So i have finally found my ideal STRAW solution!!
After a few sessions and some serious thinking, i think i came up with an ingenious solution!

When you insert a flexicone into the lid, there is a small space between the nipple and the plastic lip.
Hmmm...
Cuts himself a 2cm bit of Herbalizer whip tubing and tests the fit... AB-SO-Frickin-perfect!!
Feed it through a bit and test fit nipple of flexicone into Herbalizer whip tubing - Again PERFECT!!
Slide it up until the flexicone is in it's normal position - 100% seal!
I then manipulated the glass straw into the end of the whip tubing that was sticking out of the lid.
Another perfect seal!

I can leave a flexicone in the lid and snap baskets in and out with ease!!
Only problem is i need to buy some more flexicones... 1st World Problems i tell you!

Fit and seal is perfect and the taste is still untainted as my Herbie tubing is tasteless to me.
Some nice flexibility to the glass straw at the tubing joint.
This can be customized by leaving the whip tubing longer!

Will post pics later... Testing has me medicated again!

Sounds somewhat similar to my creation. For this I just fed the flexicone+ through as normal before deciding the length I wanted and snipped it.(I have 3 flexicone+ so all is well)
Then I placed an inch length section of tygon silicone tubing over a glass arizer balloon mouthpiece then the flexi+ over the first segment of glass before folding the tygon back over the flexi+, thus creating a sort of knuckle of glass/flexi+/tygon tubing. I've said before how sturdy this is I can walk about with the MV dangling with zero risk of the knuckle or indeed any parts of the straw giving way. From that point you can opt to just have a really short straw, only for light hits as it gets hot as hell to the touch .. Or add as many more sections as you like. I went for 3 as the final glass segment doesn't get hot at all.. Though 2 sections also does a pretty good job too
Also as there are small gaps between the glass pieces, direct heat transfer that would be caused by contact is non existent
Finding this method opened a whole new for me as I'd never enjoyed direct draw from solely the flexi+ and found that direct draw gets me faced even more than using a WT

@Mrmrmrmr.. Your dirty flexicone related OCD can be alleviated to a degree. Buy some arizer elbow screens for the EQ and use em as a lid for you large basket before snapping into flexicone as normal. It works. I don't use any other method now.

I don't want to confuse anyone. I don't think there are units that run hotter than others unless they are defective. Goldy has more temp settings but in a narrower band on purpose, so I am using her for high temp vaping only. The down side to this is I don't know what low temp MiniVaping is like.

Edit: I just had a session with the most amazing taste ever. I've vaped this strain in all my other taste-chaser vapes and not tasted this before. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I kinda want one with more settings just for the sake of it. Some strains really don't need red to purge all the meds. In fact some strains lose flavour faster because of too high a temp and would benefit from having more inbetween steps.

Guys you do realise I have been reading this thread for days and days while I have a brand new minivap sat here waiting for my return to the uk to use it.

You have really bigger it up and my expectations are high.

Here's an update on the status of my poor failed MV for whoever is interested:

Vapornation received my unit last Friday. I called them today and they told me that they agree that it is defective and they are shipping me a replacement tomorrow. Thank the gods! There never was any doubt in my mind that my MV had failed but you never know how a vendor (as opposed to a manufacturer) is going to handle these situations.

I took the opportunity to ask them what they knew about different updates made to the MV, and whether or not they were selling the most recent version. The guy I talked to (Kyle) said he wasn't sure about any updates, but that they received their last shipment of MVs from Hermes Medical in late August so it's probably a pretty recent batch.

anyway I thought I'd share the good news for any who purchased from VN or were considering it. counting down the hours until I can be reunited with the MV.

@Techmob.. You needn't worry. Trust us .. You got some herbs waiting for your return? .. You'd best just start saving up all your drool now .. And free up some of your love too ..
@kimura.. It makes me glad you shall soon once again be in the fold.. And your love affair can begin all over again.

I'm surmising here, but I don't think he has more settings I think he may have had Hermes customize his for his preferred temperatures as you alluded to.

Happy your Mini is being replaced. I'm sure a bunch of us got it from Vapornation and I know I'm happy we have someone watching our backs if something is faulty with our units.

This is from the official European website. If you choose the gold edition then you are taken to a different screen than the black or silver. Also if you add to basket then the golds pricepoint is about 100 Euros more than the others

On a UK site Vapefiend.co.uk there's a green one, also apparently limited edition.. Though it doesn't appear to be in stock anymore. Nor does it mention being different from the black and silver.. I've also seen red someplace, just not for sale.

HOLY SHIT. minivap put me in a coma last night. All I had was .08 and a drop of wax. Heated up to green the wax melted into the material and I had to have gotten at least 15 monster clouds. Just woke up and I'm still flying so to speak.
Extremely psyched to take minivap hiking this weekend.waterfalls here we come

I know that effect, even with my high tolerance, I always have to brace myself after a couple bowls just to keep up and stay active. I vape at high temperature all day so I have to be on top if I want to be able to get stuff done. Sometimes I crash, it's like being vacuumed into my chair. The hardest part is to gather motivation to sit up, take my shower, brush my teeth, go to bed when I'm totally MV'ed (instead of crashing)

It's even more deadly theses days, because of my Y adapter. It delivers so much, smooth, easy and quick, for the first time I'm very soon in the too much for me zone. I remember myself struggling to get medicated sipping for hours on bubblers. No more, I just load two small bowls on the double "rainmaker" and I'm ready. I don't even use it very often, just one MV and one bowl, and I'm goodbye good. Thanks to the high heat !

About the video where you see the mountains, I kind of wish I could live there all year. It's in Northern Italy where we have a house we share with the grand parents, almost every year I go for a couple weeks, it's the best. I still have another video to upload.

The MV is so awesome to take out, I have not been doing it since a little while. One of theses days I'll take my bike and go to the nearby forest for a good session. Enjoy you walk, waterfalls are awesome. I love to see water.

PS : Talking about efficiency. I can finish a big bowl in 3 to 5 hits, but I can finish a small one in 1 to 2 hits ! Of course you can't achieve that rate without glass attachments.

I'm loving how similar the feel and routine is to my log vapes. If log vapes are your thing, this deserves strong consideration.

Kudos to the member a few pages back (Who the fuck are you??) I just tried the large basket-fill with weed-top off with arizer basket-then flexicone + and holy shirts and pants! Plus it keeps it clean and some added conduction with the dual metal baskets for bigger clouds!!

.. No worries. I don't use any other method now. Build a straw also if you have balloon bag glass.. 

@Roger D .. Glad to see the name stuck.. I'm teetering on the edge of a second unit more and more. Must be awesome sitting with a buddy and them being able to hit one at their own pace.

Yeah it's also great for sharing the MV experience, when a friend comes he can have his own MV and water piece.

Last night was a blast. Watched the new AHS freak show episode with some blue cheese+minivap. On the blue setting my taste buds exploded with a floral array of different scents. I was thinking ,wouldn't it be cool if there was a case that you could place 10 or so flexicone setups and pop them out whenever you wanted (preloaded of course ). I think later today I'll work on a dry path setup.
That'll be for when I'm out and about in nature cuz let's face it I'm a vape through water kinda guy!

This is what I was thinking when I got my decarb kit and did a 'what the fuck may as well' and ordered 4 backups of the flexicones so I have 5 all together and there is always at least a couple ready to go.....no stand or case for them though yet, so that idea you put forth is compelling. Knowing someone or better yet owning a 3d printer would be awesome when ideas like this pop into ones head.

Last night I had a very enjoyable session where I just sat there watching tv with Goldy for around an hour, just sipping it and slowly ramping up the temp using the battery.

The flavor was outstanding. The best flavor I've had from ground bud. Now I wish I hadn't given my VAP2 to my sister so I could do some flavor comparisons. When I want to compare a vape to the VAP2 for flavor that is a high complement!

It's hard to explain the flavor, but it is stronger with deeper subtleties.

The loads I pack seem to be smaller than in other vapes, and the unit caches them out quickly...the smaller basket in two to three hits and the larger one in five to six. I have used it quite efficiently, but I like it so much I am in that stage where I am probably using more bud just because it is so enjoyable! And I second the tip with the E basket...

Does anyone have the I.D(in mm) of the stock stem that comes with the minivap?
