3 holes is actually quite hard to do. Once one is blown you loose your back pressure so the other ones have to be picked. And picking a small hole is kind of a bitch. I need to get a good tungsten pick so I can just heat drill them. Yes I make slides and domes.

blow one big hole and use thick stringers to make the "screen"

Hey guys, I've been getting a handful of requests for these mothership-esque honey buckets. What id like to know is, who all would be interested in seeing me do something like these? Or more importantly buying them! Lol

I ask because the quartz is gonna be a pretty big up front cost for me and I don't want to invest in something that I can't recoup my money on. I'm also open to suggestions on where to source the quartz. So far all I'm seeing is alibaba. Thanks.

Oh I have no doubt. @blankrider and I were just saying earlier that it's an awful simple piece for the prices on them to be so damned inflated. I wanna offer them at a more affordable rate. This somewhat hinges upon properly sourcing the quartz swing buckets.

Id be in for one or two if the price is right (probably one male and one female especially if you can price them cheaper than the $70 they cost on eBay. Hopefully that's possible)

I know there were quite a few people from the Doughboy thread that wanted one too.

I think @blankrider knows a cheap source from China for the Quartz swing buckets IIRC?

Honey buckets are for torch only. E-nail are used on more of a standard type domeless nail and can also be used on banger style domeless

The best design I have seen for e-nail is by a guy named pukinbeagle

The seller on alibaba got back with me within hours. Very reasonable pricing. I have to buy them in 20pc increments to get the good pricing though. They do come with the o-rings though so that's a plus. Now I've just gotta come up with the $$$ to order them.

I looked on ebay for the 70$ buckets that were mentioned. The only ones I see are 99.99$ and they are all clear!!!! Wtf? I'm thinking 70$on worked ones and 50$ on clear. And I honestly feel kinda dickish about those prices. Thoughts?

there a a few heads out there already making these, honestly it LOOKS easy and all you need to do is add one attachment to what would be, a dome.... the hard part is just getting the quartz part sourced pretty cheap. id be willing to split the order in half if helps you out? id love to make some buckets with an mothership style carb cap.

not to mention, i haven't spotted any full color ones with worked joints....

If I can just chime in with my thoughts...

I have just recently bought one from here http://www.bakebros.com/14mm-domeless-honey-bucket-bowl-swivel-quartz-glass/

Here is a review someone posted that pretty much sums up what I think...

Good quality just like everything I've gotten from BakeBros, the bucket is old solid thick glass and the Quartz swing is 15.8mm and is ofz compatible, comes with 2 grommets so it swings smoothly, slight rubbing if it isn't centered when lowering the Quartz swing into the bucket, that can easily be fixed by centering the swing and being gentle, definitly worth the price after receiving the 1st I was so happy that I bought another one, the only downside is its hard to find the ofz caps for these.

Real problem is not having the carb cap available for low temp dabbing, also my swing doesn't sit at 90 degrees when full swung down, more like 110 degrees, so the product can pool in the corner of the swing bucket...this would be better if it sat straight...

If you can sort out those kinks and provide the carb caps too then I am in for a worked one

It looks like the attachment point to the dome portion just needed to be a bit lower. Maybe the top of the dome needs an indent for the bucket to swing lower and still be level.

This is exactly how I plan on making mine. Working on a prototype as we speak.

I just ordered an e-nail but I still will have to have one of these. Maybe to match my recycler, If it ever actually happens. I think I'm becoming a "vape hoarder". :disgust:
