I have two rabbits that once ate a clone I'd just purchased and one of them was laying on its side, head down, tongue hanging out, hyperventilating and trying to hop without being able to stay upright for hours after eating that marijuana plant. It was awful! Ironically the strain was Durbin *Poisson*. But yeah, ABV and dogs sound like a bad, bad accident waiting to happen, so best to just keep your ABV stash in glass jars and then up on high shelves.

So, I posted this over on Reddit, and so the comments I'm referring to in this post weren't posted by FC members, but I really wanted to post a copy of my from there over here... It's titled, "About The Importance of Forrest Landry's Theology to the Magic Flight Launch Box Company" (that actually links right to Reddit I think... I just copied and pasted the title). And here's what I posted,

"Hi there... In an earlier post, I asked if anyone likes to read any of Forrest Landry's books, and what people thought of his philosophy since it's so important to Magic Flight as a company. To my surprise, quite a few people had strong critical opinions against the company operating on an ethical theme from a philosopher - Some saying things like, they should just make vaporizers and that's what they should stick because that's what they're good at, as well as that the connection to Landry and their publishing and distribution of his literature by MFLB is, "weird," and "not connected to vaporizers at all," (not verbatim). I really disagree with this and I think it's great that the company has a reason for how they function and a great ethical code. Anyway, MFLB wrote me back in a friendly back and forth I was having with a company worker regarding the warranty on an Orbiter if you don't buy it from the company site (for the record, the Orbiter has to be purchased from the company site in order to get the full warranty), and today he happened to say this, which I thought everyone should read regarding the company and Forrest Landry... I've omitted the guy's name to respect his privacy as this was a one-on-one email correspondence and I don't know and haven't asked if he wants his name out there or not.

"OCT 29, 2014 | 02:20PM PDT ________ replied: Hi Natalie,

Wow, that’s really great! We truly appreciate your support—both of our products and the company ethos, which Forrest has instilled in our daily operations here at Magic-Flight. I use my Orbiter every day with kava oil, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the smoother draws that the Orbiter provides.

We measure our effectiveness by the degree to which others breathe easier in their lives because of the way in which we live in ours. Please let me know if there are any questions left unanswered. We want you to be fully enabled to achieve optimal performance for your Launch Box and accessories.

With Warm Regards, ________, Magic-Flight Consultancy"

For me, part of the attraction to buy this product was the fact that they have these values, and ultimately why I ended up buying my first product from them vs. a similar setup made by VaporGenie.com Also, I'm a Licensed & Certified Past Life Regressionist (a type of hypnotherapist), a Certified Spiritual Medium, and Licensed Angel Therapy Practitioner (a metaphysical healing modality).

In short, I'm saying I'm a new-agey person who's career is in metaphysical healing. So to me, Landry's work is very cool, and the fact that the company has a sort of type of spiritually motivated ethical system is right up my alley as a person - in terms of personality, career, and hobbies. So, in the least, I can say that this side of their site certainly attracts a particular audience, and that's actually very good for their sales. It's definitely not bad for the company if it's generating more money by appealing to a specific audience.

I just wanted to share this email that I received which clarifies their viewpoint and opinion on Forrest Landry. And I'm not looking to troll or anything - I just think that the literature MF sells is just as valid and on-topic as the box itself."

Just thought the MFLB FC's, "Flight Club," might find the above interesting :)

My Orbiter came today! Unfortunately, it doesn't come with instructions and there's no FAQ on the MF site, nor on Reddit's MFLB subreddit forum. If anyone has any links to instructional info, please post them! In the meantime I was just wondering about a couple or four questions. My apologies to staff if there's already a thread on this, but I couldn't find one using the search that answered all of these specific questions. Sooo, here they are:

1) How much water should go in it?

2) Does the glass detach from the wooden base and wire?

3) Does the longer whip go to the mouth or to the box?

4) How often does the water need changing? Does it get nasty the way bong water does?

And, that's pretty much all I need to know... Can't wait to use it! I wish it had instructions with it though...

Thank you in advance to anyone who responds! <3

1. I usually make sure that the perc at the bottom is completely covered. In theory you don't need any more than that, but feel free to add more water depending on your preference. You can do test draws to see if it's bubbling as you'd like it to.

2. Yes. There's a little metal collar/sleeve wrapped around both wires. Slide that down from the top and the glass will come right out. When reassembling, simply slide the collar back up until it's snug.

3. I believe Magic-Flight intends the longer whip to be the draw whip and the shorter one to go to the box. It's not a rule or anything, but I prefer to keep it that way. That way I get maximum reach if the Orbiter is sitting on a table.

4. To be totally honest the water doesn't need to be changed that often. Totally up to you how frequently you refill it. It doesn't get nasty like bong water does at all. After enough use the glass will start to "fog up" with vapor condensation. You can rinse it with ISO really easily at any time, just detach the glass from the base, pour some in, and then plug up both holes with your thumbs and shake. Rinsing it out with water is just as easy.

Thanks! I'll be trying it out tonight now that I know all this :) For me it's basically just an accessory because I don't ever cough from the MFLB. I use a vape-mod for nicotine e-juice and easily get up to 1000 puffs or more in one day off my puff counter so I was already very accustomed to vapor before I got my box. When I first switched from smoke to vapor though (cigarettes to nicotine vape mod), I coughed for the first month or two and then got so used to it that I've posted some of those vape cloud pics on Twitter and Instagram, lol. (People post competitive pics of how big of a plume of vapor they can exhale). With that in mind, I doubt I'll use my Orbiter as often as some people, because I don't actually need it for any coughing issues, but it looks awesome and it's going to be fun. I was planning on just setting it in my lap while using it because I've basically been bedridden over the last few months from reflex sympathetic dystrophy. It is going to be great to have with friends though, because every time I let someone try to use it, (and I force them to read the quick start guide first), they inevitably end up combusting and leaving a stain in my unit that I have to clean out. Now I can just pass the whip and manage the battery myself. One more post in this thread hits 1000 by the way ;)

EDIT: Oops... It's pages. We're on page 988, so two more pages and it'll 1000, not two more posts.

Magic flight says 40mL is the right amount of water.

Where'd you find that? I couldn't find any info from MF on it at all. I wonder how many cups or tablespoons that is, or whatever measurement it comes out to. I'll see if I can find a converter on Google.

EDIT: Rounded up, it's 1.4 ounces.

Not sure who you ordered from, puffitup happens to have the Metatron's Cube and accepts PayPal, just in case you needed more options for places to order from.

They had the Nautilus at YourVaporizer.com, but only in Maple. There's no where else on the whole net that offers it other than at sales.magic-flight.com. I looked and looked - not on eBay, Amazon, PuffItUp, or anywhere - but at YourVaporizer.com, and I don't know how many they have in stock or if they'll be restocking them either. My Cherry Infinity Wing Box came though the other day along with my Orbiter :)

EDIT: And that one's not available anywhere other than MF either. I had to order off the site - no regrets about that though. I got great customer service, two day shipping, an extra cherry Wood Stem ($14.95 value), and six glyph battery caps (I only ordered two). I had also asked for a few extra postcards and stickers to give to friends and they sent me about twenty postcards and thirty stickers! I didn't need *that* many, but whatever, way cool people to work with :) I also decided to place my order there so that I wouldn't have to pay double shipping since I was already ordering my Orbiter from them so I could get the full warranty.

I would get the orbiter .
If you buy it direct from MF before the end of 2014 .
You'll get a Life time warranty with it .

One thing you should ponder on .
The PNWT and F-bomb are straight tubes .
Meaning they work best when held vertically , to prevent
water leakage/spillage . Therefore , you have to crane your
neck forward to hit it .

You can ' free wheel ' with the orbiter .

Hello everyone. I am new and have a have a mflb that I have struggled with and now love. This forum has been very helpfull. Finally got the mflb finish grinder and boy does it make a difference! Next purchase is the Orbiter and the plug in power. Batteries have been fine for me so far.

Thanks for the advice! Think I'm going to go with the orbiter seems real slick and I'd prefer to have that hands free option I worry about the 14mm adapter falling out of a vertical water pipe

Why before the end of 2014? Are they discontinuing the Orbiter? or ending lifetime warranties in general? or just on the Orbiter?

I just got the finishing grinder myself. It makes a world of difference. I also have the Power Adapter; while it certainly serves the obvious function of battery elimination, it's really so much more. It adds another whole dimension to the experience. It allows you to dial in the power from "weak battery" to "battery-and-a-half", giving you one more way, in addition to drawing technique and toggling the power on/off, to regulate the temperature.

I finally have my review ready on my first two experiences with the Orbiter. My first fill-up was half the globe, as someone suggested in a post. I don't know what planet they live on, but I got a mouth full of water, lol. I dumped some out and then vaped some Balancing Bleus Herbal Blend from MF the night before last. The glass didn't display any vapor and the taste of that blend was just awful. So, I didn't think I'd end up using it much and went to sleep. I liked the contraption though and was a little disappointed at how lame the experience was, but decided not to throw in the towel until I tried it with some weed.

So last night, I tried it with marijuana instead, and WOW! I only took one draw, the orb filled with visible vapor, and I was totally stoned for hours! And that was just one draw off a single trench. I noticed that it browned my bud much more quickly, thoroughly and effectively than it does when I just use a stem or native (I'm one of those people that has a hard time getting it to turn brown all the way).

Therefore, I think I will actually being using the Orbiter a lot because I seem to get a much higher potency concentrated into a much smaller amount of oxygen with a much more thorough and complete vaporization and overall usage of my herb. In other words, it worked, it rocked, five stars, would recommend it to everyone else, totally worth the money and and I'm going to be using it all the time :D

Oh yeah, I found that I prefer to use it just sitting in my lap while watching TV, so I had no issues with the lengths of the whips or anything. I also have my Reddit Pineapple box now designated specifically for weed, while my new, fancy Cherry Infinity Wing etched box is for Sweetly Calming only, or any other chamomile blend. Those substances create very little resin or oil, so they'll prolong the life of my favorite boxes, whereas my weed can go with my box that I'm not as super careful with, carry in my pocket, etc.

I am going to try using the Orbiter with some chamomile here in a minute and I will post back about how it went with that (just in case it wasn't the Balancing Bleus on its own - maybe the Orbiter just doesn't work well with herbal blends other than weed? We'll see. The Sweetly Calming should taste good... It always has before).

EDIT: Added more details

You can't get the Orbiter from another seller and get the warranty - they don't have serial numbers on them. And, they're only going for full warranty on the wood and the glass for the year of 2014. After that, it's either the glass or the wood that's covered under warranty, and the other of the two parts can be fixed for a fee of $20. That's what the company told me when I asked them about it. Bummer I can't remember whether it's the glass or the wood that's covered... But you have to keep the paper that comes in the box with the order, which has your order number on it which you must have to make a warranty claim since they don't have serial numbers on them. If you can't provide proof of purchase from MF, they won't warranty anything on the Orbiter. I think they said it was the glass that's warrantied and $20 for repair to the rest of the unit. But if you just buy it from them before the end of this year, the whole thing will be covered for life. Hope this makes sense...

Free wheeling means to try different things, do whatever you like or want, etc. So in the context of free wheeling with the Orbiter, I think the poster was responding to my questions about how much water to use and which whip to put where by saying, basically, you can do whatever you want or whatever suits you - that's what freewheeling means in this context. As for the warranty on the Orbiter, they're only giving full warranties until the end of 2014 and they have to be ordered from the MF site.

As for ordering out of country, according to their FAQ, this is what they said to the question, "Can I order one if I am not in the USA?" "Yes.
Please be aware that all packages leaving the USA and entering other countries are potentially inspected and delayed while in transit by the Customs Service. Domestic orders placed are usually received within several days of shipping. International orders, however, can sometimes take weeks to arrive. These potential delays associated with international shipping are well beyond our control (begging and pleading with a Customs Service rarely results in any effect). Therefore, we request the following:

1) if you are placing an international order, please be especially patient waiting for shipped products to arrive, and

2) please allow up to 30 days to receive shipped items. If it takes longer than 30 days, please reach out to us."

Hope that helps :)

So guess what? My first of the month pay came in and I was able to afford a Noir Maud-Dib! I'm SO excited! I bought some Kava Oil to go with it as I don't have any hash or wax right now and I don't use that stuff much anyway - it's too strong for me. I'm a big fan of Kava though. Anyway, I bought it from the Connoisseur's Club on MF for only $119 with 2-day shipping for only $6, and the Kava for only $19! If you're not a member, you really should join - the deals are great! The reason the MD was priced so much lower is because I bought it as a bare box (you can get bare boxes there - like, for people who already own a box and don't need duplicates of the accessories). So mine is the Noir (black) one and it's coming with, "One Glyph Battery and protective cap, 1.5 ft Black Draw Whip, Loading Spoon, and Velvet Storage Bag" w00t! The $6 two day shipping is part of being a club member. And as for why the Kava is priced so much lower (it's $39 on the main site), I'm not sure - it's still listed as a beta item in the club. So, either it's just offered cheaper to members or they haven't updated the price since it's no longer a beta item on the main site anymore.

Anyway, to join the club you have to own a box because you have to provide the serial to prove you've made purchases from them before. I don't know if there's a required amount of purchases or not to be considered a Connoisseur as I was formally invited by one of the sales team guys. You don't need an invitation to apply to join though. You can just fill out the form, give it a go and see what happens. You can get bare boxes of lots of other models and designs of things as well - basically, it's for people who are collecting. The thing is, you can't get to the Club site from the main page, so here's the link: https://www.magic-flight.com/club

___________________________________________________________________

Now I'm just down to getting the Weathervane Artisan Box for my birthday/Christmas (it's Dec 9th, so it's always been kind of like one holiday instead of two) and I'll have accumulated everything on my collection list! I can't wait to take a pic of it once I have my collection complete :D

@Staff I thought I should make a new post for this because it's a new topic, but if it's still considered back to back, please let me know... I don't want to break any rules. (I just didn't think anyone would notice that extra info was added to a post they've already read)...

Sooo... I was just sitting here bored and stoned and was looking at all the stickers that MF sent me, and then I started trying to figure out where to stick them. I ended up totally pimping out my iTaste MVP 2.0 Nicotine E-Juice vape mod with MFLB stickers - EVERYWHERE! I took these photos with my iPhone, emailed them to myself and then uploaded them to Imgur. Check it out!

you can buy the orbiter at verdampftnochmal or vapefiend.co.uk. but i don't understand, why magic flight wouldn't grant a lifetime warranty on glass when purchased in 2014 when you buy the orbiter there. both shops seem to be official distributors. vapefiend was even recommended to me by magic flight themselves in times when the box was fairly unknown in europe. i'm sure dealing with the bureaucracy at the customs is an unnecessary trouble, that most of us are happy to be able to avoid by ordering from an european shop.

Yes that`s also a reason for buying it in their shop. Prices in that German and UK shop are quite high, because they have to import and pay the tax as well.
