What's your opinion of John Davidson? Did he do a good job for the Blues?

We miss him doing the analysis on the Rangers broadcasts.

i liked him, but others here did not. hard to tell exactly what he did here exactly, but our team def improved every year.

he seems to be doing a decent job in columbus now, but that ball was already rolling before he got there so...? he is a smart hockey guy no doubt.

and another horrible game for the blues last night. this flu bug is killing us.

The Blues better turn a profit this year, otherwise we may not have a team anymore.

http://thehockeywriters.com/inconceivable-blues-spend-big-but-still-cant-turn-a-profit/

nah. they arent going anywhere. almost all of the NHL teams arent "profitable". teams spend tons on players, but dont make it all back in ticket sales. the owners do however make it back times over by concessions, advertising, merchandise sales, and the countless events held at the rink when hockey isnt being played (concerts etc). you see in the NHL its mandatory that the owner of the team must also own the barn they play in. so all the revenue from all the extra stuff goes to them. the owners tried using that "unprofitable" nonsense during the lockout negotiations. its bullshit.

i do not believe the blues are in danger of relocating for a second.

great game last night. big win for the big blue machine.

i see some hawks fans and beat writers are calling the oshie hit on carcillo dirty... bwaaaaaahahahahahahaha that is hilarious. that hit was as clean as they come. it was hip on the side of carcillos leg. doesnt matter if it was his knee or not. it wasnt a "knee on knee" hit in any way. oshie through a clean hip check and carcillo got hurt. now hawks fans are calling oshie dirty. blasphemy.

and dont even get me started on Otts slash. ol boy gave ott a butt end and ott replied with a slash. of which BARELY even got versteeg. but versteeg went down like he was shot.

if hawks fans wanna see what a dirty hit is... look no further than the seabrook hit on backes in game 2 of the first round last year. targeted head, left his feet, and the puck was nowhere to be found. hence the suspension.

there will be no suspension on the oshie hit folks. LETS GO BLUES!!!

Wow, Vladimir Tarasenko! Even a Ranger fan has to give him credit.

In a really entertaining game, the highlight was his streaking power play goal- showcasing his speed (past the injury riddled, & flatfooted Ranger D) & great hands.

I never like to see the Rangers lose but that's the kind of hockey I love. What skills! I may have to pay more attention to the Blues, I could use a favorite Western Conference team.

Jack of all trades, master of none.
I finally get to watch a Blues game tonight. Shit's been hectic for me since the start of the season. LGB!!!!!

Good win for the boys! Allen had a good showing in net. Woot!:tup:

Here's something you don't see everyday…I'm at my gym this morning & who walks in? The Pittsburgh Penguins, the whole team! They did a spinning class & then some yoga.

They pretty much kept to themselves. I asked one (unidentified) guy how he was feeling after playing a game last night. I had to add "I mean physically" - since the Rangers kicked their butts last night & I didn't want to seem hostile. He said he was feeling "pretty good".

I also had a quick conversation with Sid the kid, who seemed very pleasant.

soooo... martin brodeur will practice with the blues on friday on a tryout basis. i did not see this coming. with elliotts i jury, that IMO looked bad, i guess the Blues arent ready to trust Binnington enough yet to back up Allen. my guess is that if Marty makes the team that he will back up Allen. or maybe they continue with the current tandem system they use with elliott/allen...? i cant believe we may see Brodeur in a note. too bad this didnt happen 10-15 years ago! haha. this should be interesting.

also, lots of rumors about a trade of patrick berglund plus another player (possibly ott) going to edmonton for jordan eberle. now i am a berglund fan. he is a streaky scorer and has been used in more of a checking role under hitchcock, but he does go long periods of being almost non existent offensively. lots of blues fans want him gone, but i know he will break out at some point. it always takes swedes a bit longer and he is only 26. anyway, if the rumors are true we have got to go for this trade. adding eberle to our squad would be insane. he could play with steen and stastny. obviously these are just rumors, but this one has me excited! sorry berglund!
