Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Glad you finally got a refund.

Yeah he is. I just messaged him and said I'm going to file a dispute if they don't ship out by Monday (that's 2 weeks from my replacement order and almost a month from my first original order).

So he is halfway done right? That means he has 500 pieces? Why the fuck hasn't he sent out our replacements :hmm::bang:

Oh yeah I also finally got my dabbucino rig from CCG. Ordered it on 10/13, shipped 10/19, arrived 11/8. Slow slow slow... 26 days to get here but it is actually decent quality and exactly like the picture. Nice 2 hole perc, clean welds. A little thinner than 5mm, maybe 4mm for the can and 3.5mm for the mouthpiece. Similar body and mouthpiece thickness to the Sunshinestore inline to donut rig.

I'm lucky I actually got what I ordered from CCG. Rest assured I will never order anything from them again though. They do not deserve FCs business since they have screwed over so many people here.
He claims that he anneals the entire lot at one time, so the finished ones aren't technically done yet. Could be true, could be a lie. I guess time will tell.

@OvaDaBong check out the DHgate glass review thread.

I will say here that sunshine store seems to be number one. They are our original cheep bubbler source with the original D020. I also don't think I have ever heard of an unsatisfied customer from them. If there is ever any problems they are very quick to fix things and treat us with the upmost respect.

Tired for second place is Kathy and yingmin. They have both been used a bunch without much issues. In the past people apparently had problems with Kathy but she is awesome now.

I would give third place to Alina, BTOC jewelry, and and a couple other sellers that are newer but have sent us good glass. Please name any to add to this post.

SELLERS TO AVOID: Clean clear glass and Steven. Read back through the thread and you will see why

So the four arm tree perc from my busted bong wasnt able to be salvaged into a hydrotube, so I think I'm going to pick up a small tree perc bubbler instead for some variety from my inline honeycomb form Kathy. The question is which one from which of the big three?!

Does anybody have experience with two or more of these?

Sunshine 5 arm:

Yingmin 6 arm:
http://m.dhgate.com/product/bubbler-ash-catcher-small-glass-bong-glass/196590600.html#pd-019
Kathy 9 arm:
http://m.dhgate.com/product/9-arm-perc-glass-water-pipe-glass-bong-with/184550619.html#pd-019
And a little bigger but,
Kathy 10 arm:
http://m.dhgate.com/product/10-arm-percolator-glass-bong-waterpipe-with/190466833.html#pd-019

I don't know, I think id prefer the 10 arm without the base? Does the base just offer a little more protection against breaks? I've never been too crazy about them looks wise, and I'm usually pretty good, but does it make it that much more fragile?

Anyone bought that piece from Kathy? Was it base or baseless? In the pics it looks like she's got two versions of the baseless as well, so what version id you get? The mystery and the higher price is what's giving me pause, but it could be a really nice piece...

I was originally thinking I'd go smaller than my 9.5inch tall inline honeycomb from Kathy, so that's why I was asking about her, sunshine, and yigmin's small tree perc bubblers. Each one has a different number of arms and slightly different mouthpieces, and I wonder if there is any quality difference?

Kathy's is the cheapest, an has the most arms with 9 vs sunshine's 5 and yingmin's 6, but I don't know about the quality in that one bc the bigger 10arm looks much nicer (at least one of its variations...) and maybe too many arms in a small bubbler is bad? Sunshine's is the most expensive and has the least number of arms, but looks maybe the nicest? Yigmin looks decent but the mouthpiece is rather straight when I'd prefer it to be more curved for sherlocking...

Such tough decisions, anyone else with any of these (or a similar) tree perc bubbler?

Hey Hey,

I have from Sunshine's the 5 arms bubbler, the 11 arms and 5 arms Ashcatcher in 14 and 18 and from Yingmin5 the 6 arms bubbler and to be honest I have not used them for ages, when I started into glass I bought lots of A/C and small bubblers to experiment on the cheap :) What I realized is that I was not a lover of arms percs used on their own, although they provide a low drag percolation I'm not a fan. But anyway I've just tried them and between 5 and 11 arms, although they are very similar, the 11 arms offers more diffusion obviously, a structured pull if you compare it to the more chaotic pull and displacement of water of the 5 arms in the same volume can. It is also interesting the difference between the A/C 14 and 18, with the entry and exit been different that changes again the deal, the narrower down-stem of the 14.5mm offers a quieter and less chuggier than the 18.8mm and more uniform in a way. By the way I had them all on a table and really tried them next to each other in order to find those nuances because that's what they are. And finally I can not notice ANY differences between the 5 arms and 6 arms bubbler much too close in comparison.

Hope that helps a little

:peace:

Thanks @oli I think it does, it helps me at least rule out the sunshine and yingmin bubblers, since they're so similar and the Kathy one is the same size but with 9 arms, and only $20...
I think I should stick with 18mm since I already have a reducer and my other bubbler is 18mm. Makes getting gongs easier.

So now I still have questions on the Kathy 10 arm.

Anyone have dimensions on that one? Looks to be an oil rig and too small for my uses...

Edit: I see that the title is a link, sorry. The box dimensions suggest pretty small (box height 22cm) but the description (which does include height) doesn't seem to match anyway (9 Arm percolator and honey comb 19mm glass bong glass water pipe clear)

So, I guess we will have to wait until someone gets one (or 20).

Yesterday I was bored and decided to throw the GB-186-1 (the stereo matrix Mobius knockoff) on craigslist for shits and grins. Not even 6 hours later I had someone wanting to buy it. I had two other people hitting me up this morning about it but I had to tell them sale pending. It sold for $200 with more people in line willing to pay more.

I didn't list it as a Mobius, I just listed it as "Stereo Matrix perc Bubbler". The only extra thing I threw in was a domelss 18mm quartz nail. I honestly threw it on there expecting to get talked down and nobody would even bat an eye. But damn. I kind of want to take that money and order a few pieces I've been really wanting and order a few more to flip. I flipped my authentic Silika the other day for $120 and I had a line of people waiting to buy that one as well.

Part of me feels a little bit bad, and I don't know why. I've been buying broken computers/laptops for pennies on the dollar and making extreme profits for years. Local headshops have a much higher markup and they are usually very greedy about it. I would have negotiated no problem but the guy just threw me a stack of 20's. I wouldn't really be looking to turn this into a regular thing but it'd be pretty dope to order a handful of pieces every couple of weeks and keep what I like and flip the rest for small profit.

At the end of the day, even $200 for that piece will get you more than any LHS.

This is exactly what I plan on doing with my extra glass. If I can make a little money to fund the hobby, there's nothing wrong with that.

Uhhh for $19 I'm ordering one. Fuck it. Even though I already own one. That's a steal for a D020.

Edit - Maybe not after reading what BOBCAT is saying.. haha.

So stevenlmz79 is still fucking me around.. I'm done playing games.. The tracking ID he sent me is going to Melbourne... I don't live in Melbourne.. I've been very very patient but I don't believe he still hasn't sorted this out, he's just screwing me around. How do I lodge a dispute through dhgate?
