it is and just goes to prove once more that there is no such thing as the "perfect" vaporizer, for they all have their weaknesses in one form or another.
What?
I was just working on that "perfect" vaporizer features, I'm going to name a few in case any manufacturer is watching.

1.- It has to be the size of a Pax ideally.
2.-Fully convection (for flavor of course)
3.-able to give you clouds the size of the ones I see the Mighty putting out.
4.- battery life like the miniVAP

That should please most of the people. I think, Oh, and reasonable priced, Is that too much to ask?

If the Mighty is like the plenty then the metal bowl is physically connected to the heater and they heat as one.

So the bowl essentially is the heating element, or at least part of it? Sounds like the Arizer Solo on steroids.

This is starting to sound more like a 50/50 hybrid than a mostly convection unit. That doesn't totally jive with all the talk about flavor, but the video @ShayWhiteGrow posted makes it seem like there's a lot of conduction going on.

I sold my Solo because it was too much of a session vape and I became spoiled by the convection flavor offered by my other units. To me, the Solo started tasting mediocre even from the first few hits.

The vapor leaking out is minimal and residual from the cooling chamber holding it inside. If laid on the side this stops it. Maybe that speaks of the design and why it doesnt stand? And ill go ahead and just say it, the mighty does taste better then the firefly :)
EDIT:Looks like I was wrong here no residual at all!:lmao:

Maybe a smaller cooling chamber will hold less leakable vapor...

...or a larger one provide more cooling/filtering capability...

Both cooling units are sold individually.

I may stick to the small one for both units since the fine screen does a great job keeping vapor clean...

...and I don't find it gets too hot the way I use it. More vapor in me with less unit to stick to.

cheers

Wow great idea. I was wondering if the mighty provided additional cooling and thus cooler vapor, due to its larger size.
I guess once I get my crafty I can find out myself.
However what is your opinion?

Cheers T.
Going by memory of the small one (she's soaking) and fresh experience with the large one-
at 180c, fine screens in both, consecutive hits after temp returns to green-
seems the larger stays a little cooler on the first 2-3 hits, but by 4-5 they're both starting to get warm. The vapor never seems hot at 180c, hit after hit, with either cooling unit.
May be a wee bit harder draw with the larger; going only from memory.

I think I'm starting to favor the small one, for both the C and M, simply 'cause it cools enough (for me at 180c), filters well enough with a fine screen, and provides the most direct vapor path.

So, it seems you get a few cooler first hits with the larger, as well as more filtering of particles. If I were only getting the Crafty I'd easily add one of the larger cooling units (for backup and variety) to the basket. And vice versa.

happy vaping

Hey guys,
I just got home to find the Mighty waiting for me!
It is currently charging but I was wondering if a burn off is necessary?
Are people running it on high for a few minutes before first usE?
Thanks in advance

That just happened...
I don't think it's necessary but it wouldn't hurt so what the heck...

On another note heat is bad for lithium batteries. There really isn't a need to run these vapes at maximum temp for extended periods. So keep that in mind as well.

Hey ShayWhiteGrow, how would you say the Might's flavour compares to the Firefly? i see you have one from your sig, and didnt come across anyone comparing the mighty with FF :science:
I'd buy the Mighty first because it is a lot faster then the minivap. Then the minivap because the vapor on both these units is amazing! But with the minivap you're kinda more committed to 10-12 minutes if you wanna finish a bowl. I think with both units you could shut them down and come back to a load but I don't prefer that as to keep them in tip top clean shape. The firefly is awesome but the battery life stinks. (3 bowls per battery) It is quick, discreet, and efficient but you'd have to carry spare batteries for a long day out. The taste in the firefly dissipates a lot faster then the mighty, I mean less hits. Whereas the Mighty the taste is there like herbie till no vapor is produced.

410 makes for some thick thick vapor but I am finding that if I hit it at 385 until I get no more vapor then up it to 410 I don't get much more then one additional hit before vapor output drops to nothing.

Interesting... So it would seem the temp is either not as accurate as I would like, or there is far more conduction then originally thought. I guess either way the temp gage would have to be off.

I like to start a day about 370 in the morning and work my way up to the 400's in the afternoon, so I would really prefer if this wasn't the case. Keep the findings coming!:science: Thanks again gents

I try not to think to deep into the actual number but use it as a point of reference for the particular vape I'm using. Since no vape that I know of actually measures the temp of the herb I prefer to think of it as a glorified 0-10 volume knob. But in the case of the Mighty it goes to 11. :D

Ya same here @elmomuzz
But either way there should be plenty of vapor left going from 60% all the way up to 100% power. Something just has to be off for an increase of "25 degrees" to only produce a single hit. Seems like 385 is as good as being maxed out then?

Just got the mighty today. Figure i'd give some of my impressions.

It came fully charged right out of the box which was nice, plugged it in for a few extra minutes anyways just to be safe. First thought holding it was eh, nothing too aesthetically special but feels and looks extremely well made. Filled up my first bowl, tried packing it without the filler that comes with the mighty and found it to be much less efficient than just using the tool. Luckily anything you spill around the chamber can be easily cleaned out using the brush so it was not a problem at all.

Putting the cooling unit back on is extremely simple and feels natural. Again you can tell the vape is made of quality components. I turned it on, set to 185 celsius and it took about a minute and a half to reach the temperature. As the unit buzzed to indicate that it was ready, I took a hit and found it to be extremely flavorful with plenty of volume. The draw resistance is basically 0 and it is extremely impressive how well and smooth it pulls for a portable device. Subsequent 5-10 draws continued to retain flavor and never really tasted that "popcorn" taste. Auto-shutoff function worked fine for me, it never shut off mid session and when I was done it shut off after the minute mark. Some vapor does leak out in between hits but it is pretty negligible, I would just cover it with my thumb slightly to stop it.

Overall after two sessions my opinion is that it has a much better taste than portables I have tried; solo, pax, PnP, ascent. It rivals the flavor of desktop vapes like the volcano and DBV/SSV while offering respectable cloud volume. Even when using the metal liquid pad in the chamber there was no draw resistance. It is not as big as I thought it would be but definetely not my definition of discreet with a plethora of alternatives that have it beat in that category. If you aren't looking for the most discreet thing out there but instead prioritize desktop quality vapor in the size of a portable, I definetely fully recommend it.

Just wanted to chime in...I received my Mighty today and I do agree, this thing is beast! Coming from the Vapolution, MFLB, Solo, and the most current...the Pax. The Pax will be going to a homie and for my personal opinion, I have the best of both worlds:
Concentrates= Persei + SR74
Flowers= Mighty

I broke it in with a full bowl at 180 C and the taste remained throughout. I got about 6 nice hits and decided to call it quits. I was still getting some vape so I am sure I would have gotten a few more hits. I didn't notice any extra smoke coming out of the cooler. It was at night so I will have a better view tomorrow.
