MiniVAP Vaporizer

Isn't a glass straw a better option though? Than the tubing I mean. Less length, so less surface area for vapor to condense?

Maybe, if I had I one. Although I like how floppy the whip is. I dont have to think about what it bumps into.

Almost there...
Edit-upload that sucker @lazylathe let's see it

@stickstones
@Kommyknocker
@MinnBobber
@Smknbud

Here is the video i quickly shot last night.
New phone, so still getting used to it and this was just a test...
The coughing at the end is not from heat, i get this weird thing happening to myself sometimes when the flavour is too intense and it kind of collects in the back of my throat/nose and makes me cough. Kind of hard to explain though...

This was using the herbie whip, my favourite way to MV at present!
Not sure about condensing but it works really well!
I will keep testing and see how much reclaim i get from the whip and where it all collects!
Just look at the dense vapour!!! It was awesome!!
Wake and bake time soon!!!

Just noticed in the video that you can clearly see the difference in colour between the top and bottom section!!!
Does anyone else's MV look that way?

EDIT:
@stickstones
@Kommyknocker

A few pages back there was a big discussion on the placement and number of screen in the MiniVap.
IIRC the discussion on those pages went:
Screen
Small Spacer
Screen
Large Spacer

My Unit has an extra fine screen, the same material the screens for the FlashVape are made from.
So my MV goes:
Super Fine Screen
Screen
Small Spacer
Screen
Larger Spacer.

I have always felt a bit of restrictions i decided to remove the Super Fine Screen.
WOW!!! Does this open the MiniVap up a LOT more!!!
Inhaling is much easier and since i only use baskets it should stay very clean inside!
Does everyone have the same number of screens?

I would recommend this:
Fully charge battery, attach heater section and turn MV onto the highest setting.
Leave the vape alone till the RED LED turns BLUE.
Press the + button to reheat the MV, do this a few times and see if the top section gets nice and warm.
I also like to let it warm up and remove the battery and then restart the vape again.
Finding my lights stay more consistent with constant resetting.

If your unit does not get warm, contact the place you bought it from and return for a working unit.

Wowza those are big clouds !
How long is the piece of Herbie whip your using ?
The top portion of your minivap looks gold and when the camera turned to the left the light made the bottom portion look black. Weird..

@fr8nko88.. I second lazy.
My first unit died the same way.. And my second one was heading that way after two or three days.. I believe they were part of the shitty batch.
Things breakdown, it sucks when it happens but happen it does.
Hopefully you get it resolved man.

@lazylathe as for the screens.. My first unit had the double screens. Never checked my second and my current units Teflon is pretty tough to remove.. As in I haven't removed it. I will tonight when I get in my abode.. Also when I'll watch your video.

@stickstones.. Even one arizer balloon section added to the whip near the vape path will work wonders for cooling allowing your whip to be much, much shorter.
With a prolonged pull on my three sectioned straw the first segment gets too hot to even touch.. Though I can and do hit it just as hard as a bubbler.
Source one and you'll be able to enjoy the best of both worlds.

I used the whip setup last night with a hemp fiber reclaim bowl...massive clouds for ages! Thanks @Kommyknocker -- I will look around for some other tweaks. It makes sense that some glass in the path would help cool it more. I wonder how long the whip needs to be to get to the desired cooling effect. The entire Herbie whip works wonders, but I am sure it doesn't need to be that long.

@fr8nko88
2years on the heater/unit
1 on the battery
Contact them dude and get that ball rolling.

@stickstones... Balloon bags for the eq come with two segments for around 15 bucks. These also have the two hump parts that essentially mean each segment has more volume than it seems.
If placed close enough to the unit like on my version of straw then these humps act as a window of sorts that let's you watch the vapor come on up.

Same here

My black looks like a Matt black finish to the vape and gloss finish to the battery.

Hello All

I have been a minivap owner for about 18 months now. I have also been following this thread since it started and decided to buy one based on it. I'm a medical user and I pretty much solely use a water tool.
I smoked joints for 15 years and am still having trouble completely stopping.
Anyway iv been using this vape a while and love it and found that more often I wanted to be included in the convo.
This is my first forum I'm very untechy sorry if my etiquette isn't spot on at first.
Cheers J

I actually used a the same EQ balloon glass tube a good 1-2 years ago (whenever I first got my MiniVAP)
I've since switched to usually hitting it with a small water tool (Zapubbler) so almost never hit it dry .... maybe I should reconsider and try chaining some together ... always still seemed a little too hot with just one :)

Welcome to the forum and one heck of a good choice for a vaporizer! It's one of the best in my opinion!

Yeah @JCat.. Chaining them works absolute wonders. Just the one will burn your lips off with any type of long pull.

@Jimbo.london.. Welcome aboard.

As for the removal of the T-rings? Gonna check just now.. First though, heating up my unit for some 6am wake n bake before running 8 miles. Running or training whilst MVd or just vaped in general is something I simply love to do.
Edit: used a spoon and they came out fine. I have from unit up.. Super fine heater screen(I upturned the unit whilst this was exposed and it stayed right where it was. There was another screen on top of the ultra fine one. Then the small retention T-ring . Then another screen and finally the large T-ring.

Question.. Is it Ok to cycle the unit back the way through its temps.. By this I mean from blue(minus button) straight to red? Or vice versa?

@lazylathe.. At a certain point your unit looks kinda gold.. Then it changes. Cool. A colour changing finish would be sahweet!

i cycle back through the temps never seemed to make any difference. I always shortcut blue to red.

Cheers. I have kinda got the timing absolutely perfect for the change up and down right through the temps.
A Heineken and a basket!
Bliss.

I'm curious in the herbie whip for the MV, does it provide extra cooling compared to a regular, see-through silicone whip?
