If you think something in a Vaporpedia entry is incorrect, log in and fix it.

I removed "without damage" from the entry. I think the rest is correct as it stands. Let me know if you still have issues, or better yet, fix it yourself. ;)

Never knew I could that. Don't even know how. Not quite sure if I feel comfortable going in and overwriting someone else's work.

Ya know, paka, maybe I used the wrong term. It's not that I have issues with it, but rather just want to relay some information that may save some from having to replace their batteries prematurely.

I kinda look at that vaporpedia entry as your puppy so I really don't want to go in and overwrite it. I just threw out some info that I feel is more correct. Candlepower is a great source for battery information. They've got a lot of electrical engineers over there and the factory people from Maha hang out there as well. Kinda like the FC of batteries. Great source for battery information if anyone is interested.

I kinda hang out there as well, so I can throw out any additional info that comes my way if ya want. Didn't mean to step on any toes here. Hope I didn't.

Do the power adapter's have a lifetime warranty too i assume because they quit working and they're sending you new ones in return? If so i'm gonna go ahead and buy the pa monday... How fast should it get to me? I also noticed how in jd's video he said he removed his push back ring.. Do you have to do that for the power adapter? I would think you wouldn't because if it stayed in there for a while it would combust right?

Hey guys! I'm seriously considering buying a MFLB and I was hoping ya'll could answer a couple questions for me. Currently, the only vaporizer I own is an Easy Vape, which I'm quite happy with considering the price I got it for, but I feel like it can't possibly compare to the the more well renowned and expensive vapes that get discussed on this forum. If any of you have experience with both the Easy Vape and the MFLB, let me know how you think they match up.

Firstly, how would you rate the quality of the vapor from the MFLB? I've heard that it's hard to get thick hits with it. In comparison to more expensive non-portable vapes, how does it fare? Is it smooth? The reason I got into vaporization was because I'm a huge cougher and smoking can be painful for me, so the smoother the vapor the better.

Is it easy to combust with the MFLB? Combusting accidentally is the bane of my vaporizer use and I feel like since you can't set the temperature and it's conduction style this might be an issue.

How well does the MFLB work with groups? I hear a lot about how the MFLB is great as a personal vape, but this is a moot point to me as I always smoke with a group. It seems easy enough to use (insert battery, inhale, remove battery) but at the same time I hear a lot about technique being important. If I have to spend more than two minutes explaining how to use this thing to everybody, that could be a huge problem.

How long does a bowl last and how long do the batteries last? This kind of adds to my last question. If I have to repack this thing every time it goes around the circle that could get very annoying. I'm prepared to buy more batteries if I need to, but how often am I gonna need to switch them out? Is it easy to tell when a battery is done vs a bowl being done? I feel like that could get confusing and annoying.

That's all the questions I have. I really want a portable vape and this thing looks great and cheap, so I hope I get positive answers.

On a complete side note, I see that some MFLB users have used it as bag vape by attaching a a bag to the stem and blowing into the intake hole and I had this idea:

I'm not an engineer or anything so I have no idea if that's actually feasible or not, but I wonder if the company that makes the MFLB has ever considered such an attachment, or would ever consider such an attachment.

I don't think there is a lifetime warranty on it, but I think they're only replacing them for free because it's still in the beta stages.

On the "negative" end of the battery looking thing, there is a cool little push button to activate it, so you don't have to worry about sliding the "battery" in and out to turn it on and off.

imo the mflb is not good in a group setting. The learning curve means theres always gonna be a noob that will fuck it up and make your box taste like shit. you have to know what you're doing to get big hits which will also turn noobs off.

Hi, could some one please help me out with a couple of questions.

Firstly how long should i charge my MFLB stock batteries in the standard charger they provide? I have been charging for 15 Hours when they have been completely dead, is this too long? So far seems to be good and each one lasts for quite a few trenches.

Also if the batteries are say 2/3's ran out is it ok just to charge them for 7-8 hours to try get some more power if you want to take it out later that evening? Rather than having to drain them fully and give a full charge as this can get inconvenient if you need to take it out and dont have the time for to give it a full charge, but want to take it out with a nice amount of charge.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Any help would be much appricated. Thanks in advance

 are you sure your batteries are not working? The above sentence would lead me to believe that you have no trouble getting high.

to answer your question...your batteries should be fully charged in 15 hrs, if not you have a problem. As for using batteries that are not fully "de-charged", the only concern you should have is over the lifespan of the battery (i.e. # of full charges before it dies). Ideally, one would charge the battery to full and then run it down to empty, completing a full charge iteration: it will increase battery life longevity.
However, using a 60% charged battery causes no harm to the MFLB, but may result in a lesser strength hit. Cheers!

What i was trying to say is, is it ok to charge a battery which is sitting at a half charge for 8 hours to make it a full charge? Thanks for your reply

No toes stepped on and the input is appreciated. I'm not possessive over the entry. Vaporpedia is a community resource and the nature of it encourages community participation. If people start getting possessive over the entries they've made, that defeats the concept.

On the direct point of damage to HSD batteries by fast charging, I agree that all batteries are damaged by heat and fast charging generates a lot of heat. I think the original wording was misleading (there is definite damage) but not to the point where people using 15 minute charges for HSD batteries would be surprised by early battery failure. I'm not even sure how quickly that regular 15 minute charges for LSD batteries would lead to failure, but I am fairly certain (from reading, not experience) that HSD batteries will endure repeated 15 minute charges far better than LSD batteries will.

There is a discussion about super-fast charging for LSD batteries:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...ill_LSD_batteries_charge_in_a_fast_charger.3F

If you have comments or suggestions on that or anything else, I'd appreciate them. Or, as I said, you could log in and edit it yourself.

The stock charger I have (two weeks old) charges in 4 hours. 15 hours? Way too long. Doesn't yours have green lights that flash when charging then stop flashing, but stay on, once complete?

Got my 2700's last night and charged them in 3 hours. WOW! What a difference. My interior light now looks like a lighthouse compared to the stock batteries. I wonder why Magic Flight just doesn't use them as the stock batteries and bump the price up a little on the front end.

The charger i got with mine is a Power Bank GP. On the back it said to charge 2000 batteries for 12-15 hours, maby its just a rubbish charger!?

It also doesn't give any indication when the batteries are charged the lights just stay red no matter how long the batteries are in.

Which model 2700's do you have? I want to invest in some asap. Also what charger do you use them in conjunction with? Thank you for the reply

I got four powerex maha 2700's after reading this whole thread and seeing them repeatedily be recommended as the best batteries. My charger came with my box that I ordered from blisssville.com. I don't think it even has red lights only green (ironic? I think not). It's a 2 battery, white charger with the Magic Flight logo.

Well I'm using the stock charger with the powerex 2700s, blinking green means charging and solid green light means charged on the defualt charger

Thanks pak. I'm sure I've read that and subsequently forgotten it too a few times in my long journey of reading this whole thread. Makes perfect sense though. Not sure if I've mastered the stock batteries yet but I'll risk it with the 2700's. If I scortch a few trenches I'm sure the sky won't fall.:D

Your situation is pretty much what I was doing. After I got the PA, I began using the LB more at home. If I am thinking of an extended session which might have been 3 or 4 or whatever bowls with the PD, the LB/PA comes more into the picture now. With the increased and abundantly available heat supplied by the PA, you can efficiently utilize the same amount of material rather more quickly than with a log, I think. There is also some intangible, inexplicable aspect, and I think I remember others commenting on it: the LB is somehow stonier! I'm not throwing out my log vapes (on the contrary I decided to do the grand tour and own all three brands). They are elegant, neat and clean (ie very little spillage), never scorch or burn, always taste good... But sometimes logs are too slow and staid and you need to cut loose with a whip or mflb/pa.

I dont have the PA but everything I've read and seen here seems to validate its awesome. Im on a spending freeze right now after going crazy for a month on all things vape related otherwise I'd have ordered one. I think I can hold off until the retail version is available but we'll see
