My recent trend this week has been to hit my nano through the D020 without water, I feel it provides a good airflow that delivers great hits.

In other news: Here is a little milk shot of some Purple Diesel through the nano at 7 with my M&M double lattice. Plan to upload a better quality video later but am feeling lazy right now. https://gfycat.com/DefiantAgileBanteng

Happy friday! after a rough couple of weeks I am looking forward to chilling out with the e-nano this weekend

Anyone else go dry stem all the time?
While not all the time I will say that I defiantly prefer to go dry! When I am vaping concentrates at higher temps I will often use water in an attempt to cool the vapor.
I do fancy the orbiter but IMO the flavour suffers greatly through water.
I agree with this completely, though the orbiter has very little diffusion and an extremely small volume, compared to say my Mobius 60t, so the flavor is impacted nowhere near as greatly.

I tried that but I feel the resistance of the water helps me pace my hit. Without water I suck too fast and run out of breath too quick. Maybe I just need more practice.

Somewhat less flavour at the beginning. IMO the benefit is towards the end when I would normally stop using the stem, I take the GonG further because of less pronounced harsh flavours that water provides.

Don't get me wrong, I love using my stems. I just can't stop thinking about the dust that makes it through the screen and into my mouth/throat/lungs.

I'm about 50/50 anymore. Dry is so much easier and less work in the end, but I sure do love white walling my GB-187.

To prevent the finer bits of ground plant matter from going through the screen into your mouth/lungs, you can put another brass screen about an inch below the main basket screen (closer to the mouthpiece end) to help catch whatever falls through. You should notice a small bunch of particles between the two screens after a while, and much much less further down the tube passed the second screen. If you keep it clean, it doesn't add much resistance at all, and it isn't annoying. Would even consider adding third screen if using a finer grind, or buying a pack of finer screens and just use one in addition to the basket screen.

This looks like it might work well too. Just enough cotton to catch the plant bits.

I have been using cotton filters in my glass mouthpiece tubes for about a week now with very good success. You can see from the photo how much it filters out. Very similar to a cigarette filter. The best part about it is that you can take the dirty cotton filter and place it in the roasting tube so that the oil can be re-volatilized again. I have gotten hits bigger than I have had by dabbing from roasting the dirty cotton. It gets so concentrated on the cotton and seems to work better than just cleaning the tubes with cotton / alcohol. The cotton fibers don't get all matted down so the air flows through it better.
I place just enough cotton so that it will stay in place, but not enough to hinder the air flow all that much. I'm not sure what size oil droplets get through, but the larger ones get trapped in the cotton. If only the smaller droplets get through, then they should have a better chance of getting deeper into your lungs. There must be a way to measure the size of the droplets. Maybe with a laser.
They do make a very fine fiber from hemp that would probably work just as well as cotton.
The cotton filter should work on many different vaporizers. Don't position the cotton too close to the heat source or you will just volatilize the oil rather than filtering it. When the air flow gets poor, it is time to change the cotton filter. I always look forward to that.
Wax / oil wrapped in cotton works very well too.

After about a year reading thru FC getting my knowledge up I think im gonna make the E-Nano my long-term house vape. I parted ways with my 4 year old vapor bro box this summer since it was collecting dust while I used the hammer and pnp. I'm going definitely pick up some exotic off @Snappo and make this a classy unique unit.

My question is what accessories would u experienced nano users suggest? I would to aleast get one wood stem from Ed for sure. Some kind of 14mm gong or maybe Wong. And not sure what stem to order from epic? The only other thing I could thing was a stand to hold everything safe.

Any input would awesome I keep feeling like there is something obvious im missing. While I save up some doe I just wanted to get ahead of the game and make sure I kno exactly what I need.

Thanks

Go adjust-a-stem. There's only one size, from Epicvape. I'd get both sizes of adjust-a-gong, but that's because I use the 18mm more than the 14mm...but it's good to have options!

I recommend one backup for whichever one you think you'll use the most.

The enano comes with a glass stem with an adjustable basket screen. You might want one more of those, or a pack of 5 depending on how often you want to clean them. Also, a pack of fine brass screens to put a second screen in the tube like I suggested to someone else, to prevent plant bits from getting inhaled.

Also, if you have a water pipe, you'll want a gong adjust-a-bowl from the epicvape site. Theyre made specifically for the enano. They come in 14 and 19(apparently that's the same as the 18mm)

I do. I have a extra screen placed right before the mouthpiece.

But if this is what it catches, what makes it through???

I think keeping it closer to the first screen, about an inch or two away might work better, because anything that does happen to get through will have a longer path of sticky glass to have to pass through. A little flat piece of cotton across the second screen would provide even more filtration, but it might change the vapor density/flavor. Haven't tried it yet.

You could always put two extra screens. each an inch apart. It would probably stop almost all but the thirst particles, but you might want to do an ISO shake in the tube every day or two if using three screens, to prevent buildup of resin causing resistance.

Although I know people are using the e-nano with concentrates using various forms of screen/cotton/etc support, I've come across some very high grade black tar hash. Has anybody been able to vaporize something like a traditional hash instead of a modern solvent extraction full melt wax/oil?

No problem. I get high quality hash from Morocco regularly and that's very soft and oily too.
My nano handles it really well. I usually sandwich it between two layers of flowers - I prefer this to the cotton method.

Seems to vape forever...

Most prob won't like my method lol but this is what I use to vape my concentrates with my nano.

I also have a dedicated GonG for my concentrates. I use the all glass honeycomb gong. I put a small piece of cotton (wick from haze vaporizer) in the gong then I put a piece of the volcano concentrate pad on top. I made the pad concaved to hold the concentrates. The draw is restricted but it's enough for a slow draw to let milk up nice. Also next to nothing is wasted from falling through.

Thanks for the encouraging advice and methods for handling a soft pressed hash. I can't wait until Monday or so when my e-nano arrives to start playing with it. I'm working on setting up a very nice little vaping corner in the living room where I can sit and relax, as I haven't had to consider a power cord up until now.

@Melting Pot Sadly I'm a broke ass 25 year old in Pittsburgh no shatter haha just flowers which has been rather nice lately (knock on wood) Ill have to talk with @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd probably would like some nice glass. As far as water piece I have the pnp wt and a d020 I wasn't planning on new glass unless there is some cheap Chinese glass that would be better then the d020 for the nano?

I appreciate everyone's feed back I can't wait to start piecing together this vape

I'd look into a carb'd stem from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd - I hate ABV blowback (kinda crazy OCD about it) so the Carb stem from him works perfectly (I use my Kraken Tentacle stem daily, love it!! )

But I actually rather enjoy the D020 with the Nano - it's a nice combo

Well my night has just took a turn for the worst. I reached for my nano, which was turned up to 8, only to be presented with a cold block of wood. This was not the first time this had happened but usually I just unplug and replug her back in. But, unfortunately, that was not the case this time. Ive unplugged it in a million different places in my house and a million different combinations but still nothing. The light is on still, but no heat, if I have to send her back I of course understand, but I hope that I don't have to. Anyone got any ideas???
