Than why did my car screw up my unit?
We have had reports of car charger dongles with shorts on some of the USB leads creating weird phenomenons.

Both the instant on light or over heating could point to some error with temperature sensor which effectively has a lead into the USB communication port.

If there is nothing obvious like the battery installed upside down; don't hesitate to contact us. We will get things sorted out with a new unit for you in no time at all

Here is a possible explanation.

Calibration mode is activated by communication via the USB port. Low frequency pulses at startup of unit will push the computer into calibration mode: In this mode the light will flash very rapidly making look like it is solid almost.

A USB dongle hooked up to low frequency interference like a running car motor could push the unit into calibration. Closing the calibration mode is done very much like opening, via low frequency pulses.

This is quite unlikely: USB dongle interference hooked up to specific frequency to put the unit into calibration. But explainable by Murphy's law

In any manner we will look closely at the unit and keep evolving to bring down the risk of this possibility in the future.

Ordered number 3500 on Nov 2. Next day I received my shipping confirmation number with 2 different sites to follow it with. Wishful thinking I might get it today since it's my day off, but unlikely. I hope this unit can get me medicated in a way similar to combusting. My first vape was a pinnacle and it was weak. I started combusting immediately. I hope this unit can change that.

e/ have been following inhalator for years, finally had the cash to pop on one.

I can testify being a former 40 year smoking veteran.... I started with the VB 2.0 DLX {I too went for the glass} and although it was able to grab my attention away from smoking it like you said "was weak" although the experience was stronger it was somehow lacking something......
Initially it was very exciting to be able to recognize a slight difference being able to operate / extract at lower temperatures....taste hangs around longer and the experience is best described as more of a head buzz and you feel a bit more energetic....
Being that I was always worried about extracting all that I could.... the higher temp extraction is were I found that "couch lock feeling" major pain relief and most likely napping very soon....ha ha ha ....

When I received my Q2 XP I was able to never look back.... I was forced to for a while there when my unit broke.....this was when I learned even more about the difference between most vaporizers and smoking..... I tried to go back to my VB 2.0..... but it just couldn't quite get the job done....and I found vaporizing was consuming way to much of my time.....went back to smoking.....:mental::rip:

After my replacement came I ordered a couple of back up units..... and since then have never looked back..... I hope that you will like this unit as much as I have.....as I do believe it will be able to get you to say.....as long as I have this device I will never smoke again.....

You chose wisely......... congrats.... :peace:

Is there a chart or something that tells what temp is good for what kind of herbs? I want to try different herbs other than mj but am not sure what to try and what the ideal temp should be set to.

The best temperature for a mix of 25% shisha and herbs is 4-5. This may seem low but as taste and experience develop I really got to feel for temperature which produce vapors like pure silk . This mix needs to be warmed up a couple of minutes to truly deliver and is really of a head type of buzz.

Using the air capsule is necessary for best experience. The extension also is nice

I got my new INH 05 yesterday and am enjoying it so far.
For my use there are not too many differences between the XP and the 05 models.
Either way the both models of Inhalater are my easiest to use as well as being easiest to maintain and keep clean of all portables I own.

I like the form factor more than the XP. The slightly shorter stature makes me feel more comfortable with it in my pocket, and I like the look in general.
The performance seems very similar. This is good... I loved the XP from day one!

The Cap
I do not use the bottom of the unit to store the cover during use often.
I fear too many times pulling that snug cap off its "snapped on" position will weaken the attenuation wheel's snug fit. I use the cap as I did with the INH04 and the XP. (I stick it in pocket or on my finger for duration of the vape.)

I like the looks of the INH05 more and as I said earlier it is easier to carry.
However...
The charging time is faster on my XP.

When it comes right down to it, it is close between the two units, as to which I prefer using, with a bit of a preference toward the XP, as it charges faster
Once I am actually using the unit, it is very difficult to tell the difference between them.
I loved my XP, and I love this "05".

The Capsules:
Glass Capsules
Yes, the flavor is great, but I am more pleased when using the polymide for a few reasons.
The unfinished cut edge of the glass scares me.
After inserting it, inspection with microscope shows small scratches on the interior polymide of the unit, where I slid the glass capsule in.
It is hot to touch and handle with fingers, and it becomes pretty hot to lips.
I will retain the 3 I got in case someone needs them down the road.

Air capsules
I can not tell a lie.
Even though many users enjoy this, I just don't get it.
It feels like I am smoking a cigarette that has pin holes poked along it's length. I inhale for the hit, and feel like I have to work too hard to find the vapor and flavor. I feel that I can duplicate this effect with the regular capsule by letting a tiny amount of air seep in between the mouthpiece and my lips.
I will retain these also for those that prefer them.

I still love both the shoulder capsules, and the regular ones.
My attention will no longer be to finding differences between the two units.
I will just use and enjoy them both, and will focus on longevity of the tool.
My 04 lasted a year and a week, then the charging post cracked, rendering it non chargeable.
My XP is exactly one year old now, and showing no such weakness.
The 05 is a dandy portable that I can see I will use with great ease and pleasure.

This doesn't surprise me given what I know about your usage. I tend to be a little on the sensitive side when it comes to vapor temp on my throat, whereas I consider you to have an iron throat. After seeing you hit some 7th Floor products with short wands, I can see why you prefer not having the air capsule! I like the air capsule, as it makes the vapor more comfortable (even if it does weaken the strength of the vapor), but it took some getting used to mentally since I like to chase thick clouds. Are you enjoying using the regular capsules as designed?

It's finally available in Europe!
Waited so long for this, but now I don't know if it's smart to buy one, especially because of the charging and melting problems some users reported here...

@Vitolo The trick with the air capsule is to inhale directly into the lungs. Not take puffs or mouthfuls.

The extra airflow gives this process comfort and is not tiring to the lungs, and the diluted vapors make it smooth.

You will see how big of clouds this makes! It's much different than big hot temperature vapor clouds. They are more misty but you can definitely see them. Call it the Inhalater Inhalator technique ;-)

Please post you results if you test!

I dig the air capsule. I wish I had a few more. I hear what Vitolo is saying, but I still get huge clouds with the air, and it's much cooler.

But yeah, suck in a little air around a regular capsule and the effect is basically the same.

Yes... thoroughly!

I am a direct lungful guy... never a puff or sip.
I inhale with what most people regard as great force.

Test results:
Regular Capsule vs Air Capsule...
Identical force used to inhale directly into lungs for an entire session.
  • Regular Capsule- Vapor was consistently thicker, more rewarding, flavorful and medicating
  • Air Capsule- Vapor was thinner, and a bit frustrating. Yes, I did get thickish vapor, but it did not feel as effective, when looked at during individual hits. The end of session medicated feeling was the same.
The session with the air capsule required 3 hits less to get the ABV the same darkness.
I believe that to be result of less air passing through the meds during the cooking, so the contents of the regular capsule, while providing thicker vapor, cools off more with each inhalation.

Stickstones is correct, and he seems to know me well.
I prefer a hot hit!

Wow thats great testing!

What temperature do you use your unit at? Where you using the 05 of the XP?

I go all about with my unit. Generally starting at 5-6 and getting hits at 9 then bringing it down as it gets too irritating en then back up as medicine is going away.

Great gadget! hahaha

I was using the 05 all the way for this last round of examination of capsules.
While the 05 takes much longer to charge, it's consistency is good
I use both units at same setting: "5.5", and then after a few teaser hits, I go to 6, and finally 6.5 or 7.

I received my unit yesterday and got to try two capsules. It worked pretty nicely. I charged it up and used it tonight and now when I turn it on it lights up like it's warming up but stops and flashes slowly over and over. When I turn it to auto it flashes rapidly then stops and repeats. Has anyone else seen this happen?

As far as I can tell it's already broken. The light goes on and stops and blinks slowly. If I increase the temperature the light speeds up slightly, but that's it. It doesn't heat up at all. All that and I've only had it for one day.

Are you certain it's charged properly? Mine has exhibited that behavior when the charge is nearly, but not quite, depleted.

Give it another shot after a full charge, ie make sure the blue charging light shuts off. Don't be surprised if it takes 12-14 hours to charge fully. Good luck!

No worries. Experience tell that it is most likely only the battery that is drained. In any case we are here to assist.
Thanks for keeping us updated on the outcome!

We would like to mention that Inhalater has made another technological break trough.
It is possible to boost the heating power from 12 to 21watts. A 75% power increase for faster heating times and more stable temperature. We are presently at reliability testing stage.

I understand you guys are trying to help but quite frankly I understand how to charge something. I got the unit 2 days ago. It charged all friday night and saturday until I got home at 8pm cst. The blue light was off. It charged all last night from 9pm to this very moment. The light was not on when I tried using it now and hasnt been on for the last few hours. I turned it on and it just blinks slowly. i replugged it in and the charge light came on and turned off 5 minutes later as I typed this with the inhalater in my lap. It does not work and I only got to use it for 3 capsule fulls. Im extremely upset to say the least.

It acts like its heating up and never stops blinking. When I pay over 200 dollars for something that is supposedly unrivaled by any other vaporizer...it better work.

The cap (lid) of my 05 does not click on securely, and will click on audibly, but will fall off at a touch.
I lost the meds in my pocket each of 3 times I carried the 05 unit with me.
Of course when I leave the house already using the unit in hand there is not an issue.

The XP lid stays on firmly.
At least for the time being, the XP will continue it's travels with me daily, while I figure out if there is a way to secure the cap of the 05 more snugly

Has anyone else noticed the cap being less secure?
I wish to learn if this is the cap itself that may be a singular faulty cap, or if this is the case with all units.

@Cannibal Yes we think the same. Please contact us directly here admin@inhalater.com.

@Vitolo The cap has 2 small tabs for it to transmit motion when installed on the knob. When inserting the cap, these tabs must align with cavities in the mating body. Loud click sand small hold may be a symptom of imperfect alignment.

Alignment is operated by 7.5 degree of rotation in one direction or the other while maintaining a light pressure to feel the perfect spot. Once the cap is deformed, ideal solution is to get another one.

@Vito...as far as I can tell the cap is the only thing that works properly. There is no chance my lid comes off by itself. Im sorry you are having problems as I first learned of this vape from your videos.

Upon removal of battery I noticed it is blue. ICR18650-30A SAMSUNG SDI 2E83
