have actually shelled out cash...without anything in return...so far...

My issue is more about the pricing, as while I can just buy one when they come out, there was actually a decent discount for pre-ordering back before the release, which I wont get if I just purchase one off the shelf.

But if SM55 says it sorted then that's all good :)

My Evo has been doing some weeeeeird shit since I got it back from repair. Basically every time I first turn it on it will turn red for about 5 seconds not warming up then turn off with an occasional flashing red. I have to spend 15 minutes turning it on abad off and then randomly it will actually turn on then just act normal. Any advice ?

I finally received my EVO from @exit and my thoughts so far is that I like the lightness of the unit much better than my cloud +. I don't worry about breaking glass as much. It's unbelievably light. Love the detachable cord as well. I can get darker abv with the cloud, but I feel like the EVO extracts more thoroughly. I run the EVO on about the 3 o'clock position. I run my cloud + at about 1. So far though I am finding the EVO to be better suited for me than my +.
It also seems like the EVO hits much smoother.

Wow, are these things getting hard to sell? This sounds like they are getting desperate. I think it would be better to offer a lower price to new customers rather than pay for referrals. The price of this device is what turns people away the most, especially when there's plenty of other/better options for half the amount. I've been to many smoke shops that will not even consider having a Cloud on the shelf because "our customers would never spend that much on a vaporizer", their words.

They offer startup packages for a reasonable discount. I don't think vaporizing is cheap in general. However I'd spend all money trying to remain healthy to enjoy anther day. I "personally" think its worth every Damn penny. I paid $700 and got just a vape two screens and a Hydratube. Just my :2c:

I politely disagree, vaporizing can be very cheap in general - there are many, many vapes that are very good that don't cost even half of what the Cloud/EVO does. You don't always get what you pay for, and in the end vapour is vapour.

I got one of those codes just now! But it's incredibly generic :\ I feel like it's the same code everyone will receive, so how will they know who uses what?

yes it is important to remember that while the evo is a very nice and fancy vape, in the end there are cheaper options are hold up very nicely ;)

IMO the ELBs wear out too easy, if you're paying $700 you should get more than two ELBs, i got something like 15 free extra ELBs when I ordered and gave a bunch of them out.

IMO i also wish HT's were cheaper. my HT was very nice and well built as have been all the other HT's i've tried out but i think it is difficult for most people to pay the steep cost of a HT when a normal inverted piece with a similar perc situation could be had for less. i cant help but think this contributes to why VXL used to sell a giant line of different HTs but now sells a limited amount

i like that VXL is doing the referral thing though, however i already converted over a dozen friends to be EVO fanatics, if only i had waited until now I could have an army of free HT's! maybe they should send me one for all the people i switched over to the EVO!

I bet they would too if you could show proof which shouldn't be that hard if you're friends, why not email them and ask?
