VapeDynamics. A recent knockoff of the FM V.

Another rebranded? FlowerMate.

@ > a C note, it is heftier than the price of the FM 5.0

SO-ooo many knockoffs, we may have hit on a winnah!

I don't think they are knock-offs per se. If you contact Smiss and order enough units, they can put your logo on them. This is called OEM.

:2c:

EDIT: well, some might be of course, you got to be careful! But sometimes even the shell can be customized, making it even harder to know what's going on.

Hello @vaporonly

Regarding the ceramic screens, I find them to be perfect for the Flowermate. You can use them as spacers at the bottom but I think they really come into their own if you put them on top. Pack in your herbal blend then add one or more ceramic screens. Although I'm no scientist, they seem to contribute to the "heat sink" effect cuz I feel the vapor density is thicker this way (although the bowl may finish a bit earlier) They also help prevent stuff getting caught up in the mouthpiece if you have removed the fine mesh screen which many of us seem to do.

I was puzzled by the "cannot be used in vaporizers" bit on the SSV website too. I think what they mean is that they don't fit in their vapes as screens. I got my glass flowers for the Ascent there and have been using both types of screens without any problems. You'll have to ISO soak the ceramic ones periodically.

I can give the ceramic screen a big thumbs up for use with the Flowermate.

Hi all i am new here and registered only to ask this question which i have not seen answered properly.

If one vaporises weed fully in flowermate 5.0 so he doesn't get high anymore of it and then vaporises same weed in flowermate v5.0s on its higher and highest temperature settings does he get high? And if he gets high what kind of high it is and how many times/how strong is that high. Basically i want to know how much of weed potency is wasted if using lower temperature settings on v.5.0?

For me effiency is all in all because illegality and cost.

Well-, come, & read, the answer is in this ( rather, yes ) long thread; in short, however, if you "X"-periment, the extraction process becomes more efficient with progressive, "HIGH"-er temps.

As for effect, it may be an individual experience, however, there is info here as well; other threads also, for the full spectrum, as a function of temperature (of course the real genie is in the NUG. wink-wink).

Thank you for getting back on this. I really appreciate it. I was thinking on top would be the best too...forcing the material down toward the bottom of the heater.

The puck method works pretty good but sometimes it still slides up the chamber and you can tell once it's not touching the bottom that the vapor production really dies off...The ceramic screens would hopefully prevent it from being able to slide up.

Hey @vaporonly Glad to be a help.

I sometimes put a glass flower pipe screen (the ones used by the folks on the Ascent thread) on the bottom. It takes up a bit of space and the way the herb settles around it, with it's point facing up, helps distribute the heat up into the load.

Inspired by something I read on the Ascent thread I have also experimented with using a loose cubic zirconia. The guy who explained about it was a scientist or sure knew his shit because c.z.'s realllllly hold the heat. They do so many many times better than glass. A c.z. works great on the bottom to, or in the middle of the load. So sometimes if I really want to conserve herb I'll use a glass flower on the bottom, the cubic zirconia in the middle, and then a ceramic screen or two on top!

It seems there is scope for using screens with just about any conduction vaporizer and it really helps to conserve the herb. I intend to get an Indica soon and I can't wait to try it out in that.

For anyone wondering what we are talking about, here's the link to the ceramic screens:

http://silversurfervap.com/index.ph...icks-screens-misc/ceramic-button-screens.html

Lemme know how it works for you @vaporonly!

Re- search, Grasshopper.

There is no better satisfaction than than answering one's own questions. Experiment.

& yes, unless I am in a blaze of a haze, I read. & learn.

Off course, I two yam won heckoffa serial Puffer to. Hey. maybe dads why I have had ADD since I was 12!

Anyway, extraction @ progressively higher temperatures becomes more efficient, and the effects @ different temps can affect body, and mind, differently.

*€¥£* The quality of your magic bud is the open sesame. *£¥$*

Try it out Bud, end LUK. PAX.

PS If you can snag a FM 5s ( or its clones ) 4 a good bargain, it has 3 temp settings.

How much more efficient extraction comes 190 celcius versus 213 celcius. I don't need exact numbers, i need just rought value based on ones experiences.

I have no money to dump into vaporizers. I think there is someone on this forum who got both.
Someone on this thread mentioned they had both, but preferred the one temp version due to the longer run time before the auto shut-off. YMMV

Try the classifieds here.

or, you can make a makeshift one until you can invest in one. Thanks to Max, some of us got a 5s basically for the price of the single temp. Gotta strike while the iron is hot, if you can.

Interesting, yes well my only thing is that i want all out of weed. So basically it seems that version with multiple tems would have been right to me. Annoying as i ordered this v5.0 just couple of days before shop started selling v5.0s few of dollars higher price. Now, i should probably sell this piece of crap and order better version from china and it is gonna take weeks of waiting or shitloads of dollars for fast shipping which is no no. They have v8.0 in store now and i think maybe i should get that right away bacause they sell it for only 78 dollars! But that 2-3 weeks waiting... Again.

Yes i could actually make light bulp vaporiser.

If you get good effects from your FM, but want more out of your bud, make something with your ABV

I prefer the FM5S to the FM5 (have both at home), and I would wait before ordering the FM8 (have a beta to test)

And there's little difference in temperature between the FM5 temp and the FM5S on red.

I'm really in tune with the 5 minute auto shutoff this seems to work well for me.
1 session blue, 2 purple and last on red til it's done.

@KeroZen when you say the single temp is between purple and red equivalent on the vary temp did Smiss tell you or did you measure it yourself?

@cityslang : That's what Smiss told me and also what I experienced. The 5S on red is slightly hotter but I don't think you would get much by taking the ABV of the 5 and trying to extract it further in the 5S. At these high temps pretty much everything gets vaporized and apart from bad taste not much is left inside.

Really? Are those specs chinese company gives us wrong? That is great news for me. Just considering edibles is there difference in effects when using vaporized or non vaporized marijuana doing them and what kind of difference it is? Just less potent? I know there are all these boiling points of compounds but i am more interested what user can feel.

I have the V5.0 that I got on the massdrop, and I have NOT been able to get a buzz by revaping my AVB from the FM in either my Lotus or my HA. I am pretty confident that the 5.0 gets all the goods out of my product. I will say, however, that the last few hits don't taste very good, but taste is secondary (for me) to effects. And the AVB is quite dark at the end.

Edit: Not my ABV either...

Anyone had any operating trouble with the Flowermate 5 adjustable temp version? Had mine for 2 months exactly and its just broken. Green light comes on indicating charged, but when pressing the button 5 times to heat it up, no chamber light and nothing doing. I am contacting the UK ebay seller to get a replacement now.. rather disappointed as it worked pretty well for the 2 months - its not been over used or anything though..
