Hi Everyone,

Im looking for a portable vape that can extract faster than my solo. while I love my solo for the flavour and its super efficient extraction (I flip it upside down :D), i find the session times are a bit too long for me. I usually start at 3 and then move up to 4 and it takes me that 12 minute session to get sufficiently medicated. I always save that bowl for another session and again repeat by starting at 3 and then moving up to 4 and i still get just as medicated! This left me wondering if there is a faster way to get medicated?

im looking at the firefly and crafty, any ideas, suggestions?

I have tried many portible vaporizers, and the only one that has satisfied my quick session needs is The Hammer. It works much like a log vape, and can extract in just a few lung busting hits.

I think that battery technology is a limiting factors for portables, as it takes a lot of power to create strong convection heat which is absolutely necessary for quick extraction.

With this in mind I suggest you look at flame powered units such as: hammer, lotus, vapman, daisy

Thanks for the suggestions mate!

I had a look into the hammer, its seems like a hard hitting portable especially when paired with the water tool like in the videos above!

but i cant use a water tool or butane for that matter, firstly the noise and second im not comfortable with butane as the temperature has to be manually controlled and i need a vape that can be passed around amongst friends. also coming from a solo, im really averse to glass, its something that can break and hence less portable and makes it look like i have a crack pipe or something.

Firewood? I can do a new 2.1 video tomorrow, focused towards quick extraction. Its far greater than the 2.0.

I really like the T-Vape 2.0 and Imag+ for quick medication. I use the Imag+ at red and green primarily. I think of the T-Vape 2 to just output 230C always but I personally find it to have better inital taste than the Imag+, its just not as easy to use.

I know it's butane, but the VaporGenie is awesome for passing around to friends. Very easy to explain and hits hard. 8 seconds max per hit. It looks like a corn cob pipe and is pretty much unbreakable. Any portable that is battery powered is going to be a minimum of 60 seconds heat up time.

i'm not a fan of the VaporGenie because you breath in flame exhaust to use it.
i do like the VapeMan and the Lotus as lighter powered options. (there may be more)

or you can keep vaping bud at home and switch to concentrates for portable. It solves the battery limitation problem.

I enjoy the taste of my vg glass sherlock and their glass bat, but did not like the taste of the wooden and brass vg's. I found that the sherlock can give me huge hits, like the lotus but without the hassle of trying to get a small torch to work upside down without sputtering. Props to the lotus with a medium/culinary torch though, it can definitely hang with the biggest hitters when not hampered by an inconsistant flame.

Contrary to StickyShisha i don't taste butane but i'll leave the VaporGenie aside anyway.

Hummm...

Fast could mean halogen i guess, so portable would translate as the Venus. Hoping it's still in business...

Well at least you could pretend it's a designer lamp!

Good day, have fun!!

Good point, there is that. Maybe the Firefly is a good portable for the OP? They are fairly quick, yes? And no butane.
yep, seemed like the FF was the only non butane one gave great on demand hits, but the FF thread has lot of users running into battery problems. im gonna wait till there is a consensus on how it fares against the new Storz & Bickel portables

The Ascent has a bigger bowl and you should be able to finish a session in less than 10 minutes. Decent battery, good flavor, and smaller than the Solo.

The Indica is a nice little portable that puts out great vapor pretty fast. Just have it loaded and ready to go before you leave the house. You can use both spacers for that small bowl size that produces nice quality flavorful hits. It's pretty stealth if you get a black one. It doesn't smell that much when you close the lid either. They've just come out with a newer model that's called the Noir. This is a beta unit.

I can't give direct comparisons of the Crafty to the FF, but the Crafty (and Mighty) are both HEAVY HITTERS. I'm used to my EVO, and the Crafty definitely satisfies my needs. The Crafty and Mighty might not be for everyone, but if you're looking for quick, tasty, massive hits with no learning curve, S&B has you covered.

Thats great news about the crafty, i was really considering it. I just got my indica so VAS has subsidised a bit :p

I would avoid any vape that claims to be 'portable' yet requires watertools to give you lung busting hits..at that point you might as well be using a desktop if the watertool is a requirement.

I 100% agree with this ... I'm in exactly the same camp as @Roth ... EVO is my primary @ home vape, and apart from the MiniVAP, the Crafty is the first portable I've owned that's been able to satisfy my needs like the EVO ...

I'm closely watching the Crafty. Hoping the App will be available for iPhone 5 S. Have they figured that out? Hoping Planetvape will be selling them. Really wishing for a 20% off eventually. $400 is a bit high for my wallet.
