I had the male version so I had to use the adapter . And I have heard conflicting reports about it fitting .
Can anyone confirm if the Solo will fit on the d020-w-2 (female) with a gong without an adapter?

)Ya know, have you considered buying an Ash-Catcher and pairing it with a nice J-Hook? You could get the sidecar action you want, perfect 90 degree action for no neck pain, and you could choose any sort of perc action you want! Hell, AC's are cheap enough you could buy several and switch them up!

(Sadly this AC is no longer amongst the living, snapped the blue neck when trying to catch it mid-fall! - never hit the ground, the sudden decrease in velocity from catching it was enough to break it!)

Note - I'm not a fan of that mouthpiece. So I ordered two custom ones from a local blower (similar shape to the Grav-Labs JHook Shape), but he's taking forever (3 weeks and I'm STILL waiting on them!)
IOffer is also a great place to find a variety of shaped j-hooks (best place I've seen so far actually)

So I just got home and unwrapped my barrel to funnel. The box did not appear damaged and I was presently surprised that it was actually double boxed. I had very high hopes that it would actually be ok but upon inspection I found a crack on the perc
And the perc is also all wonky
I am scared to even use it because of the message posted earlier about bad tempering. I guess I will start the process of trying to get this resolved
Looks like none of us are getting lucky today.
Mine has a huge crack by the joint
I am also going to contact the seller for a replacement.

Both look pretty good, though I would probably be more inclined to get the first one from Kathy.
Also even though my gb-186 hasn't been shipped from Maarte yet, I am glad I decided to order it instead of Steven's barrel to funnel since it seems like most of the batch is bad.

On a lighter note my fab egg came from Kathy today, 12 days from order to door. Besides one *tiny* scratch on the base, I can't find a single thing wrong with it. I'm pretty impressed, it's a pretty damn intricate piece considering the price(I got in at 46, looks like it went up)...and it hits very nicely. A new domeless came today as well(new vape), so it was fun to pair em up...I'll get some pics and video up in the next couple days hopefully..at the moment I'm a bit dabbed out... heh

I am in no hurry so I asked for a replacement. I mentioned that I knew someone else who bought one that was also defective and that he told the buyer there was an issue with tampering.
He already messaged me back and said sorry about this and that he would send out a replacement. I placed a new order, but did not pay for it. He said he will adjust the price to $2 so that he is able to ship out the replacement when the new batch is ready.
I hope the new ones are better. If not I will be asking for a full refund of the first order so that I can order from Kathy as well. (I am not going to mark my first original order as completed until I receive the replacement).
Steven seems like a nice guy and is at least offering to make it right so I figured I would give him a second chance, but if that fails then Kathy or BTOC will be getting my money.

By the way mine didn't come perfect, black spots I cant get off, glass not smooth and chip on the mouth piece.

He only lowered the price of my re-order to $6.45 because he said he has had too many $2 re-orders so he had to change the price a little so he would not get in trouble from DHgate.
No problem. I'm cool with having to pay $6.45 as long as it is a really good replacement.
He said the new batch is being made and should be done next week. He asked me to message him next week reminding him to send out a replacement if I haven't received a tracking number by next week.
I asked him to double check my replacement before sending it out and make sure there are no cracks and that the piece is not leaning and that the perc is straight (mine was not only cracked but leans heavily to the right making the perc not fire evenly).
I guess we shall see in a few weeks if the replacement is good quality or not.
I just decided to order one from Kathy as well… The mouthpiece looks like a thicker disk which I think will be nice.
I will just sell or give away whatever one is of lesser quality!

I told him about how very few FC members used to order from Kathy because of her bad quality and fake tracking numbers, but now she has much better quality items and a huge variety and many FC members order from her everyday.
He said he will be producing really good quality items from now on so we shall see if he becomes a new Kathy

I made that first vid, I'd highly recommend that recycler for 40 bucks. It's actually my room mates so I haven't had tons and tons of time to inspect it but for the price I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. I think there was one small bubble that we found in the glass but all the welds and everything looks pretty damn impressive for such a cheap piece of china glass.
Edit: Actually I did think of something to complain about. There should be a support between the long tube connecting to the joint and the piece. If it tipped over I wouldn't be shocked if it snapped right off from very minimal force.

dam that sucks i just about layed down for one of them last night, As for the stones and black shit in the glass well thats china made glass, American/Europe glass tube is 3-4 times the price for a reason but i wouldnt be too stressed about shit in the glass cracks on the other hand would be a pain. Im thinking i might go back to this one

I just got my GB-228 delivered from yingmin and it also has these small black spots on it. First piece i got from China that had this problem. They appear to be set into the glass so i think its impossible to remove. It does seem to be on the outside of the can rather than the inside. Not sure that makes me feel better about it tho...

If my math is correct, he is about 5 out of 7 bad deliveries and one no show/not working tracking #.
I'm 120 dollars in with nothing but a broken piece. He is very polite and apoligetic, and has my trust until proven otherwise. But if I were you I would wait until I show a satisfied report before investing.... Every penny of this could have gone to Colie or an appreciative artist. With each report I hear, it makes it more difficult to believe this was all just bad luck. Possibly bad wrapping, in which case he will learn and improve. Hopefully not B stock. One thing is for sure, we will all know soon enough and support him greatly if he is doing his best.

I am extremely suspicious of the whole situation. My order arrived double boxed and with no external damage which leads me to believe that it was sent out cracked. The glass also has a rough sandy feeling to it. I think that he knew that he was sending out a poor quality product and did it anyways.
He obviously had no idea this forum existed and that many of the people ordering would be in communication with each other. I think this fact gives us an advantage we wouldn't have as just a single customer.
I don't want any more glass from him and have been asking for a full refund. After a good amount of back and forth with language barrier I think that he wants me to completely break it and provide him with picture for me to get a refund. But it sounds like he needs this for himself to get refund.
I don't think that anyone should have had to spend a single extra cent to get what they paid for or wait however many weeks for him to send out replacements. He is lucky we didn't all file disputes at the same time

Basically saying he's only offering refunds if there's cracked on the percs even though he's openly admitted the glass is not good quality to other customers and we all have the same issue of the glass not feeling smooth and having black specs that cant be removed + being chipped and broken in areas) so this isn't some bullshit 1-off story.
After some back and forth it seems he's willing to give a replacement for $6.45, which is fine with me personally.
