Expedited Shipping (USPS) and can tell how long it took to get there? The estimate is 3-5 days, but I'm skeptical. Basically, I want it to arrive within a general timespan of 3-4 days and am wondering how long it takes on average.

USPS expedited shipping is more than likely Priority Mail, and that is guaranteed to arrive in 5 days, or less.

dry hit (leave the battery out and draw fairly hard it should pull all those things free then slow your draw to get everything to dump in the middle (takes some practice but you will get the idea after you give it a try)

Hey FC, first time poster here. I'm thinking about buying an MFLB, and I want to get a package with at least a grinder or maybe something else included. I've been looking on eBay because they take paypal and seem to be some pretty decent packages. I'm looking at these two:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Magic-Flight-La...054?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb1f29a46

http://cgi.ebay.com/Magic-Flight-La...993?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51972cf949

Anyone got any recommendations? They both seem to be pretty reputable sellers, and are essentially the same exact deal (MFLB, 2 extra batteries, and grinder) at the same price ($99). Which one do you think is better?

Thanks.

my friends have bought theirs from the first seller and I from vapeworld (the second seller) and if you care about what wood the box is made out of vapeworld seems to have the maple (at least im pretty sure thats what mf changed the wood to) box's which are a noticeably darker than the lightly colored birch box's that the gotvape sells. Just google what birch and maple naturally look like , or go off the pictures they have which are pretty accurate(the vw one looks a little lighter in person as it says under the picture), and make the decision yourself.

As for the grinders the acrylic one vapeworld sends works well ,for an acrylic grinder, but im assuming the chromium one works better but still does not grind fine enough for the lb, i couldnt tell you for sure though because i have not used my friends yet.

edited: added info about wood

Vaporgin.,
I got my Power Adapter in the mail today, and just landed from my first test flight with it. Now my MFLB is complete with the addition of the PA. I can save the batteries for my daily walks and other adventures, while plugging in the PA with friends or before I throw on a movie.

As for the functionality of the Adapter it self I am extremely satisfied. It looks good and feels good too. I love the the little power activation push button on the back and the way you hold the handle of the adapter instead of the box itself. The unit is far more powerful with the PA, so be careful on your first inhale it could be hotter and heavier than expected. This is the most satisfied I've ever been with a product. I look forward to years of healthy, smoke-free flights. The old glass piece is retired and the wooden piece is my new trusty steed ;)

Hello, I just wanted some opinions on the MFLB. Obviously it gets good reviews, but I have had Da Buddha hooked up to my bong for years and do not want to be disappointed. I found a killer deal on the MFLB, since I do not care about a grinder I found it for $75 bucks with shipping. I figured I could buy the PA later if I really wanted to. But that would be a total of about $140. For a few more bucks I could get the EQ or the HA. I like the idea of being portable, but since I will be using Da Buddha most of the time at home...do I need the PA? Anyone who has used or owns the MFLB and one of the other Vapes I mentioned please chime in. Thanks for the advice!!!:peace:

Alright well I just got the PowerEx batteries I ordered on Amazon on the 31st. They came today and just as I expected they had glue. After a little goo-gone and some elbow grease they feell just like the stock ones. So I guess they are shipping them with glue.

On another note, I am just wondering why you have to peel the cover off the batteries? I am just curious.

The Batteries Plus near my house had the Powerex batteries with no glue!
Charging them up right now and then it's off to the moon.

the peeled part of the body is the negative contact point, the same thing as the non-nippled end of the batt, and is needed to complete the circuit.

thank you for your insight. Is it possible that my plexi-glass cover is not tight enough? Do all of you use the rubber bands? Or is there something better?

Yes, that's possible. Does it slide around easily (sans rubber bands, of course)? The metal piece that holds it in place may not have been inserted far enough to ensure a tight fit. I never use the rubber bands and have no problem with herb getting stuck. You may want to contact Magic Flight as this would be covered by warranty, or maybe you could try to push the metal piece further into the wood for a snugger fit.

I purchased the LB and I received it a few days ago. Unfortunately I didn't know about the Maple version as I received the Birch model.

I have a couple of questions. First, I saw a video on YouTube where a guy was using a power adapter. Does anyone know if it's available for purchase and, if so, where? Second, the guy was exhaling visible vapor, lots of it. When I use my LB I very rarely see the slightest hint of visible vapor. Which is normal? I still feel the effects of vaporizing but I sometimes wonder since I always seek visible vapor with everyone of the other vaporizers I've ever used. On the one hand, I kind of like the discretion factor instead of blowing lots of vapor. On the other hand, I really feel like I should be able to see a lot of vapor.

Also, my LB came with a TENERGY AA/AAA Quick Charger. How long is it supposed to take for the batteries to get charged. I'm also wondering if I can use it with my power inverter that has a plug socket on one side and the car lighter adapter on the other side. I want to have batteries ready to go when I go fishing with my friends as we try to be out as much and for as long as we can.

Or should I purchase this battery charger and batteries. Someone here recommended:

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/-MAHA-MH-C204F-DC-AA-AAA-SMART-BATTERY-CHARGER_p_923.html

with Powerex batteries. Are they good?

I am also not sure what the higher mAh reading means. I got the impression from one website that it means the battery charge lasts longer but I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me.

Sorry for all the questions folks. I've been a long time smoker and I only recently got my own vape (desk and the LB). Have to say, I'll always elect to vape if I can from now on.

Thanks!

On a Permanent Vakation
Hello all. I am planning on purchasing a MfLB in the next day or so. I have been doing some research and have determined that extra batts will be a must for me...that being said, i browsed this thread, and found a pst that i believe was by chucku, but i cant be sure. Their post referenced to three links for charger/battery combos for another user. Out of the three I determined i would like to purchase the following; http://www.thomasdistributing.com/-MAHA-MH-C204F-DC-AA-AAA-SMART-BATTERY-CHARGER_p_923.html

And i wanted to make sure that this charger/battery combo would not only work well with the MfLB and stock batts that come with it, but that it is a decent charger....

Any info or input on the situation is greatly appreciated!

Happy vaping :peace:

Here's a straightforward question. What is the primary advantage(s) with the non-stock batts and chargers? After all, the ones from MFLB work.

The other batts provide more power at once? Or last longer? Recharge faster? These other battery / charger combos are almost 1/2 the price of the original MFLB kit, which already includes batts and charger.

Thanks for opinions. I don't mind the expense, but this seems like a tweak rather than a quantum leap in performance.

You will end up buying. In the beginning, the stocks batts/charger work fine. Over time they get worn out. Powerex batteries run much hotter, last longer. And the upgraded charger will keep them at their peak by fully discharging your batts and charging them up to full capacity.

2700's will give you a nice step up

If you want a "Quantum Leap in Performance" ya gotta go with the PA. I think anyone who's hit it will agree

You're gonna spend basically the same amount on a good charger/2700's as you would the PA (if not more). I haven't used batts since I got the PA. It goes in the car so the fact of being tethered to a cord is not an issue regarding portability.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll stick with the stock batt system until they start to weaken. I'm looking for portability so the PA isn't something I want at this time.

Thanks again!

The PA is in beta testing; the production version won't be available for a few weeks. You can get a beta PA at:

Visible vapour is wasted vapour. The LB is designed to work efficiently with little visible vapour, and that's how I prefer to use it. If you feel the need, however, you can get clouds by using the proper technique. Basically, you need to pre-heat a little longer and inhale more slowly. Here's one popular method:

Many of us, including me, feel that Powerex 2700 mAH batteries are the best for the LB. mAH is a capacity measurement so yes, they last longer. There is a consensus that they also deliver more power, but I'm not enough of a battery geek to know whether that is fact or just an impression.

pakalolo,
I am two days into using my new PA and I have a couple of questions:

1) I seem to always get visible vapor when using the PA. Any suggestions from you PA users on how to get a 'cleaner' or more efficient vape when using the PA?

2) I've noticed that right below the screen on the inside of the MFLB, the wood seems to be turning brown (burning maybe?) is that normal?

1. Turn the dial down....take shorter hits...

2. That's resin. It's normal and should never affect the performence of your box. If it does then the warranty covers you.
