The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

It's crazy, I was doing mad research once I hit the "Buy" button. I really wanted the 1040 since it is shallow but things can be hard to come by living on an island. Best Buy only had the 1050 but it actually worked better than I thought...

The Mighty is nice and safe now:love:

I found www.zoro.com has much better prices on the Pelican Micro Cases, especially if you wait til they have a 25% of 30% off coupon offer.

One more observation: It would be nice to be able to adjust the LED display brightness on the Mighty.

this video confused me... i think there are too many variables to be taken under consideration (amount of herb loaded, vape temperature)

nemo,
When plugged into the wall and being used, is the Mighty running on AC power or is it still utilizing the battery? How long is the cord?

The cord is six feet, this is the charger

Not sure about which power source it utilizes. I would need to test at 0 battery, im assuming, to see if when plugged in the unit works immediately or whether it requires a minimum charge level to activate. Even then I really dont know *shrugs*

From the Edit: Mighty manual...

"Mains operation
The MIGHTY Vaporizer can also be operated with the power adapter or 12 volt car adapter, even when the batteries are completely discharged. Proceed as described in Section 7.1. “Charging the battery” and then connect up the vaporizer. "

cheers

fwiw, when I run a bowl in Herbie at 390 and fully spend it, I don't get more than one or two decent hits off it again at 445.

Yeah.. I've seen that on my Herbie too... But I wonder if running a bowl on mighty at 410 til it taps out then putting it in Herbie @ 445.. Is there anything left?

Good question. I would guess not much. I've noticed there is just about nothing left at 445 on Herbie when I get aggressive at 420. Plus, the conduction going on here would extract it even further.

Yeah.. so with the conduction going- is it possible that the temperature is actually higher than 410 as it is displayed on the read out?
Or that isn't possible?

I am on the fence of selling my Herbie and picking the Mighty up... I am a Storz Bickel fan and they have a great standing as a company VS Herbie..

I don't know. I think the real issue is what conduction can get out of herbs vs. convection. I'll bet if we took (in fact, I will do this soon with Herbie and the Baker) a load vaped in Herbie and stuck it in something like the Baker we could get a couple of extra hits. But I don't know what those hits would contain, other than bad taste. I just think conduction can take things further in terms of producing vapor, but not necessarily actives.

They all look about the same. Lol
I tend to disagree. The mflb, FF, seem to be less dense IMHO. I think there are differences with the density of the outputs, albeit subtle in some cases.
The crafty and mighty, look like they are on par with desktops in this video (with respect to density).
Sure we can't use this as a be all and end all, and there are other variables to consider, (eg. Amount loaded, same herbs, temp differences between vapes etc etc). But it's still an interesting video and interesting to compare.

I thought it was a useless exercise, but hey, that's just me. Just wayyyyyy too many variables going on here and each of those variables could cause him to alter how much vapor he was able to or wanted to inhale.

Regardless of absolute equity in all possible factors, I think the Crafty & Mighty vapor outputs in this video demonstrates excellent production and potential on par with the best of them. In different hands with a different strain n cure, technique, temp setting, etc., these two S & B ' s could possibly do even better than what we see here. JMO.

The mighty is dope...
... and it does dope things.

Just got mine in, incredibly impressed with the efficiency and full flavor that remained throughout. Packed a full load about .2 and sat on it for what seemed like 20-30 minutes at the default of 180c. (I have never vaped that low in other vapes I've tried, including with the Plenty.)

Finished it off then cranked it up to 395 or so for several more excellent tasting draws.

So far very pleased, much more efficient than combustion thusfar and that's something I've not found in my vape journey before. The thing seems to be a miser, but the draws are full and flavorful from start to finish. Mine will pay for itself.

A miser? What other vapes are you comparing it against? From everything that I have seen as well as how it is designed and operates, personally, I don't see it as a miser at all. I see it as a heavy hitting portable, which is the antithesis of what a miserly vaporizer would be.

It's just that a lot of portables recently have had a larger capacity than .2g. To name a few: Ascent, Pinnacle Pro, Indica, Pax, etc.

Edit: The Plenty fit about 1g of ground herb and needed the liquid pad to use a .2 with it. The Mighty and Crafty fit .2g maximum already and that's without the included liquid pad. With that, you can use .05-.1g with no problem.

Sounds like it can make short work out of a full or half load with maximum effect. Anyone yet try a tiny pinch for a quick pick-me-up?
