Damn, OF, wanted to report how well my last session with the VapMan plus new torch went and got caught way off-guard by that little reference! Laughed my ass of and took me a minute to get some composure back..

PAUL IS DEAD FOLKS :o

as you can guess by the level of my amusement, the VM is getting some proper practice time. Got a new lighter, which made a huge difference in terms of heat-up time and consistency, but unfortunately it is now acting up a little and changes flame size randomly while lit up.
Managed to get 4-5 nice puffs and some minor wasted ones per load, but still working on technique obviously. Don't know how some folks get about 12-15 puffs out but may the VM enlighten me one day. I'm happy if i can get 5-10 tasty puffs per load within the next weeks.

I love the taste and milkiness of the vapor. It is a different kind of vapor from that of the MINIVAP obviously due to the heating methods used (conduction/convection), but I enjoy both textures at different times.

Compared to the PAX, I definitely prefer the VM in terms of taste and vapor quality. If you like the experience that the PAX delivers, the VM provides a similar ability to puff around on your herb, but on a MUCH, MUCH more efficient scale. Even with only one weekend of practice I got a couple of hits out of the VM which were tastier, and milkier than anything the PAX ever delivered.

Not to mention the sheer amazement I find myself staring at the little space capsule after indulging its space fuel.

The only thing that I doesn't resonate with me is the name: Vapman.
As trivial as it is, and please don't misunderstand this as being homophobic or anything like that, but if someone asks me what this is, and I have to tell them that it is called Vapman, I feel kind of silly.
This babe is a diva to me, you got a give her love and attention to get some of that sweet juice... So if your gonna make it human, call her VAPEBABE! .. just kiddin! That's rude.

a quirky name like "Leonard" or "Winfred" would fit this steampunk gadget a lot more! In fact, if you hear a guy talking about how he wants to complement his Leonard with Daisy, you might be standing next to me

but why anthropomorphize an ingenious piece of functionality and art such as the vapMAN anyway?

So I bought a few standard SS screens yesterday and hopefully will be acquiring some Moroccan drysift style hash later so I'll puncture a hole in a screen and take it for a spin. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'm really hoping the proper screens will be ready for christmas orders as that would make my holidays.

The Vapman is a little beauty - that's for sure @Seasoned Senior :)

I bought mine directly from Vapman - but you can often get good deals buying from retailers instead, especially when they have sales on. If you're after a limited edition model though - then the Vapman site stocks them all - while the retailers tend only to stock a couple of models at a time. :peace: :)

My face is melting...
Ran some kief thru the VM this last weekend and gotta say this is what the little guy excels at. Whooo doggy..

Though I have to say that I'm unable to punch clouds with flowers the way many on here claim to be able to do. I get plenty o' flavor, and my load is reduced to a pleasnt brown goodness just very modest clouds. What am I doing wrong?

This cracked me the fuck up.

Now I know how my father probably used to refer to me to his friends... :ugh:

It could've been worse:D I refer to him as "The ManChild" now.

I'm so pleased to be the bearer of fantastic news .....the screens are now available to buy from the Vapman store!!!

Here's the News about the new addition from their site......

VAPMAN SIEVE FOR CONCENTRATES TO EVAPORATE LIQUIDS, OILS, RESINS AND WAX.

'Our newly developed concentrate sieve upgrades the vapman to the best universal evaporator on the market. Simply place the small sieve in the heating pan of the vapman. The ideal positioning of the sieve allows you gentle inhalation through conduction (contact warming) and convection (air blast heating) and this with a surprisingly authentic taste. Even the smallest amounts of concentrates evaporate extremely abundantly and should therefore be applied sparingly. Concentrates should to be heated a bit more. For thorough cleaning, our sieve, woven from the finest stainless steel wire (316L), can simply be placed in a solvent (alcohol, acetone or other). Residues of completely evaporated resins can also easily be cleaned away with a small brush. With concentrates it is even more important to rub the filter in the central piece on a piece of paper or a towel after every inhalation. This prevents the central piece from sticking to the heating pan. However, if you should notice that the central piece is stuck to the pan when opening the vapman, simply heat up the pan a little, and you can remove the central piece effortlessly. For liquids, two sieves can also be placed inside each other, this reduces the contact between the concentrate and the heating pan, and therefore the formation of residues.
We wish you lots of enjoyment using our products!'

I'm still experimenting with the plugged holes. I started with all holes plugged and now I only have two holes plugged. I will most likely unplug all holes eventually but for now I have no complaints.

i'm still playing with plugging the holes when messing with one of my little bubblers, gives much bigger vapor but runs a much greater risk of ending up with a lungful of smokie vapors and a blackened load.

i don't plug the holes when using it dry. Au naturale keeps me from coughing. I find the mix of fresh air designed into the vapor path makes for an amazingly smooth experience, so much so that there is really zero need to use the bubbler or extend the short mouthpiece.

Still can't get over how well this little vape does what it does. It blows me away every day.

I won a Walnut classic Vapman plus Vapman lighter last week on Ebay for $66 plus 11 for shipping. Got lucky, heard about the device while reading the MFLB thread, read a review on Toronto Vapes site, went to eBay and saw the listing at $60 with less than a minute left in the auction. I signed in and made a bid with just seconds remaining and was pleased to get it at $66. The lighter was a surprise, not even mentioned in the listing.
I was nervous about my impulse buy, but I received it on Saturday and now I am very pleased and amazed at the quality of the device, its ease of use, and the great results I'm already able to achieve. I'm looking forward to what it will do once I really get the hang of it.

So it was you that sniped it, huh?:nope: :goon: Me and my brother thought we had it for sure. We were gonna go halfers on it and if we liked it enough we would buy another one. But hey, for what it's worth I'm glad you are now able to enjoy the masterpiece that is the Vapman. Happy Vaping and welcome to the family!

I'm so close to ordering. Do I need it? No. Will it take food off the table? No. Will it look better after usage than my Lotus? Will it handle concentrate with the new screens like my Muad Dib? Are the colors of the shells on the website accurate? So many decisions.

No reason to plug holes — in fact the Vapman works better without plugged holes imo. I get clouds if I wish either way. I really am not a cloud chaser anyway — I am an effect chaser.

I plugged two holes in the beginning but removed them some time ago. I find the Vapman's design as it is to be excellent without modification. :peace:
I agree 100%

I thought that I was getting more vapor after plugging all three holes, but it was really just the fact that I had just gotten the hang of the technique.

I then unplugged all the holes and got the same big vapor clouds as with them plugged - and the Vapman ran much cooler too.

I couldn't believe it at first, but then I realized it was just my technique and not the hole plugging.

I wouldn't recommend plugging any holes now since it's really not necessary and it just gives you hotter vapor and a hotter Vapman as well.

I haven't updated my practice on this thread in a bit so i will now :) I use it as it came and have a system down now that works so very well. Like @steama , I am an effects chaser and my vapman is my one and only vape and no desire for another...i am the type person when i find a fit, i am content and on to the next thing to discover! LOL! Me and the vapman...we got this vaping shit in the bag! LOL!

( i sound like a commercial but I'm letting it stand! LOL!)

So my experimenting with some hard(ish) moroccan hash and a normal pipe screen (Hole made and trimmed) has been going pretty well. I've had some bits fall through and foul the crucible a little but nothing to worry about. The vapman has easily enough power to vape hash and does so rather well I think. Similar to other conduction based vapes but the raw power of flame allows for a nice quick, even extraction.

This morning I was happy to see the new sieves are available! So despite being skint I decided to bite the bullet and order some. I'll let you guys know my impressions once they arrive.

Someone a few pages ago asked about how to know when there hash is fully vaped. Now I remembered after torching a couple of pans that really the best indicator is taste. If your dealing with import quality hash (not top notch bubble/sift/oil etc) then the flavour is your best measurement. Once I get a hint of acrid, bitter vapour I end the load. It all goes for edibles/oil anyway so nothings lost in the end. My hash comes out dry dark and dusty but not black and powdery.

Take care you lucky people
