Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

scoob, A warm welcome to FC. Hundreds of FCers have shipped and sent different units back through the mail or UPS. You need to do a thorough cleaning and you should be set. Just use some ISO to wipe it down. Do you live in the U.S? In the U.S they are not going to worry about you sending a vaporizer back through the mail or UPS. Shipping companies are looking for something deadly. Portable vaporizers sometimes have issues. It happens even to the best of us. My first PnP had the cascading lights. I didn't have any issues sending it back. I received a new one within a couple weeks. VB was very accommodating. This was last October a year ago.

You are going to want to have it replaced. You don't want to be out $200+. I paid $10 to have mine shipped back. I live in the U.S.

Customer service is the key when buying a vaporizer. Always go with an authorized vendor or your warranty will be void.

edit: sorry I suck at quoting, I tried to delete out part of your reply to make the quote shorter and apparently that didn't work well

mod note: Fixed

I am just sharing my experience. Before I purchased, I read as much as I could, but there was hardly any negatives I could find about this device (until I was specifically searching for 'flashing red lights' after mine stopped working). I had a pax that worked perfectly fine for ~3 years, until I dropped it in the ocean (damn you hubris, you probably should not vape while kayaking in the ocean no matter how much you want to....).

If I could go back and do it again, I wouldn't drop the $250 on the PnP knowing it might bite the bullet in 3 weeks. Things do sometimes break, but some things break more often than other things. Even if vaporblunt is honoring the warranty and will repair/replace, it is still inconvenient and disappointing for a brand new thing to stop working. I can only hope that the replacement will be sturdier, but considering how careful I was with this thing, I might be sending it in for repair once every 6 months.

Just putting my two cents out there so someone else can hopefully have some information available before making a purchase decision.

If you read through FC you will see folks have to send vaporizer back, it happens. It happens probably more with a unit the first year out. Pnp just had it first birthday. It is still fairly new.

Good luck and hope everything works out for you. Its always good to have a backup vape.

I have writers block. I swear I haven't had a good idea in 2 years. I basically suck on all levels right now.....

Volcano just released 2 new vapes..... I appreciate the audacity of the way they release product. I've always been a huge volcano fan. watching them enjoy their positive reviews makes me vomit in my mouth with jealousy.

I will go back to the drawing board on Monday. Maybe I need to stop trying to make a $250 vape and start thinking about what a $500 pinnacle could be.....

Sorry, I don't have any social media so I have to use you guys to vent my thoughts.

Massdrop for the PNP w/ hydrotube. Seriously considering. I've read through several pages of the thread but have not found what I am looking for. How does the PNP work for stealth in terms of smell? The Pax was great for sight but smell was instantly noticeable when in a crowd. What say you about the PNP?...

Mine stinks pretty bad once it's warm, even without hitting it, therefore I don't consider it stealthy at all.

Pnp is pretty smelly while heating up. One of the more smelly of my portables. VB will be coming out with a new Pnp with different plastic in the spring sometime. There were some issues with the plastic for some.

Its the best for stealth, most people don't know what it is and assume an ecig.
Smell is very dependent on strain and curing. Worst when heating up but mp can be covered with finger and then there is virtually no smell. Would be good if u need a vape just for the odd concert or so, otherwise i would wait for an updated model.

@lookhigh, I use a cap on my Gpong and this helps contain the smell.

If absolute stealth is required, then I dip into my batch of decarboxylated herbs that have very little terpenes left it in that produce smell.

Or another very good solution is what @BarnBoy did... which is add some 0%nic e juice to cover up the smell.
I did it, and it works really well.

I find the Haze and Indica are on the same smell scale as the PNP.

Solo and Ascent I find smell slightly less than the PNP, but only by a fraction.

I don't drop my bullet in the unit until it's fully heated. I find this minimizes the smell to a great degree. I've also found many people have no idea what they're smelling if they do happen to notice, then I just tell them that it's an e cigar.

@TherealVaporblunt Man, listen. The whole bullet idea in it self is so good all you need to do is better the great designs you allready have!

Better materials, battery and a better solution for getting the mouthpiece to sit in it's place while in your pocket and you have a SUPER product.

If you need to up the price to meet those goals, then do it. It's not a human right to afford high tech gadgets. Make the best new Pinnacle you can, and those of us who can afford it will buy it :)

And on your bad days, remeber that the PnP - your brainchild - made som random guy like me, on the other side of thw world, quit combustion 100% from the second I got the PnP. And that's after 15 years of combustion - more than half my life!

Would'nt have happened if the PnP didn't work as well as it does.

What I'm saying is, the Pinnacle system is such a good idea that all you need to do now os improve on that idea, and let the revolutionary new ideas come when they come :)

Gahhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm new to this forum, a few weeks. I've read probably about 100/247 pages because I absolutely love the concept of the Pinnacle Pro. The form, size, portability, bullet system, bowl size, use while charging, new glass pong, water tool. The only herbal vaporizers I've ever used are the Volcano Digital, Original Vaporblunt, and The Pax. Basically I am sold on the Pnp DLX, but I keep reading posts about red flashing lights and battery issues. I'm not too concerned about cracking pongs or collars. I don't typically buy oils or waxes so I don't think I would be using it on the highest settings. I'm pretty certain I could easily follow the collar replacement steps if need be. My main question is what is the likely hood of ordering a PNP DLX from theyoyokid1 and having it stop working electronically in the next 365 days assuming i use it 1-2 times a day 4-5 days a week? I love the Arizer Solo's reliability and warranty, but I just can't seem to bring myself to buy something that I can't use outside without looking like a fucking crackhead. (Live in Northern VA btw) I don't know what to do. Please help me decide between these two vaporizers. I want the Pnp so badly, but I'm a college student and don't want to pay $200 for something that will break in a few months.

Any vaporizer that you buy there is a risk. Make sure you buy through an authorized vendor. In the spring VB will be coming out with newer model Pinnacle Pro.

I think I'm set on the Pinnacle Pro for now. I guess I need to stop worrying so much about what could go wrong and just put trust in yoyokid's reportedly excellent customer service. If my vape does happen to break beyond warranty or my repair abilities (i'm pretty tech/engineering savvy), I'll just save up for the new "Pinnacle X" supposedly dropping next year (maybe an early April release date before the 20th ;) ) or buy an Arizer Solo to hold me down until then. Happy vaping everyone. I'll post my experience once I get my first vape aka the Pinnacle Pro!

Just received my replacement PNP after my other one got the cracked collar. How can I avoid this happening again?

I'm hearing people say to take the cap on and off while the unit is still hot? If so, thats kinda inconvenient. Any other methods?

What's up guys. I've been creepily stalking your fine forum for months now deciding on a portable vape. My pnp just arrived yesterday, and i owe you guys a debt of gratitude. Thanks to this forum I am not the befuddled noon I would otherwise be. That being said I was hoping to get some insight from people who have had theirs for a long time without needing to have it serviced. Any tips and maximizing the length of this beautiful new relationship? I realize it's largely a numbers game, but could little things like letting it auto shutoff every time or not changing temps mid session affect it?

Don't use ISO and obviously don't drop it. Changing temp not a prob. I never had any probs but i didn't use high temps.
Don't use iso? That's the first I've heard that, thanks dude! Is it any benefit keeping it upright?

I would suggest putting a small screen on top of the herb in your bullets? It really helps keep the PnP clean and reduces the chance of the collar cracking. It also makes transporting packed bullets very simple. With a little trimming the Vapir no2 screens work perfectly.

Awesome I was looking for something like this! Does it effect how evenly it vaporizes? One of the most impressive parts of pnp is how evenly it capes. I love not having to stir

No ISO on the plastic.

Pop the screen so that it stick's slightly out of the glass stem. This will keep the screen cleaner, and you won't have to clean it with ISO as often.

Don't go over temp 3. I usually stay on 1 and 2, and only on 3 for shorter periods of time.

Handle it with care.

Remember, the goo that collects on the glass after a while can be vaped, and will make you go :whoa:

Keep in stable temps, as much as possible.

Enjoy :haw:

I've never used my PnPro without the screens and my herb always comes out evenly vaped. The screens also help if you want to just vape a half or quarter bullet.

Hell yeah! Looking forward to that goo. Good idea on keeping the top popped. Should I switch between pong and normal mp to keep them from softening or just let it ride?
