Magic Flight Launch Box - Read good things

I get paid on Thursday, have been reading about the Magic Flight Launch Box and was thinking of buying one on payday. Does anyone have one, use it regularly and have a valid opinion? Any opinion really would be nice. I would like to know, I make decent change and have no real cost restrictions but this specific device is intriguing.

A side question, which would bring into the relevance of no cost restrictions, what is (in your opinion) the best vape available on the market right now?

MFLB would be my last choice. I never found messing with a handful of batteries and poor efficiency very appealing. Like most it was my first vape but after a couple weeks I hated it. I don't know what the "best" is but I do like the Flowermate and it is about the same price.

The best in what way? Unless you specify, there's no answer to that. You may as well ask 'what's the best vehicle I can buy?'. No answer there unless you specify what you want to do with it.

Really? I can name quite a few I'd definitely rate lower (even assuming the MF weak points are major for you), including a few that would, unlike the MF, be a hazard to your health. I've used the MF a lot and never had to carry a handful of batteries (since I don't go camping, etc.), and it can be extremely efficient. Apparently you never took the time to master the LB.

Why? It has its strong points, including an unbeatable warranty, but it's hard to give advice when you don't say what features you value in a vape.

Your experience in no way reflects my own. At most I've brought 2 batteries and usually only use one. The mflb is also one of the most efficient vaporizers around. Don't blame the mflb if you failed to figure out how to use it

I have a vapor genie, mflb, and an imag+. (Spell check image+)

I like the image+ best I think. I had the VG and mflb for about 3 years and just recently got the imag. I feel like i wasn't getting the full vape experience with the mflb and VG. Everywhere I read about the mflb people jump to defend it. I wouldn't say its a bad vape, but I do think its over hyped. If you expect to get the power adapter for the mflb I would just say buy something else to begin with. I paid 130+ 80? For all my mflb stuff not including extra batteries. I wish I didn't. I either get very little vapor or get a lot of vapor that tastes bad.... Bad like worse than combusting (this is my current experience with it it wasn't like that from the being?). To me it would be good as a backup vape. Its main benefit to me was the ease of single hits...
You need to be good with cleaning (I never was, which is probably part of the reason it tastes bad to me) and you should follow the preparation methods for grinding and drying your stuff along with trench load size. Take good care not to combust etc. I plan on seeing if I can warranty mine...and then taking better care of it or selling it.

The VG would be nice with a torch lighter but mine is currently lost in transit from DX.

My image+ is so much easier to use... I bought it just to experiment with... If I was looking to buy a portable vape and had the cash it would be one of the more popular ones... (Crafty, solo, etc)

I wish I had gotten a solo for my first vape.

I don't mean to come off as a ass in this post... Just my 2cents... I could expand more but my tablets touch screen sucks.

I guess the message is before you buy think long term.

PS ... I know how to use the mflb... That always comes up when people complain about it.

Edit. Both the VG and mflb never made it as a daily driver for me. I used the the mflb in spurts a few months on and off...

Desktops included or only portable?

Desktops:
E-Nano (uses so little bud for clouds, can be left on for hours on end, made in the USA, temp control)
Volcano (temp control, quality engineering/materials, bags are tasty and super easy on the lungs/throat, as foolproof as it gets with the Easy-Valve Kit) <-most haters of the volcano tend to dislike bag-style / non-all-glass-air-path vapes in general

Portables:
No2 (digital temp control, with a pack of extra brass screens [can be any fine screens so you don't have to buy more No2 screens] you can turn this vape into a pretty good conserver too, can be used while charging even if the battery is removed so you don't waste it at home)


When set to a decent temp and used normally, you shouldn't combust with any of the above vapes.

Something about having to manually control the application of heat seems way to inaccurate to be comfortable for me. Especially as a first vape.

I've found that the MFLB is VERY efficient. With it's ability to instantly apply and remove the heat, how could it not be? Also, I can get 15 hits from one battery so I never had to mess around with a handful of batts.

The VG was my very first vape and I was able to produce HUGE vapor clouds at will that got me totally blitzed. The only thing I didn't like about it is it had a slight woody taste. The MFLB is in constant rotation with my LSV. Oh, one more thing. I've been vaping for 6 years and have owned multiple vapes, so this is coming from someone who not only has had a lot of experience with vaporizers but someone who has also had decades experience with smoking bud.

Now I'm not trying to invalidate your experiences, but rather, just adding another perspective here.

Edit: Gotta add one more thing. I hated my MFLB until.............I got their Finishing Grinder. THAT made all the difference in the world.........for me.

I must have had a faulty MFLB because I hated mine. It seemed like a toy used by kids vaping underneath their bed covers. I complained to the company but they never helped me. I was really glad when my brother lost it, probably the nicest thing he has ever done for me.

Edit: Pressing in the battery for me was painful because of my arthritis.

That's all I meant when I said good with cleaning. That you need to be persistent with it. That's something to think about if ones (which was pretty much my case) comeing from a combustion pipe that doesn't have to be cleaned often.

Don't get me wrong both mflb are good but the don't fit me personally for a daily driver. The VG does get crazy hits... But It was always different trying to hit it depending on how on how nfull nthe lighter was and the load size. I don't always like getting "blazed" and small loads were difficult for me with the VG. It might be different with the new model with the closer ceramic piece.
I think a torch lighter would help with getting more consistent hits...

Even when I had both of those vape I woud still often opt to vape with a "one hitter" and a lighter. Sweet puff style. The tastes was cleaner than both. The bad this is that it looks like you vaping something else, lol

The concept of vaping is pretty simple... Along with draw techniques...

The mflb compared to some other vapes is like comparing Linux to iOS.
Oddly enough I use Linux as my daily driver haha.

Thought of another one! To me the mflb would be like texting with a an old cellphone, while a solo (I haven't used one) or something like it would be like using a smart phone.

The mflb does exactly what its made to do and does it exactly how its made to do it... Not trying to say it doesn't.

I never clean my mflb and two batteries will get me from before school until after work..
My VGs were my portable ass kickers. Until I got my vapman. Now my vapman kicks my ass everywhere I go.

Lots of great things to say about my MFLB. It was not my first vape (I'd owned two others previously) but it was the first one to actually make me say, "oh yeah, I like this! I could almost see myself giving up combustion completely."

The pros of the MFLB for me are:

1. I love the design/construction! It has a handmade, organic, small-batch vibe that really appeals to me.
2. Amazing stealth and portability.
3. Efficient in terms of reducing my herb budget.
4. Instant heat up/cool down, perfect for puffing on the go.
   
5. Can be used for concentrates with optional tray.

I've also recently purchased an Arizer Solo, and I have to say, it blows the MFLB away in these specific areas:

1. Faster delivery of the medicine. It takes me about 4x as long to get vaked with my MFLB as compared to the Solo, which gives much bigger hits. It takes me 5 minutes sipping on the MFLB to get the same effect as 1 monster vape-bong hit with the Solo.
   
2. Flavor: the Solo is the hands-down winner in this department at all but the hottest temps.
   
3. Battery life.
   
4. MFLB is great for one person, but awkward for sharing with friends who've never used it before. Whereas when I passed the Solo around at a party this weekend, everybody loved the thing and intuitively figured out how to hit it, without my assistance.

So, in conclusion, to answer your question, MFLB is a great little vape, I love mine, and I highly recommend it as a one-person stealth/travel vape. But I would also encourage you to check out the Solo as well, especially if you are a frequent vaper and/or like to have sessions with your friends.

Wanted to start by simply saying thank for everyone who took the time to read and even more so to those who responded. I realize that I left the question open-ended but I'm glad I did because I now realize the amount of variables I'm dealing with. It's not my first vape but it might as well be, I have a low-quality Extreme-Q that is pretty dirty. It's all I've been using lately but I feel as though I'm robbing myself of a true-vape experience; which is what I wanted the MFLB for.

I guess now that I've read what considerations I need to make; portable would be cool but not necessarily mandatory, however, none of my friends vape and I won't smoke anymore (fucks with my sinuses). Heat up time doesn't matter as I talk a lot and don't have any problem with patience. I never rush my sessions they are always based on pure relaxation; heat up time is definitely cool in my books. I guess consistency would be absolutely key, paired with accuracy and that would sum it up. The most consistent, pure, and precise.

This thread certainly complicated the decision, the deeper I get into the research the more amazing pieces I find.

I'm thinking of hanging onto the idea of getting an MFLB but maybe later on down the road. If it's true experience I'm after I don't want to possibly botch this mission with user error (I can see myself fucking it up). There is quite a bit of appeal with the wood, handmade look, very groovy with plenty of different carvings to choose from. Noted that I would want a finishing grinder to go with it, which is definitely understandable because it's a good idea.

Thank you guys for all your help. I have about 10 open tabs right now to different vape sites, which led me to even more vape sites.

I think I'm going to get a Pax by Ploom. Haven't seen anything negative about this piece yet.

Pax is high maintenance and you need to use mods if you want small loads. Other than that, I liked mine! Got rid of it because I hated cleaning it. But good vape nonetheless!
