Since we're doing statues of animals, here's a couple in St. John's, Newfoundland, honouring the Greater St. John's Water Dog (foreground) and the Lesser St. John's Water Dog. You might know them as the beloved Newfoundland dog and the world's most popular breed, the Labrador Retriever. Yes, these breeds are related and originated in the same place.

true story, I work in a call center, and one day I heard a co-worker say, "Really? there's a Labrador in Canada? wow, they named it after the dog, huh?"
I was not aware of how closely they were related, however. Thanks!

I love Newfy's. Reminds me, I was at the park a few years ago and this girl had this dog and it was soooooooo obvious what the mix was and it was just amazing. It was a Newfy/German Shepard mix and it looked just like what that kind of mix would look like.
Some mixes are really neat, like this Collie/Shepherd mix. Just look at the marking and shadings:

This is Bob, he spends a lot of time hanging out in the fenced off area that stores equipment for the 2Ave Subway construction. He also has trees around. He's enjoying one of the peanuts i drop off for him when i pass his crib
