Yeah, I'm very familiar with the Plenty. And it's funny you say that because I decided to sell my fairly new Herbalizer on craigslist, I got $620 for it yesterday. And I'm planing on using the funds for a new Crafty and a used Plenty.

I'm looking through ebay for it because I don't see anyone selling it on here. I'm trying to be as careful as possible about it though, asking the seller for extra pics with certain angles of the main unit. I'm going to buy a new wear and tear kit for it so the other parts aren't important to me. I'm also thinking about waiting for Black Friday to get the Crafty. I wonder if any of the sites put up good deals.

Any way I'm planning on living like this soon. Wish me luck!

You made a lot of great points and I agree with you. I also think the reception for the Plenty would have been better if they came out with the portables back then and the Plenty was just coming out now. Because when they came out with the Volcano it set the standard for desktops so naturally everyone was waiting for them to do the same with portables, but instead we got the Plenty. What made it worse was that they were marketing it as a portable.

Nonetheless Storz & Bickel is the company that makes the best quality vaporizers in my opinion. Am I a fan boy for thinking that Storz & Bickel is clearly the best option? (unless you don't have the funds or you're not big on the idea of plastic oppose to glass, water-filtering, mods and such)

I can see how the Plenty could be considered an "herb hog" but with the use of its liquid pad and having the Crafty/Mighty to compliment it I feel it would provide an excellent range of usage. I know even with the liquid pad and just covering the surface area it uses a good amount of herbs, but sometimes I have to treat myself. Trust me, the Plenty makes those herbs worth the treat. :tup:

Thanks, yeah that was my impression, that they initially presented the Plenty as a portable. Now that I am re-visiting my assumptions about the Plenty, I see S&B currently calls it a hand-held as opposed to a desktop, but now they are not calling it a portable.

I never saw anything from S&B saying the Plenty was a portable. If a vape runs on AC it's not a portable. That's both an industry standard and common sense. If one or more dealers were advertising it as a portable, shame on them, but if it needs AC it's not a portable and if S&B ever even hinted at portability then shame on them too.

I've seen it marketed as portable, but you're right it might have not come from Storz & Bickel directly. I don't honestly don't remember, but I'll definitely give them benefit of the doubt and assume it wasn't from them. But if it wasn't from them that just shows how big the anticipation was for a portable from them. Which lends to my main point, which was that if they have dropped these portables way back then and the Plenty was just coming out now it would have gotten a better reception. But either way, Storz & Bickel are number 1 for me.

About the Plenty being a hog...I've stumbled into a method that works well with ANY amount of material when using the Plenty.

First, because I'm a cheapo, I decided to pass on S&B replacement screens. I found a deal on eBay for 1.25" screens $11.50 for 100. S&B screens are a little bit smaller than this standard size, so I trim them slightly. Roughly, I'm removing about 1/8" of material from the diameter.

I then place each screen in place allowing for a convex shape. Both screens are placed in this way causing them to fit together like "two spoons" on top of each other. This acts in the same way as using the liquid pad because it simply "squeezes" the material in place, keeping it from shifting, etc. I use this method exclusively now with no need for the liquid pad. I can vape literally any amount and it works GREAT! Pics are below for clarification...Hope this helps someone else better enjoy this great vape!


This is the bottom^^^Just showing from this direction to make the convex shape more visible. Normally, it would be right side up so the piece in the top pic can rest inside to sandwich the material

I don't see it marketed as a portable, but is often and always marketed as a handheld (vs desktop)... often I see people (buyers) in stores automatically make the assumption and jump to the conclusion that handheld=portable. That is often buyers inaccurate assumption, but also IMO greedy salespersons and shop owners that know better and still don't bother to make the clarification to unknowing and presumptuous buyers.

Only a couple of weeks ago I was a spliff smoker, pretty much non stop for the past 15 years (only in the night though). On top of that I was smoking cigarettes a fair bit for longer than that. Needless to say recently I started to feel very unhealthy, and I made the switch to e cigs only 3 weeks ago. A week later I bought a Plenty to get rid of the joints too.

I'm not experienced at all in gaping- thank you auto correct, I mean vaping- I tried a Volcano once when I was already high as fuck from smoking, and I wasn't impressed by the Pax I also tried once. But I remembered reading about the Plenty and thinking it would be a good idea to get one a while back. So I got it on impulse. THEN I discovered this forum :)

At first I didn't like it. But I was hitting it wrong, not keeping an eye on the temps. Next day it clicked with me, and I was like WOW. This is awesome! For me it's not really inefficient in what it does. I packed the bowl and it seemed to go on forever with nice clouds and flavour. I don't have scales to measure but the bowl holds enough to fill a king size slim Rizla. So it's made no difference in my consumption compared to my smoking. I am finding vaping more intense, and the Plenty does fuck me up proper :)

BUT I will say you get the most out of it when you vape it all in one go, rather than letting it go cold then heating it up. I felt I had to change my habit from smoking a bit, where I'd like to smoke over the space of 1-2 hours. Full bowl lasts me 30-40 mins roughly, but I am taking more puffs than with smoking, I mean way more. There is this nagging feeling that you have to keep puffing though, because that material is being cooked and is not going in your lungs :)

After finding this place, and discovering the plethora of devices on offer, I did a lot of reading and now I have acquired a severe case of VAS. As other sufferers are fully aware, you find as many valid reasons as possible for purchasing a new vape as possible despite spending all your money. So three days ago I got a Mighty as well. Now had I known about the Mighty in the first place I probably would've just bought that to be honest. It really is the dog's bollocks, and I can wander around the house with it.

But I will hang on to the Plenty, as it is just that bit better in getting me absolutely smashed. Probably because of the amount of weed you can pack. My tolerance is way high. When I'm in the mood to just get fucked up (which is pretty often) I will use the Plenty. But the Mighty is going to be my main vape as I find my material does last a lot longer when I use it. I'm liking how I can do multiple small bowls throughout the evening and maintain a high.

I would agree with the general consensus in this thread- top quality, excellent vapour, made to last, lovely taste (without having tried glass). But really best for groups or the most hardened of potheads. And it is definitely not a sexy looking device in the slightest.

Now, can someone please explain why I am now looking at the Cloud Evo? I just have this urge to try every vape there is! Arrrrgggh!

I registered here because I recently bought the Plenty. It's my first vaporizer. I smoked for 15 years and am amazed at this discovery :) I've been using it for a little over a month now.

I'm delighted to learn of your technique. I haven't been using my Plenty (probably 6 months or more) because of the amount of herb required. I did try the liquid pad suggestion but it's been so long I don't remember why I gave up on it -- the Plenty, that is. I have been using a log vape since then. This has me interested in giving Plenty another go.

When you wrote "I then place each screen in place" are you referring to the original Plenty screen plus one from your stock from Ebay? Again, thanks for sharing your technique. :tup:

I replace the original Plenty screens with the 1.25" (purchased off ebay). They must be trimmed slightly as previously noted (not too much though or you won't have enough curvature).

I stumbled on this method after 'under trimming' 1.25" screens. I was too lazy to re-trim one day so just made them work by allowing the curvature. That accident improved my usage. Both fit like that since i trim three or four at a time while stacked on top of each other to save time.

Hey this post got me to try the method he is describing. So I bought some 1.25" sized screens online but I just got an email saying that they're refunding me because they're out of stock. So I started thinking of other ways I could keep the herbs in the middle and not spreading around the wide surface area with the liquid pad on top.

And I came up with putting a thin layer of herbs in the middle (just thick enough to cover the screen) and little pure cotton around it with the liquid pad on top. I plan on testing it out sometime this weekend, but I've never used cotton and read that some people use cotton for using concentrates with the Plenty and some other vapes. I figure I should use 100% cotton, but does anyone have any other tips?

Hey, so I tried the cotton theory I mentioned above (Sorry for the double post admins, the edit option disappeared)

I put a thin layer of herbs, with same thickness I'd normally use with the oil pad on top, expect only in the middle with a ring of cotton around it. I made the ring of cotton just as thin as the layer of herbs so that the oil pad would compress the herbs and cotton evenly.

Basically the Plenty's oven is deep and wide, this is what makes it such a hog. And just as the oil pad decreases the depth, the ring of cotton I used decreases its width. This allows you to use the Plenty with any amount you want because you can adjust the size of the ring of cotton.

I used a quarter of a cotton ball and just formed the ring shape around the oven, leaving space in the middle for the herbs. Then I just put the grounded up herbs in the middle and put the oil pad on top as usually. I didn't get to weight the herbs but it was about .1, if that. It was vaped extremely even and performed excellent as just it usually does, just with less material. This was extremely easy and has been a huge game changer for me. The makes the Plenty a lot more dynamic! I recommend all Plenty owners to give it a try.

the plenty is incredible - signed up just to say that after all my research i decided it was the transition from smoking - so glad i did - stick with it for 7 days and you will never look back

after the initial bump it is cleaner highs, less weed money and better health.

I got mine a few days ago and at first i didn't really like it.

For the hell of it i tried connecting my solo stem to my coil/plenty and wow this tiny mod
makes the vapor much smoother, removes any need to prime the plenty and creates clouds
way quicker without having to pull nearly as much. (i think the screen's draw resistance helps to do this)

If you have one lying around give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Have picked some great info up in this thread about connections with glass pieces - noobish question, is there a general consensus for what works best? Or is it fairly open?

I'm going to the local store today to pick something up but worry that the staff won't have the same knowledge as the Plenty users here ;)

Hi every one,

Glad to join the community. I red all the topic, thanks for your reviews, here is mine.

After a year of volcano daily use i wanted something silent and as i am very happy with it except for the noise i decided to stay in the same firm and went to Storz & Bickel website to buy the plenty but what was my surprise to find the crafty ! So i took both :rockon:

I got the plenty this morning and the crafty will arrive tomorrow.

So it's clearly an another thing than the volcano, i tested it all day.

For the taste the plenty is better than the cano but the cano is better for the quantity of vapor. The taste is so fresh with the plenty... You are inside the flower :leaf: So good :D

Certainly because its a lot more concentrated than in the ballon mixed with the air so you lose flavor with the volcano.

I didn't find diference in taste or difficulty to vap with or witout the pad, i was afraid to have more resistance with it when aspiring, so for the moment i use it..

Each vap has his pros and cons finally..

The sessions are shorter with plenty as it vaporise it so fast.. And it hits too.. The high is good, the same as the cano. :tup:

But after a day with the plenty i want to say that i miss the volcano with his long session with big clouds thanks to the ballons. I find that the plenty makes herb almost disappear.. Some folks said plenty is a pork with herb i understand them, it is vaporasing so fast that you want to take other rides just after you finish one because of the taste so delicious.. With the plenty its preferable to have unlimited herb. :lol:

A plenty day is 2g, a volcano day is 1g. You could use also 1g in the plenty and be destroyed as you would be with the cano but that so divine taste that the plenty delivers in that very too short moment in one session will make you use an another gram to get it again :rofl:

A plenty session takes 5 minutes, a volcano session 15 minutes.

I noticed that the material is much darker with plenty than the cano for same temperature at the end session.

To conclude i would say use plenty when you want maximum taste in less time with silence and use volcano when you want to take your time and enjoy a good flavor but not the best one with big clouds and some noise for an equivalent high at the end.

Plus the crafty and you are fine with all vap situations :nod:

Same story with myself, the plenty was able to replace my bongs. I was a heavy smoker it's nice to find a vape that gets you as medicated as the ol' bong hits. I would never trade my Plenty I chose it over the Cloud EVO as I found the EVO felt very cheap and I loved the hits from the Plenty far more even with just the regular cooling coil. I tried the EVO with the standard dry mouth peice and the water tube, neither compared to how the Plenty hit me. Happy Holidays!

To be more precise after some tests, to have longer session put the plenty at 5 and then finish at 7. Directly at 7 herb is used too fast... Habits from volcano to use at high temp without moving it.. With plenty you have to change temp to save herb and have more longer session.

I received my crafty, perfect object as usual with S&B.

Hang on to the plenty. Mighty is great but I find the bowl too small. I like long sessions, and mighty is so efficient that I get a good buzz on one bowl (but finished in 5 mins) but never smashed. I want to own a plenty, but hoping price drops to 250, but vas will get me to buy it eventually. There are times when I need to be functional and 1 bowl on mighty does it well, but there are other times I want to get plastered and relax watching tv.

Hello yall. I just purchased a lighty used plenty. I cleaned it well. Is thier anyway to take the screen out of the unit to clean it? The bowl and the stem were nasty. I've only owned portables and I just tried the plenty for the first time. Any tips ? Thanks
